I really do not know why they make everything difficult for us Nigerians. If you go to other embassy very easy but of course I'm from Nigeria, they have to make it difficult😢

Hi, I originally booked an appointment for 20th March 2025, but due to an emergency, I am needing an earlier date in January 2025. Would it be possible to do a walk-in for a date between 22nd and 24th January? On another note, has anyone used the Contactless Biometric Capture (CBC) App in the UK? It was supposed to be launched in November 2024, but the app is horribly and incredibly frustrating to use. Today, it refused to connect to my internet and kept claiming there was no connection available, even though my network is stable. I’m starting to wonder if the app has even been activated for use in the UK yet. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hello, I recently applied, my appointment is in December but I wasn't provided with the acknowledgment slip and cant even find any option on their website to print it from. Did they ask you for the acknowledgment slip when you attended? or could it be that when I applied at the end Aug it was no longer required.
So basically you need the payment receipt that acknowledges you have made payment, the application form that basically states how many pages the passport will be and it has Generally your personal details( that’s the second form )and the last one is the appointment slip. Those are the three forms sent you should go with. All the best. I hope this helps.
I checked with someone that works in the bank in Nigeria. But better still you can check it online now. When you log in to the Nigerian immigration services Uk. You click renewal of passport. Then it shows a segment you put your NIN and and your date of birth. If it’s verified your details automatically pops up. But if not no details shows. I hope this helps.

I recently lost my passport in the UK and was informed by the police station that they do not issue police reports for the lost passports so I could not apply lost/damaged passport on the website. I tried calling the Nigerian High Commission and could not get through, so I went on to apply for a renewal since the lost passport will get expired this December. I only have a soft copy of the data page and the visa sticker. I also only have my NIN number and the card is in Nigeria but I think it is verified since it was accepted on my application. Will I still be able to attend the interview without the hard copies?
Hi dear. I’m not sure how to go about renewal of lost passport. But you would be able to print your NIN slip online. When you download the NIMC PERSONAL ID APP. So you could go with the slip as well.

do they take your old nigerian passport from you at the high commission? or do they give it straight back to you after they have checked all the documents pls?
Yea, you would have to book an appointment. And it’s actually in few months you get a date. The reason why it’s better to start the application six months before the expiration of the old one.

They usually give the old passport back to you immediately after checking your documents.
