Couldn't have happened with a better guy. I remember bowling youth tournaments with Cody and he was always such a positive light. So cool to see some professional coverage on this and just goes to show the beautiful moments of bowling outside the professional tour in everyday league! Cody is a beast and can't wait to see what he does next.
Your so lucky to have your parents there for you In moments like that. My first 800 was 2 months after my dad passed and he was the only person I wanted there. Congrats on the series and the future.
Beautiful story. At an age of 50, I'm getting better and I always make an effort to find what help my bowling and play around with it since I started bowling in the leagues since mid '00s so I'm a late bowler who just got started. I'm searching for a 300 and I would love to get multiple honor achievements in my life like 300s, 800s, front 11s and 299s. Also get an incredible 900 three game scratch. The best advice I can give anyone is to step out of your comfort zone by doing different things with your release, footwork and etc. Also, never give up till your dreams come true.
WOW!! .. amazing!! .. I cannot begin to imagine what it takes to do that. I haven't even gotten to the first 300 .. holy cow! .. I can't even imagine 900 series. That is just amazing!
Awesome story. I'm friends with Steve Kosela who bowled a 900 in March 2022 using a Helios. That ball is on display at the center he shot it at. At last count he had 85 300's (no idea how many he has now) but the told me he gave 6 of his rings to youth bowlers nd told them to give them back when they got their first 300's. He said he has gotten 1 back so far. This was a couple of months ago at a tournament at the center he bowled the 900 at. I happened to qualify 2nd at that tournament but got booted first round.
Great video & super inspiring story! As a high school coach myself, I absolutely love seeing his excitement about his team & helping the youth movement grow. Congratulations Cody!🎳🏆🎳
Me too! I've put myself in the position to shoot 300, with the front 11, so many times it almost makes me sick!😫 299 = 28 times * 14 ten pins * 5 seven pins * 9 eight pins 🤦🏼♀️ 298 = 6 times 297 = 2 times You'd think after 36 chances, at least one time I could get lucky and they'd all fall. Nope, leave it to me to defy the mathematical odds...a literal statistical improbability at this point lol The games that I stoned 8 pins are the ones that haunt me the most, but I just have to laugh at this point or I would go crazy.🤪 I will be 40 later this year so I know the clock is ticking & my opportunities to achieve perfection are becoming fewer each season. After all I've given of myself to this crazy game we love, I can only hope the bowling gods will let them all fall for me one of these days. It's definitely at the top of my Bucket List & I will keep grinding until it's marked off!
The idea that someone would act like because it was during league that it isn't just as impressive. Bowling 300 is a feat. Bowling three of those in a row is insane. Only 38!
@@TenPinLife Because a small but vocal part of the bowling community still want to look at honor scores as being something that only the top tier of bowlers in the world should achieve purely due to their talent. I think if they appreciated the amount of skill and the insane amount of luck needed to carry that many strikes in a row we might be better off.
Allison"s 900 was not sanctioned with the then ABC. The inspector came the next morning to the lanes in California and would not approve the 900!. If approved Allison would have had the 1st sanctioned 900 in history.
Hi Ben, I loved the excitement of Cody's story and so when I watched the TOC this week via UA-cam from the start I thought there is no one I know who could do the same type of story about Belmonte and his journey from being near the bottom to rise to the top. Would you consider doing such a story? I would love to watch it. You are a good story teller when it comes to the Bowler's World. Thanks.
It almost seems impossible that it can be done. There are so many times that you're throwing great shots just to leave a ten pin. But not once leaving a ringing ten seems unbelievable. On a side not: They (USBC) should go back and recognize Allison's 900
I can't imagine not leaving some sort of stupid corner pin honestly. Its such a cool story and I'm glad we got to tell it. On Glenn's... I know there are many on the inside that wish they could recognize his 900, but there are variables out of their control limiting that reality. It'll never happen unfortunately.
Really glad to see you posting content again! I am missing your Tour vlogs, especially this week at the TOC. You got us spoiled last year and your coverage is definitely missed! 👏🏼🎳👏🏼
@@TenPinLife congratulations on baby #2! I took a 7 year hiatus away from the game when my son was born so I totally understand taking the necessary time for family. Enjoy every minute & make tons of memories as time goes by much too fast. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us down the road...best wishes for all that you do! 🎳❤️🎳
The absence of the certification of a contested playing field does not discount the efforts of the 40 people that have completed it since then. Those that don't care for that reason need to get over it, it's never going to change.

Those types of things happen when keep putting yourself in those situations. Congrats, Cody.
Then there’s some of us that just keep showing up to League 🤣🤣

I love that idea of giving the rings back! What a good use of something that has become sort of taken for granted!
@@TenPinLife Wife just told me it was posted on Facebook that Steve rolled another 300 tonight. This one at my home center
@@dansbowling8879 when you’re good you’re good I guess! Lol
So there is an 899 and a 900 series on the same pair? That's insane!
Wow, that was powerful stuff. Very inspiring to a 160 avge bowler
Glad you enjoyed it!

You are not a house hack man, keep up the work.
Absolutely sick! Great job
Thank you!!
Great video, I really like this guy and his storytelling. Makes me wanna get one one day!
Glad you liked it Chris!
Damn there should habe been way more hype
Such an amazing feat!!!!
Amazing! Phenomenal night. I’m still waiting for my first 700. I was out of the sport 41yrs.
You'll get there. Fun fact, my father-in-law shot 800 9 months before he ever shot 700. Maybe you'll jump the boat too!
I just want my first 300 to happen dang it
It’ll be here before you know it!

That would definitely be a story worth telling, but the barriers to producing such a product the right way are unfortunately high. Maybe one day!

I too have 3 perfect games. However it was over a 16 month period!
I think that should count for something!

the other team was giving you guys 5 pins a game and you just ran em over
I watched this so many times, and never once looked at the scoreboard lol
so 879 , 899,900 all in same house... wth easy but u still gotta carry
I don't care how "easy" it is. You still have to make the shots.
…but lost two out of three points to a 120 handicap bowler….
But seriously, special night, congratulations

What
From California: until Glenn Allison's 900 is recognized, nobody ou here gives a crap.

If you bowl perfectly at your own bowling alley you maybe blocked the oil.
You’re a MORON
Sad what has happened to bowling! Synthetics ruined the game!
Shut up. Glenn Allison did it with a yellow dot. Quit your crying.
Okay Boomer 🙄
