What an amazing time of your life! This video took me back to going off on my own for the first time, and I became so nostalgic for this precious era of a young woman's life. I just moved out of my single-girl apartment a few days ago and packed up almost a decade's worth of memories. Time flew by so quickly! I remember setting up my space and doing all the things I needed to do, and I remember that sense of accomplishment when (YAY!) I did it ALL ON MY OWN. That is such a powerful feeling and yes, be proud! My married life era awaits, and I am definitely looking forward to it, but also with a bittersweet look back at the years that shaped me as an independent woman. I don't know you, but I've started following your channel recently as I've also ran my first two marathons last year and my first half marathon last month. Congratulations on your brave move to the States, and welcome to LA! Cheers!

It’s honestly pretty relaxing to watch you do all the admin stuff. I just moved states, obviously way less admin stuff required than moving countries, but still requires a ton of changes. So it’s fun to watch someone else do it too :)

GIRL! I move A LOT and you are killing it!! I'll say it a thousand times, I am so proud of you (and I don't even know you!) ❤ I have a similar layout apartment and the model has a bookshelf and smaller round table in the area between the kitchen and living room. Bookshelf brings in height (on the same wall as the soft) and I found that even though I have a kitchen counter to eat at, I do love having a table - even if it's used to just bring in color (with the chairs) and decor with some flowers. Also, get yourself some "picture hooks" They are great because they only use a small nail and they hold the heaviest of frames. Welcome to the USA 🥂

Holly... you'll have to adapt to saying cart for trolley, pants for trousers and fries for chips and chips for crisps 😃 I'm not American but we have a lot of similar words to the US and I remember when I first came to live in England, I got the strangest looks when I rocked up to work one day after walking in the rain and causally mentioned my pants were wet, meaning my pants legs. I had no idea of the word differences. I've asked for chips before and got fries instead....I could go on about the times I've said things that weren't British English and made people either giggle or wonder why I'm so weird....I have a feeling you'll have similar experiences soon 😊
