- **Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

Ohmygoodness, the depth of these strokes were evident from the beginning, and only got deeper. This is gorgeous!
WOW!!! Like wearing a gold belt with your worn out blue jeans and a white linen top…
So cool!
yes!!!! Love this!
This is unbelievable. I love this cross hatching technique. I am searching for all of your cross hatching videos!! I have to learn how to do this. Thanks 😊
This matches nothing in my home, but I’m OBSESSED with it!!!!! Wow!!! I adore it!!! So so gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
Really turned out beautiful.
love the color scheme and cross hatch pattern it turned out beautiful
Super impressed, the gold knocked it out of the park!
Just a bit to tie in hardware
Turned out just beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I cross hatch pieces alot, fun to watch this! Nice job, Brandy
WOW! At the beginning of this video, I was thinking... what on Earth are you doing, Brandy? Yuck! But the finished product has so much depth and it has its on brand of unique character! Truly a one-of-a-kind-Masterpiece! Brava, my friend BRAVA! ALSO, this video is a perfect visual representation of something Norman Rockwell said. (Paraphrasing) He said that he never let anyone see any of his work until it WAS TOTALLY COMPLETED! People that aren't artists LOVE to give unwanted advice and they don't understand that a WORK IN PROGRESS is just that... in progress! So much of a masterpiece gets bad before it gets better. As you know, the late Thomas Kinkaid, the Painter of Light, laid down deep dark tones in order to contrast the light... to make the light look brighter. Love your work! B~}
Yes! This definitely went through an ugly phase.. (a long one at that!). Thanks so much for the kind words!
I have loved every single video and piece you have done! This is a technique and finish I do not love! I appreciate your style and watching everything you do!
It’s so beautiful, Brandy! Use it in happiness and health for the whole family!
Thank you! Excited to get it in the room
@@BrushedbyBrandy Please post a picture. That was a lot of work!!!! But so worth it!!!
It's so pretty! The blue Jean look is one I want to try.. yours is perfect.

I love the hatched technique. I have watched you do it in another video, and I think I’m ready to try it! Brandy, you are truly a great instructor. Thank you for giving your time to share your art.

It does! Have to run your hand over it
What an amazing transformation Brandy! Beautiful as always! 💗💗💗
I've watched you cross hatch before but something about this piece makes it my favorite! I love the colors!! I think the flat clearcoat was a really good choice for this piece.
I'm so impressed by this amazing transformation! Very unique piece, thanks a lot for sharing your techniques with us❤️❤️❤️
Just learned my next step on a piece I have been stumped on. Adding the wax with a bit of dark wax. Thank you b
Dark waxes add a beautiful effect

You’re definitely an artist. Your work is always outstanding. I love what you do. Great job turning an average dresser into a beautiful piece of furniture.
Awww, thank you!
Outstanding Brandy! You know I love this technique. You do it so well. I could see this in a Coastal decor as well. It would be very nice in that style decor. Thanks for the tutorial once again. You rock!
Very true, it could be beachy too
Gorgeous I love it!
I love this technique!! Beautiful piece!!
You always amaze me with your work. I absolutely love this!!!!
You seem to have a 'work out' with each piece - be careful of repetitive strain injury to your hand/arm, it's no joke. Beautiful job btw.
Absolutely, beautiful!!!
I am in love with this technique and the beautiful result of your hard work. Definitely going to try this out. Stunning 👌
Oh my life! I love this , just beautiful ❤❤❤

absolutely love love this finish. ive seen it done and could never quite get how to do it. thanku so much for explaining it and all the detail work you teach. i love your shorter videos when it is just you only and teaching. its so much easier to watch and enjoy. another stunning inspirational piece thankyou so much. look forward to more videos like this!!
The longer lives get a little more in depth, but this gives something for everyone
Thank you , very nice 😊
Its, beautiful
Brandy, this is gorgeous. Question for you....can you add gator hide under the flat clear coat?
Wondering if using all Silk the crosshatch my will be as nice. This is beautiful.
💓💓💓 as always! Brandy I noticed you applied the topcoat after applying the gilding and black wax do you always do that? I was taught that topcoat goes on first as wax would repel it ? I’m wondering how topcoat holds up when applied over wax it sure would make it easier if I could accent with wax first.
That custom shade, was it 1.1.1 ratio? I love the color so much 😍. This piece is brilliant all together too. I love it.
Yes, roughly, although I didn't measure
Beautiful. I’ve been wondering - is there a specific cleaner you are supposed to use on the painted pieces? Or can you use any commercial cleaner?
I use dixie belle white lightning, cab use TSP from hardware store as well
Wow gorgeous! How many hours do you have into this one?
I hadn't kept track, but here is my usual schedule
