The H4Bt engine is the best thing about my sandero. Its pretty quick very quiet and economical the technology that has gone into the development is amazing. The Renault F1 team helped develop it.
Great video. Its nice to see Dacia are not afraid to show the production process from start to finish. I personally think the plant they are made in is just as advanced as the ones that build high end marques. The workforce also looks happy and proud of the product they are making. Romania really stands beside its brand and I personally cant fault them. We have 5 Dacias in my family and we all like them. Yes they are basic compared to other brands and the quailty of the interiors etc isn't as good but we have to remember they sometimes cost less than half that of other brands. My Sandero cost me £7495 and for that I got all the basics plus a bit more. Remote locking power steering central locking dab radio bluetooth LED DRLs and most importantly for me Air Conditioning the only thing I don't like about it is the fact you have to use a key to get in the boot. Will be getting a new duster next year in comfort spec the value for money on that car is unmatched anywhere.
There must be something about the boot locking on UK cars as in the rest of Europe the boot unlocks with the remote. Also Dacia have been trusted with making all the 3 cylinder 0.9 engines for the whole Renault/Nissan requirements.
despite these cars being pretty basic, it still fascinates me how complex car manufacturing really is, even for these "basic" cars. That amount of production, materials and man hours is being sold for such relatively low price... Margins must be super tight.
Dacia ist für mich das, was VW einmal war. Der neue Volkswagen. Unseren Logan MCV fahren wir jetzt schon im 11. Jahr. Er hat mittlerweile fast 240000 km auf der Uhr stehen. Außer Verschleißteilen war nie etwas gewesen. Es ist der Basisbenziner mit 83 PS. Was wurden wir belächelt...hab nach einem halben Jahr auf Autogas umrüsten lassen. Auch hier hieß es das er mir um die Uhren fliegt..🐩;-) Deswegen, ich lasse nichts auf die Marke kommen. Natürlich sind es keine Sportwagen und auch keine Luxuswagen. Es sind funktionale, zuverlässige Autos. Deswegen steht auch der Nachfolger schon fest: Ein Lodgy, wieder LPG, diesmal ab Werk. Auf die nächsten 10 Jahre! Bravo Dacia .

Great to see the progress Dacia are making despite the poor sales service offered in the renault dealers who are reluctant to let you order the car you want, often being worse informed than the customer. Coupled with a delivery waitof six or more months Dacia is being hampered by the parent company. Still waiting to be given a delivery date for a car ordered in march.
I had this. I went in to buy a basic sandero Access model. The dealer pushed and pushed until I brought an Ambiance instead and then pushed me to get in in a color rather than white. I stood my ground with the paint but gave in on spec. Its not to say I'm unhappy with it as the car is great. I also get the feeling renault dealers no diddly squat about the cars. I had to tell them the car needed running in.....I always read the owners manuals.
Mi se pare unul dintre cele mai bune documentare "how it's made" de la Mioveni. Totusi mai multi soferi de dacii noi mi s-au plans in diverse discutii ca au probleme cu rugina chiar si dupa numai 3-4 ani vechime. Din acest motiv am o retinere in privinta achizitionarii vreunui automobil marca Dacia. Mi-ar fi placut sa vad in documentar pe la minutul 15:45 ca, macar modele MCV Stepway si Duster, trec si printr-o baie de zinc, care le-ar mari durata de viata. Altfel sunt mai degraba atras de Kia Sportage care ofera garantie dubla la vopsea si tabla. De fapt ei ofera garantie totala 7 ani, ceea ce din punctul meu de vedere ar trebui sa va puna pe ganduri si sa faceti ceva in acest sens. Intr-o lume a consumerismului fiabilitatea va fi cu atat mai mult apreciata. Spor!

Interesting, but you need to tell us what is being shown. The front grille resembles an 09 Subaru Forester. I see a lot of manual assembly, where other car manufacturers have robots do most of the assembly.

Alter Oldesloer Unsinn, Dacia hat nicht mehr Probleme als andere Mitbewerber. Fahre seit 2007 Dacia, zwei Fahrzeuge, absolut keine Probleme. Auf den Straßen fahren immer mehr Dacias, ein günstiges einfaches solides Auto mit dem dazugehörigen Selbstbewusstsein.
... das freut mich, ein Kollege von mir fuhr einen w124 und trauerte dem alten Daimler später immer hinterher und hatte mit seinem Dacia einige Probleme, aber das ist schon einige Jahre her; es ist richtig, dass auch andere Marken ihre Probleme haben - ich hatte einen 124er mit späten Rostproblemen nach ca. 17 Jahren und einen w203 mit Rost- und diversen Elektronikprobemen und jetzt einen s204 ohne jegliche Probleme ... aber wer weiß was noch kommt?
Woraus ist der motorblock? Stahl oder metal Gemisch Magnesium ist es jedenfalls nicht denn dann würde die Halle nicht mehr stehen da flüssiges Magnesium Mist Sauerstoff reagiert und explodieren kann. Dacia an sich ist ein zuverlässiges Auto. Hier und da ist voll was aber es fährt sich gut.

Masini bune, te duce din punctu A in B , dar am asistat la discutie in care un inginer de calitate din Dacia povestea despre probleme cu rugina, si ca erau unele modele de duster in 3 ani aparea rugina pe ele, singurul lucru care ma tine sa cumpar o dacie noua, mai ales second!
Alex Avramescu poți liniștit să cumperi mașina. Are garanție suficientă și sunt sigur că dacă ai câteva plastice pentru protecție la apa cu sare și pietriș pe dedesubturile mașinii vei fi mulțumit. Deasemenea, dacă iarna nu o lași cu gheața pe praguri și ai garaj sau măcar un adăpost vei fi protejat. Totul este despre chimie. Nu știu ce explicație are "injinerul" pentru rugina apărută la unele mașini dar eu știu că rugina apare acolo unde metalul nu este protejat suficient sau acolo unde metalul este prea mult expus la factorii de oxidare. Nu este din aluminiu caroseria Dacia pentru că ar costa prea mult dar sigur nu va rugini prea devreme dacă este protejată și curățată.
Un Duster model nou cu 1.5 dci și cutia EDC este tot ce vrei de la un automobil. Va costa in jur de 15 000 dacă negociezi bine și nu are ce să fie rău. Consum mic, motor fiabil, interior decent și toate dotările normale. Iar dacă apar probleme în garanție ești aproape de sursă. Ca să liniștim comentariile despre mașinile SH care sunt foarte bune în comparație cu Dacia nouă pot aminti aici că un prieten a avut nevoie de motor nou la un Volvo S90 din 2016 diesel, 180cp, deși nici 100 000 de km nu au fost parcurși. Tot în primii doi ani a crăpat și butonul de Start-Stop. Acel Volvo costa 78 000 ...
I just wish Renault would change the awful MediaNav which doesn't support Apple Carplay nor Android Auto. And this stock ICE comes bundled with the top end Renault (Dacia) Duster which costs $23,272 in India. For that price, you can get the Hyundai Creta in India which comes loaded with more safety features like six airbags (Renault Duster gets only two airbags in the top trim), ABS+EBD (Renault only provides this with the top end Duster), etc. And also more creature comforts, for the same price, electrically adjustable seats, sunroof, better ICE with support for Android Auto, Apple Carplay and MirrorLink, better NVH and refined engine. Renaults K9 engine has a very harsh note and vibrations creep in easily into the cabin which might be acceptable if it was a $5,000 or $10,000 car but a car costing $25,000+ (after taxes and registration) being so unrefined and ill equipped puts most people off.
Having worked in the automotive industry I can say that the work is life sucking. Repetitive labour in a regime that is close to modern slavery. OK some will say that it is a job, but it's not any kind of life.
Accuracy. You even can't ensure crash safety when spot welds are not in exact place. There are many more tasks where workers hands are utilized much better. 14:42 is really sad moment.... Check 14:51 - worker is moving his face away, because of flying sparks.
a robot is cheaper, so the end product (the car) is cheaper benefiting all families buying the product (many more families than the workers' families). And the workers could use their strength and skills for other, maybe more creative activities. It's the way it's always been: automation helped increase the productivity which helps increase the wealth of (most of) the people.
I don't know if that's true, but I don't care so much about the gap as long as the majority of people are doing much better than before. And the wealth of the majority of people has increased a lot in the past century in the countries most automated. And also the unemployment is lower!!! It's better to have a wider gap between the very rich and the rich and normal than to have equality in poverty.
good car but week turbo and poor paint job and week kardan cross its loud on highway and in winter you can freeze if you dont warm it up like 20 mins before drive....
Do not forget about poor handling and that the back comes as shot from a cannon when you brake hard. Then we have the GPS where the screen is so far down that it will be a traffic hazard. List goes on and on.. :) But still a good car for the money, strangely enough. :D
You are wrong! It's a regular basis car with modern reliable engine and transmission. If you wanna buy a luxury sedan or a sport car you should look over another brand. Also you should think about 5 times more money to spend. I've driven alot of miles with different types of Dacia and no real problem occurred. Also you should not forget that hundreds of thousands are sold in western Europe and the average impression is good. New entry in Sandero, Logan and Duster are way better in ergonomics and infotainment. Those are good cheap cars.
Poor handling? What about handling of a 2005 Merc A klasse? Released about the same time but better handling in Dacia. What about VW Golf or Polo handling? In 2005 the entry level(cheap) Golf or Polo was poor motorised and they are poor in handling too. Dacia is a cheap car. Not sporty, not powerful, not luxury. It's cost from 8000 till 18000 as a new.
Wrong in what respect? Yes, it's a cheap everyday car. But that does not mean that the poor driving characteristics disappear? In Sweden, it´s most pensioners that are buying these and they do not drive so aggressively, which fits the car better. As soon as you pass 90km / h you have to be on top, what's going on around you. If you make an evasive maneuver, it's basically over for you. ;) Have a Duster my self.
Wrong about warming up 20 min. You should upgrade your Duster with some aftermarket suspension for better handling on the road. Dacia is not Merc, Bmw or Audi

Autos sind einfach Gebrauchs Gegenstände und Fehler können immer passieren, das Problem liegt nur an der sehr kostenorientierten Herstellung

Probleme cu rugina au fost la prima generatie de Duster cu volan pe partea dreapta. Erau facute in India.

Having worked in the automotive industry I can say that the work is life sucking. Repetitive labour in a regime that is close to modern slavery. OK some will say that it is a job, but it's not any kind of life.
If only they would stop making plastic interiors since the 90's....
Nothing really wrong about dacia, its just that the cars are so basic and boring. Quality is probably pretty good for the price.

Accuracy. You even can't ensure crash safety when spot welds are not in exact place. There are many more tasks where workers hands are utilized much better. 14:42 is really sad moment.... Check 14:51 - worker is moving his face away, because of flying sparks.
a robot is cheaper, so the end product (the car) is cheaper benefiting all families buying the product (many more families than the workers' families). And the workers could use their strength and skills for other, maybe more creative activities. It's the way it's always been: automation helped increase the productivity which helps increase the wealth of (most of) the people.

I don't know if that's true, but I don't care so much about the gap as long as the majority of people are doing much better than before. And the wealth of the majority of people has increased a lot in the past century in the countries most automated. And also the unemployment is lower!!!
It's better to have a wider gap between the very rich and the rich and normal than to have equality in poverty.

good car but week turbo and poor paint job and week kardan cross its loud on highway and in winter you can freeze if you dont warm it up like 20 mins before drive....
Do not forget about poor handling and that the back comes as shot from a cannon when you brake hard. Then we have the GPS where the screen is so far down that it will be a traffic hazard. List goes on and on.. :) But still a good car for the money, strangely enough. :D
You are wrong! It's a regular basis car with modern reliable engine and transmission. If you wanna buy a luxury sedan or a sport car you should look over another brand. Also you should think about 5 times more money to spend. I've driven alot of miles with different types of Dacia and no real problem occurred. Also you should not forget that hundreds of thousands are sold in western Europe and the average impression is good. New entry in Sandero, Logan and Duster are way better in ergonomics and infotainment. Those are good cheap cars.
Poor handling? What about handling of a 2005 Merc A klasse? Released about the same time but better handling in Dacia. What about VW Golf or Polo handling? In 2005 the entry level(cheap) Golf or Polo was poor motorised and they are poor in handling too. Dacia is a cheap car. Not sporty, not powerful, not luxury. It's cost from 8000 till 18000 as a new.
Wrong in what respect? Yes, it's a cheap everyday car. But that does not mean that the poor driving characteristics disappear? In Sweden, it´s most pensioners that are buying these and they do not drive so aggressively, which fits the car better. As soon as you pass 90km / h you have to be on top, what's going on around you. If you make an evasive maneuver, it's basically over for you. ;) Have a Duster my self.
Wrong about warming up 20 min. You should upgrade your Duster with some aftermarket suspension for better handling on the road. Dacia is not Merc, Bmw or Audi
