There’s a lot of criticism on here about the quality of these vehicles and engines,ordinary people cannot afford tens of thousands of pounds to purchase a better class of vehicle and are quite happy to have a cheap reliable mode of transportation. I have had many types of vehicles over the years but one of the best I have owned was a Renault Clio 1-9D which I bought new. I had it about 3years and sold it to a workmate who did over 120,000 miles in it and then give it to his daughter who had it for years. It doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton of money to get a decent vehicle.
I have a Dacia Duster Diesel "Comfort" 2016 :-) would I buy anything
else - NOPE - The Dacia Duster Diesel is just perfect. NO frills, basic
technology, very reliable, very light on fuel, comfortable, very
powerful for such a small capacity engine. All electric windows, air
conditioning, Bluetooth technology, 6 speed gearbox, Dacia for me is
perfect.
It goes back to childhood, where your parents told you "you get what you pay for". Clearly that's a huge lie, when the sandero is much better than the price tag.
Badge snobs can laugh at Dacia, but we can laugh at them for wasting their money.
How very true.
I covered over 30k km on my Dacia with LPG since January 2020 and had no trouble whatsoever. I was really worried about driving it for so long, especially on the Autobahn with high speeds with the 3-cylinder engine but it runs really fine. Nothing fall apart or is more different quality-wise than a cheap Volkswagen up. And tbh, a daily has to be cheap if it does many kilometres per year. And yes, the comfort and steering aren't really outstanding but the car does it's job, even more for what you except for the price.
I don't wanna spend the same money on a used BMW/Mercedes/Audi/VW because even if they give you more power, luxury and so on, they also give you trouble with expensive parts just because they got so overengineered.
I had a Twingo diesel. Sold it at 470'000km (yep, three zeroes). The new owner is happy! Now I have a Dacia with the same engine.
Finally engine assembly that includes the ingots!!

Briliant! BTW, this is one of the most reliable modern engines. Hundreds of thousands of taxis use it without any problem whatsoever for hundreds of thousands of kilometers in Romania
Oh really?! Do you have any evidence to prove that? From spoken word alone, I know that what you're referring to is the MPI engines that are no longer in production and this video is about the new 3 cylinder engines which are in production starting 2013. That's just 6 years of production and use. The MPI's had at least 13. Please don't spread misinformation.

Renault Clio4, Dacia..... Ce bloc a était et reste un excellent moteur et cela partout dans le monde.
Ça conception et sa fiche technique mérite vraiment que l'on si intéresse car 90cv avec 0.9l c'est complètement dingue de plus que ses performance sont très bonne.

What's the difference between a Renault/Dacia/Nissan and Mercedes engine? For some engines just the price. I love people paying triple price for having a printed star onto a Renault/Dacia/Nissan engine. Renault/Dacia/Nissan engines are great.

@@vasile3311 First generation in the very long run corrosion can occur. For the second generation hdg steel was used. No mecanical corrosion anymore. Let's go for 1000000 km. Engineers love Dacia.
I think you known Mercedes Benz use some Renault DCi engines (and Renault some Mercedes engines like the new TCE1.3L who is much better as the old TCE1.2L): Renault,Dacia and Smart (Mercedes Benz) use exactly the same TCE90 engines (exept the Brabus Smart who is a improved engine), and DCi (diesel), but the DCi engines for Mercedes Benz class A B and C and Citan (Kangoo by MB) have some improvements like a belt drive who last longer (240 000km), and some other small details, but basicaly are the engines the same...MB did choice the DCi engine because they prove they are a bit better as the same power MB engines for less money: make small low cost engines need a long experience , and MB as much more experience with expansive engines...

ресурс как я понимаю 50-150 ткм в зависимости от наездника. Жидкие алюминиевые блоки уже достали, все мучаются. Они не любят перегрев, высокую нагрузку и частые прогревы а в холодных климатах это неизбежно. Ресурс смехотворный.

These engines are manufactured on mass, and you will find the the machine tolerance and consistency is far higher than that of a hand made engine in some supercars. Where hands make errors and computers don't. I not saying every engine is perfect but the chances of getting a faulty one are very low

Nice video on how crap 3 in line tce are made. Renault at least try and learning from the best how to make a 3 in line that actually has economy and performance Ford. Even vw group is working on a deal to use the ecoboost 3 in line in their tsi brand. Since tsi = problems and expensive maintenance.
