Glad I'm not the only adult who does this stuff! These videos are very helpful guys. Also, I love the scuba outfit and Marine Jungle Fighter uniform I just got from Cotswold Collectibles; my joes look great in them with all their original accessories.

I wash Joe clothes in a Masson jar with a drop of Dawn in cold water and a few airsoft BB's shake it and watch the years of backyard adventures just float away. Rinse in a small strainer, My wife gave me two cookie cooling racks to air dry outfits.

Great information on how to restore and what not to do when working on original GI Joes! Thank you for the advice on the acrylic paint to use for the hair repair of brown-haired GI Joe. Any advice on the best colors for restoring the blond or red head-painted Joe? Thanks

Mini iron? I didn't know that was what it was used for. Thanks! I've used electric heating pads for injuries. Wrap the pad around the Joe and it got rid of the wrinkles. Great video!

A couple questions. How long do you leave the white clothes in the polident? Also, with the small iron, do you still put a washcloth over the clothes or do you go directly with it since the heat isn't as intense?

Hi guys really great video I have a theory about the raccoon eyes when action and gi joe were filmed in the 1960’s they were in black and white so these figures for filming had the eyes accentuated for film so they could been seen properly early action adverts even had painted looks left or right so I think that’s the answer to the raccoon eyes have a look and see for your selves

During all the time I've been collecting, I have come to the conclusion that the scar on Joe's cheek tends to match the lip color. Not always, but most of the time that seems to be the case, so one less color to match.

Edit: The Marine camouflage uniform is a good source of bits and pieces you can use to make new pockets, and if you have one where the sleeves are torn concentrate in the back of the shirt - if it is intact with no holes or tears, it can be used to make a cloth helmet cover to match Joe's uniform. I've made a few from otherwise unusable uniforms, and they are a nice change of pace. from the standard painted camo on the steel pot.
