      Demarco Murray high school highlights were insane. He had in 2005 senior 2000 yds rushing and 700 yds receiving in 1yr and 34 touchdowns. All in one season. 😂. Demarco was a beast b4 he had his knees realigned and became a north and south runner. He was shifty. But his SR year he shared the backfield with another 1000yd back in a 3 man rotation with Chris brown and Moises madu yet Murray still rushed for 1300 yds had 400 yd in receiving and 20 tds… he he doesn’t get hurt on the opening kickoff against mizzou in the big 12 championship they destroy Florida imo… Oklahoma dominated the first half yet couldn’t get 2 touchdowns when having a 1st and goal from the 1yd line chris brown was stopped 4 straight times and Bradford threw an int the next time down on 3rd down. Demarco Murray is one of the greatest backs people always seem to forget about. Imo.

    Respect for the vid man! Loved it. One thing though... during the Chip Era at Oregon I would definitely not consider them an "air raid" offense. They ran like crazy actually. Lamichael James, Kenyon Barner, Royce Freeman and others were used just as much as passing. Also, all the QB's during that Era were fast and athletic and also ran a lot. Just wanted to put that out there 👍

    Its crazy how the chiefs were looking for this type of player for so long. It began with Dexter McCluster, didn't work out, then DAT, didn't work out, and finally Tyreek Hill became the guy. He played in a wide open offense, on a team based around speed and in a conference that didn't have great defenses. He showed out as a result but he was small, not a great route runner or 50/50 ball guy. He wasn't going to run through tackles, etc... Basically, he was skilled but he had little outside his speed and quickness. People throw him in there with being as fast as Ty Hill but Hill is also like 20 pounds heavier and has a better overall skill set, he's also like 3 inches taller than Thomas which helps with jump balls. I don't even have to watch this, everyone knows it's hard af to make it in the NFL if you're only 5'7 and 170 pounds or so. It can work but you need to be able to do something other than outrun people. Make difficult catches, run great routes and get open, etc...

    DAT wasn't a receiver. On Oregon's depth chart he was listed as OW for offensive weapon. He actually came out of the backfield on more than 50 percent of his catches. I think that really hurt him at the nfl level. He never learned how to properly run routes. And there is no such thing as a 165 pound running back at the nfl level.

    • @Ace-Ace1
      @Ace-Ace1 2 роки тому

      @Ace-Ace1 2 роки тому +1

      @@jbwanthony3177 DAT came into the league 7 years before Devonte did and then everyone remembered, talent means nothing when you don't have beef to withstand punishment in the NFL, as it is different from college. Examples like DAT is probably why Devonte was judge harshly over size. D was 6' 170lbs vs DAT who was 5'9" 165lbs. The shorter guy was better compacted but one played in the wrong position.

    He was in a multi concept offense... RPO's... IN that kind of offense, which was pioneered by Oregon the spread offense... you can't scheme for one player... you never know who's getting the ball... DeAnthony wasn't the go to like in tradition offenses... The entire Oregon Offense scheme was ahead of it's time... So it's hard to make an argument over his stats... Once Defense started keying on him, they used him as decoy and gave it to other players... FACTS... CHIP KELLY WAS A GENIUS... and no one could stop his offenses but DeAnthony was a victim of this offense... So.. not a solid argument on his STATS...

    • @jimmiehissong

      To add one more thought… look at all the playmakers from the Chip Kelly’ Oregon ducks…. Name one player still in the NlFL or doing good in the NFL? Mariota? Naw… been a back up for several years now.. name one? All those players were victims of the Chip Kelly Offense a scheme… it was Brilliant because it spread out defenses and forced them to make tacked in space which no one can stop DeAnthony in space… but it was a curse at the same time. As far as NFL… i mean.. many great players style won’t translates to the Pro level… 🤷🏽‍♂️ …

    I'm a ducks fan and I'm just gonna be honest he wasn't that fast he ran an offical 4.5 40 some say 4.38 but that's unofficial but I tend to believe that one more, where he shined at Oregon was his agility making defenders looks silly with his quick responses and vision, he is nowhere near as fast as tyreek

      Flemlo did that years ago just FYI . I agree though, I’d love to hear a second opinion. He was my favorite player when I was like 10. I thought for sure he’d be great in the league.
