what is the machine you used to cut the leather and how much do they cost, would save me a lot of time hand cutting and and punching or drilling the holes.

Hi! The machine used is a 150w CO2 laser cutter. For a higher wattage like mine, they can range from $6000-10000. You definitely don’t need that much power to cut leather. You can look around for a 40w CO2 laser (which is powerful enough to engrave, cut leather) and they are a lot cheaper. Make sure you look for a CO2 laser and not a diode laser. While some diode lasers could cut leather they are not powerful enough like co2 lasers and they usually don’t come in enclosures (not fully closed and don’t have air suction, or air assist). Having a laser really does save a lot of time and makes leathercraft so much more easier. I hope this helps and hope you can find yourself a laser! If you have any more questions let me know

Do you skive the edges of the T slots?

Yes you could to make it less bulky. But if you’re using thin leather from the start you don’t have to. Thanks
