    For those of us happy with the 9mm ppc we already have, let me know when the right side charging 45acp is ready so I can find finances (and / or therapist)!

      Side charging handle, ar-18 style recoil spring and a pic rail rear endplate for dealers choice of stock/brace/sling loop and yeah.. ill take 3, caliber change not required.
      And i'll work for peanuts if you need more MEs to make that happen.

    Can you make a cleaning guide video how to properly maintain a JP-5 with its roller delayed system.
    When doing a deep/detailed cleaning, which parts/pins to disassemble to really get rid of those hard to reach dirt and which parts are to be left alone/should not be disassemble to preserve the reliability of the gun. Or Which parts to lube, which part are NOT supposed to be lubed.
    Also, i hope you could make a video on how to do a basic tuning of the lock pieces for different usually used range loads and/or with suppressor to cut the trial and error time for the user. it will form as somewhat the basic recommended/suggested tuning guide or something. Then as the user becomes more familiar with the system, he/she/they can just tune it further later on.
    This will be very helpful especially for newbie owners

    • @JPRifles
      @JPRifles  2 роки тому +3

      Way ahead of you. All the cleaning is covered in the manual, and we'll be doing a video version of that like we did for the GMR-15.
      We'll also be doing a dedicated tuning video right along the lines of what you're describing.

    • @arjaytalosig

      @@JPRifles looking forward to all of those videos (cleaning and tuning) specifically for JP-5. I prefer watching the experts do it and ill follow how they do it, than reading and then guessing "am i doing this right?" most of the way while doing it. hence the original comment above.
      Maybe just in time before my JP-5 order comes in (coz im from the other side of the world from you, so yah 🙂).
      Thanks for the positive response. All the best, JP Enterprises! ✌️🙂 🇵🇭

    Very happy to have purchased this firearm. I wanted the MP5 (who doesn’t?) but given full auto is out of my price range, I decided to give made in America a try. Had lots of fun zeroing the JP5 at 100 yards from the bench. Now it’s a tack driver at 50. Suppressed with subsonic loads at 1000 fps its so gentle like shooting bbs.

    • @eddyrocksu
      @eddyrocksu 7 місяців тому

      What barrel length and ammo did you manage to run it suppressed? I hear longer barrels are difficult to keep subsonic

  • @shelbyneely1572
    @shelbyneely1572 8 місяців тому +1

    The rollers are pushed out into the trunnion by the locking piece, as the gun fires the bolt carrier moves rearward pulling the locking piece off the rollers and they retract.......pretty simple.

    My GMR-12 is still chugging along. The only issue I have had was a broken fireing pin. JP sent me a new one no charge and it was the new design. I have no reason to buy a new one unless it was a short barrel rifle. I could use a short roller delayed 9mm…..

    • @JPRifles
      @JPRifles  2 роки тому

      One of the rare GMR-12s. We didn't do too many of those. You'll find the JP-5 a pretty big change.

    • @justsomerandomguyman
      @justsomerandomguyman 2 роки тому

      Yup, a side charge option is the thing I want most and what's preventing me from ordering.... and, ideally, it would be a side charging only option, not one of those dual charge systems that have both a side-charger and rear-charger, since maintaining the traditional T rear charging handle makes the gun worse for other things (like shooting suppressed).
      Additionally, it would have been cool to see a buffer-tube-less design with a proprietary buffer within the upper receiver, but with how they designed the BCG, they might need the extra travel the buffer tube provides.

    • @privatezim3637
      @privatezim3637 2 роки тому

      @@justsomerandomguyman They likely don't. If you look at the length of the gutted section of the carrier it is really close to the length of the stroke on the SCS. The issue would prolly be fitting it without making the upper receiver taller and giving up ar-15 rail compatibility.

  • @SteveMiles

    I get it, 9mm is the current popular PCC caliber but if there was ever a modern pistol caliber begging for use in the carbine platform...
    How about something like this in 10mm? Since you're re-designing the lower anyway, how about re-dimensioning the mag well to fit popular 10mm auto mags?

    • @JPRifles
      @JPRifles  2 роки тому +2

      I, and several other staff members, are trying to convince John Paul to make a 10mm JP-5 (JP-10?) option a reality. We'll keep working at it!

    • @RSpracticalshooting
      @RSpracticalshooting Рік тому +2

      Just curious, but what use case do you need a 10mm for? I keep seeing people asking for 10mm everything but none of them are doing anything but shooting paper. Why do you want a more expensive round for target shooting? Because you're likely not using your PCC for self defense and you're not hunting with 10mm so why do you want it? Genuine question.

    So speaking of the JP-5 already winning a PCC National Championship.... Max had a wicked 7s malfunction with the gun on Stage 5 that I witnessed... any idea what happened there?

    • @JPRifles
      @JPRifles  2 роки тому +4

      Yes. The malfunctions he had were ones we'd seen happen prior and addressed for the production run. Seems like those things never manage to come up in practice and wait for the big match. That's the risk, though. His JP-5 and all the ones out there right now are prototypes, and the whole point was to get them in the hands of people who could help us find the flaws so we could fix them for the production run. He's still planning to run the JP-5 again this year.

    • @justsomerandomguyman
      @justsomerandomguyman 2 роки тому +4

      It's also worth noting that Max has won countless other PCC championships with frankenstein blowback PCC builds. So, not to take anything away from the JP-5, but it's more of an already-top-shooter winning with one than the JP5 pushing a lower performing shooter over the edge to take a championship for the first time.
