@@adellepearl3447 it's an awesome middle grade fantasy series about a girl who discovers she's an elf. She moves to the elf world and throughout the series battles evil and such with the help of her friends. I think in the first book she's 12 but we get to watch her grow up. I would HIGHLY recommend it.
@@sophiewonders Is it similar to Harry Potter? I'm on the 3rd book of the series and really enjoying it. Wondering what middle grade series to pick up next, after HP.
@@LittleMew133if you're enjoying HP, you should definitely pick it up next! It has great characters, lots of magical creatures of its own, and special abilities. Although the books are long, they're extremely fast paced and I always fly through them.
AHHHHHHHH so many great reads here! I read Mistborn, Tower of Nero, Song of Wraith and Ruin, Night Circus, and Wundersmith this year and gave them all 5 stars!!!!
The best fantasy book I read this year is An Ember In The Ashes, it was very BRUTAL but I really enjoyed reading about the empire and I really enjoyed Elias's and Laia's interactions.
I haven’t read much fantasy this year due to a reading slump sadly. I’m hoping to pick one up in January. Off topic but you’re dog in the background is adorable ❤️
The "From Blood and Ash" series is by FAR my favorite fantasy series of the year. Highly recommend reading it if you haven't yet! The second book in the series is my favorite but the first is just as amazing.
I loved legendborn so much! Currently reading mistborn. And about a song of wraiths and ruin.. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would but I agree about the characters! They are wholesome.
I am SO LATE but I also read the whole Scythe series this year and it blew my mind! While I was Christmas shopping, I joked to my boyfriend that I would know what to get everyone if we already had the Thunderhead haha. My favorite fantasy of the year would have to be House of Earth and Blood, SJM did it again and made me feel all the feels
Legendborn sounds like EVERYTHING I have been wanting to see more in YA fantasy!!! I am soooooo looking forward to getting that one!!! Mistborn is soooo incredible!!!!
Oh man, I feel you on Graceling - it felt like it was never going to end, but ended up being awesome! Can't wait for you to read the rest of the books. I'm so excited for Winterkeep to come out in a few weeks!! Also, you're so right - Addie LaRue is a historical urban/low fantasy. 😂🤷♀️
I’m adding all of these books to my reading list, thanks for sharing! 💫 Keep rising to be who you want to be! 💫 #keeprising #risingtobe #aswerise #riser
keeper of the lost cities by shannon messenger is a great fantasy series, along with city of ghosts by victoria schwab and nevermoor by jessica townsend
I also started reading mistborn this year and o don't know why I waited so long reading Brandon Sanderson Best fantasy I read next to mistborn: - First law trilogy - Guns of the dawn
So many things!!! Okay first, if you loved B. Sanderson I'd definitely recommend his YA series called The Reckoners trilogy. You'll be in for a wild ride. Also it's so weird because I loved The Night Circus but when I went to read The Starless Sea, I could not understand it at all!
Oooo I actually have books 2 & 3 of Reckoners (not sure why I don’t have book 1 LOL) so I’m excited to get to them now!! And I’ve heard things like that about TSS so I’m eager to see what I think compared to TNC! Thaaaanks friend! 🥰🥰
Favorite fantasy books that I read this year: The way of kings by Brandon Sanderson and Starless sea by Erin Morgenstern
I see the notification, I click on it and have a good time in your company where you talk about books. LOVE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS!
