I think the 10th generation just needed the new rear light design. 10th generation looks way more aggressive and appealing IMHO.
Just imagine the new back in the 10th front. I just think the tail should be bigger that’s it
Malaysians called it the "stapler" Honda because of the rear light
One could say the designer killed it…..killed their chance of me buying this new look
Yup 💯
I've been waiting for this version after the last change.. had so much hope, only to be let down.
100 %. 10th is more interesting, as for me. I have it (hybrid).
What is a let down in the 11th in your opinion? To me the 11th looks fresh, but then it's subjective again.
@@s.d.3656 As you said, it's subjective. However I do think the 10th generation has a LOT more character than the 11th, especially in the exterior. The angle and design of the chrome in the quarter window, the wheel design, and the front grille are a few examples. It's a very appealing, and very recognizable look. The 10th generation drive trains also are more appealing to many of us
We just bought a 23" Sport. My daughter has a 2018 EX. It's shows how good the design for the 10th gen was side by side. The fact that the older model still looks modern and relevant is a testament how good that design is.
10th driver here 2.0t power ⚡️ 🚙 baby!! Looks sharper and more futuristic too 😎
I test drove both! I most def luv my 22 accord sport over the 23 accord!
I have the 22 sport I agree. This new one looks old ladyish 😂
Its seems that 2023 is smaller than 2022 , in term of internal spaces ? Im i right ?
I prefer the new Accord both from interior and exterior, it has a futuristic look and mor elegant.
I have a 2019 accord sport Love the design and always wanted it when I first saw it but as for this new one Look like this 2023 model was supposed to come out in 2007 and they forgot to Launch it😂
Yeah the 10th generation is looks way better. I do like the headlights of the 11th but that all I like. I love my 2019 Honda Accord
Honda is blending into other car makers now in terms of design , seems to me they are no longer applying their sports and edge philosophy on some of their models specifically Accord, because previous generation looks much sportier from outside and classy from inside.
Accord was meant to be sporty??
@@danielmartins9901 Accords have always had curb appeal even if they didn't have a V8 or V12. But this new generation makes you want to park near a curb and abandoned it.
@@danielmartins9901 oh God forbid an Accord would look sporty in the slightest sense. Get a grip for fuck's sake.
@@DM-id3yw do you really mean "curb appea"? Cause curb appeal doesn't equate to sporty. A Bentley has curb appeal but I wouldn't say it looks sporty
@@chief8079 I can't tell what side you're on or what side you think I'm on
Honda got this completely wrong! Only the tail lights on the 21 needed to go
I have a 2021 Sport and I love it. In my opinion the 2023 is not appealing at all and it did not meet my expectations.
I want a 2022 accord touring 2.0 in silver/black or sonic grey
It’s a sport trim with sexy wheels, face lifted, and more interesting color 2022 vs. a boring EX with ugly wheels, no face lift, and the worst color for this new 2023. Hardly a fair comparison.
Don’t believe me? Bring in a white 2018 Accord EX and compare it to a new 2023 in Sport trim and blue paint color. The new one will look better. Heck, even compare a 2018 white EX to a 2022 Sport trim… it’s a night and day difference.
In a strange was I kind of dig the 11th gen if the had just given it some personality beyond trying to be Tesla I would have been a home run.
10th and 9th gen are peak Accords
10 gen looks 100 times better, i think 11 gen is goin to be a fail for honda
I own several 2017 EX-L V6 Accords. Amazing car. Plenty of power and great quality/reliability/dependability. It was the last year that they made the V6 engine available on a Honda Accord. Now if I want to replace any of them, I need to spend $10k+ more to buy an Acura TLX.....I like the new 2023 Accord but won't consider buying another Honda Accord since they went away from both the V6 Engine and now the Turbo charged engine that exists in the last few years Honda Accords.
Holder version looks better in my opinum plus the engine of last generation had a choice of horsepower. I was an owner of the last generation.
Older
The 10th generation looks way better than the 11th generation. I've seen the look of envy in the faces of 11 generation drivers when they see my 10 th generation touring. I've got fog lights; they don't.
10h gen 2.0 touring for the win they can keep the 23
i think if they keep 2.0t people who build up the like for the design but hard when both aren’t up to par why got 23 civic instead knowing i would keep up with new accord and people don’t like design of that either but it’s better then 21 sport civic to me
The new gen Accord looks a lot bigger than the old one
The new model looks more like the Ford Taurus
10th Gen accord and 8th Gen Camry were 🔥 … 11th Gen accord and 9th Gen Camrys 😢 not so much
Also, can somebody please bring back the regular gauges? Enough of stupid screens.
I'love G10❤❤🤤🤤💯💯💪💪
The Accord looks just like CR-V.
Terrible...so glad I got a v6 touring before it was phased out. 11th Gen is a big miss for Honda imo.
Excellent job on the new and old version love that you are doing for sharing this information appreciate you and your Channel and content blessed to have you today
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
The previos version is much much beautiful than new version. I hated the new one
Every car redesign has to go through a few ugly phases and the 11gen is deff the ugly phase. Idk why they downgraded the interior to match the new civic and why they made the exterior look like an audi r7/ toyota mirai. This aint it..
At this point I feel like Honda wants to discontinue the accord, they stopped caring
It’s all about the Civics and their SUV’s
The 10th Gen just looks so much better
I have 10th hybrid.
Definitely agree
Waaaaaaaaay better bro
@@michaelwinter6805 me too!! love it, not upgrading to this new gen, will likely go camry hybrid
@@michaelwinter6805 same hybrid sport with that same sonic color and i fucking love it got so much compliments when i first got it too was surprised cuz it was just a honda but honda really did there thing with 10th gen especially when u get the buttons instead of the stick makes it feel way more luxurious
Holding on to my new 2022 Accord Touring 2.0! Not sure what exactly Honda was thinking with the 2023 design
Same here.
right! looks cheap compared to the 22 and 21
Let me have it scallywag
It look like 💩
They know exactly what they're doing. It's consumer marketing psychology. The 12th gen will look much better to keep people wanting to buy them.
Few things I have to say, whoever has the 10th generation (2018 - 2022) model, your car is golden and you should not attempt an upgrade - or should I say a downgrade to this car.
I have owned the 2013, 2015 and the 2018 Honda Accords and was patiently waiting to for this new chassis release so I could purchase that one as well. I wasn't even thinking of how it would look, I assumed it would have looked better than the previous model or at lease be on a similar level. I definitely did not expect this piece of garbage, this is the worst looking car in this class I have seen for 2023.
Thank you Honda for consistently ruining your car designs, now that I am fully done with the Accord, thanks to this design, I will now reluctantly switch to the 2022 BMW 4 series.
The 2023 Honda Accord looks like a incomplete concept car! Damn it's ugly and lacks character!
Really sad that they messed up such a beautiful design. If it ain't broke don't fix it!! So glad I bought the 2022 sport model before this monstrosity came out.
The 10th Gen is better, hands down! The new design is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GENERIC!
A lot of hate in the comments of the 11th gen Accord, and I understand the hate, trust me, when i first seen them starting to drive around on the streets (which was the first time i even seen one, it caught me off guard lol) I was like “wtf did they just do?” However, that being said, my 10th generation pick was a hybrid, so I bought one, EX-L, and really enjoyed it, so with this 11th gen, they really went all in with the hybrid, and as much as I loved my 2021 hybrid ex-l, looks aside, I heard the 2023 hybrid accord is even better in terms of performance, so I test drove one and boy were they telling the truth! The interior of the one in this video has the tiny screen, because it’s not the hybrid, all the hybrid’s have a huge 12.3 inch touchscreen and it has so many features including Wireless carplay and alexa, and honestly , the more i see them driving around, the look is even starting to grow on me, I really loved the way the 2023 accord hybrid drove more than my 2021 accord hybrid, so much so that I JUST PURCHASED A 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport and it will be delivered tomorrow. Wish me luck everyone. I wish everyone happiness in whatever vehicle decision you make!
There's no comparison to 10th gen is extremely more upscale looking better handling hundred percent faster! The front-end oil take a four-door Chevy Malibu . He'll the CR-V and the Civic SI have a way better front-end than the Accord don't waste your money don't buy
Good comparison Sir,
The 10th generation look better than the 11th generation. The new honda look like a old Volkswagen Passat with LED lights.
No more 2.0T that’s a done deal 😢.
The new honda look cheap and can not stand head to head with the new Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima,
The 10th generation have more design character it just look better.
I was hoping that honda come with a 2.5T for the new generation.
To my opinion it’s a disappointment.
I agree! the 10th gen resembles the S6 while the 11th gen follows the passat.
Prior model is much better looking
I have a 2021 Sport 2.0 and a clear bias for the 2021. Maybe when they refresh the 11 generation model in 2026 it may appeal to me more. I really like the way you did the side by side comparison of the changes between the two models. Bravo!
Thank you!
2021 by far the best Honda in appearance wise tbh I got an Altima but I’ll tell u that 2021 Honda look sweet
I purchased a 2022 Accord Sport 2.0 Sonic Gray on 12/27/22 and I think the 2022 is way better looking than the 2023 and I have the 2.0.
If you are looking for a new Accord, run to the dealership right now and get the old one while they are still in stock. The new one is hideous.
That's your opinion - many people who are looking for a new Accord like the current design.
Can't find a new 2.0t anywhere. I was too late.
@@alzuu1 bro even a blind man could see this car is fucking ugly as a turd
@@angeloangibeau5814 Again, that's your own opinion. I know lots of people that like it. Don't assert your opinion as a fact.
@@alzuu1there’s plenty of people on record saying the new accords are horrible. The only ones who are saying it’s nice are the old people
The 11th gen looks like the rebirth of the Mercury Grand Marquis (front) mixed with the Saab 9-3 (rear). The model would fit perfectly for those smart people who who just turned 80 and looking for a new car that will not break down. In regards to the interior, highly disagree to incorporate the same retro design for all models, should have kept it only for the civic. I have the 10th gen 2022, this one is a masterpiece both exterior/interior. I believe this generation will provide the worst sales for the accord ever.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The new honda accord reminds me of the ford taurus
definitely lost the aggressive look😳 10th gen still the perfect 10!🤔
Very good comparison. You have to say that the 2022 model is starkly better looking than the 2023 update. Additionally, the fact that Honda discontinued the 2.0 Turbo is a bigger turn off. I think Honda missed the step here, I am afraid the new Accord is not going meet sales numbers, my concern is that with where sedans are going, this could be the last lacklustre version of the Accord for the foreseeable future.
I hope there is a spiced up Accord somewhere in the future with a Type R engine and the 10-speed automatic.
I think they are dumbing down the styling on purpose. They want to sell you an Acura for a higher price instead. They dont want to give all the styling and luxury to the Accord
@dreamscape3901 This is why no one will buy one. Nobody paying 50k for a dressed-up Accord. Sad day when this is what the Accord has become. A turd.
Type-R Accord in this market 80k 😂
Honda mentioned they will now shift their focus on performance towards the Civic's and the Acura TLX Type-S model.
Everyone has their opinion, and maybe the ride quality and mileage is better, but damn the new gen accord is ugly compared to the outgoing gen. Lol.
My 21 EXL 1.5T all day over the 23 with any powertrain!
Why the hate for push button shifter? I love mine. It's very precise and convenient
The 22 accord looks better than the new one. I saw the new redesign of the accord in person looks very bland honestly but I like the interior tho 👌
Honda went from competing against Mustangs to blending into the sea of forgettable cars.
I love Honda's ............. I have owned an Accord every year since 1994. Like the 10th gen way better. This 11th gen is boring to me. I have seen a lot of videos on the 11th gen and trying to see if it will grow on me. I just can't get with this one at all no style.
Talk about going backwards 😂😂😂
They screwed up big time! I’m on my 5th and final accord…I got a black 22 touring last year thank god.
We can see the similarities, design wise. It’s definitely a new accord, the shape is almost the same, but they took away all the goodies. The took away the 2.0t, Fog lights, the 2.0t dual exhaust tips, AND the 2.0t, the front grill of the 2023 looks more bland. Just overall a flop.
The front of the 10th gen with the rear of the 11th gen wouldve been a beautiful design. Those tail lights compliment the design of thw 10th gen
Honda knew this shape probably wasn't going to do so well based on the current car prices on the tail of the pandemic. I think they are going to do what they did with 2012 civic, that civic was so bad, but the one that came the following year (2013) was a game changer. I think this Accord is just a placeholder until 2024, obviously they chassis will remain the same, but the changes will be significant.
Just my opinion, this car is too hideous to be profitable, 2024 will be much better - I am hoping.
This is a clean sheet design. Honda is not going to do another one for 2024…. Do you know it’s a 5-6 year life cycle. So this is it for now other than minor exterior changes….
Outside of the infotainment console of the 2023, my 2021 Sport 2.0 for sure is the clear winner here. If there was an upgrade it would probably be to the 2022 Touring 2.0 if anything. The look exterior wise for sure is better with the previous version. They could have at least kept the low profile tires for the 2023. Great work with the comparison, wish they could have given you a 2023 Accord Sport
Definitely is not the hybrid and improved side saftey spanks that tin can
I mean, good comparisson but it would have been better if were Sport vs Sport. The new one looks uglier with those ugly wheels.
I was not expecting Honda to do this. At least the Civic looks good.
Don't compare the civic to accord🤣🤣🤣🤣except the type R😜🤪
New generation civic looks just as bad wdym 😹
@@eirolfvasquez7828 the new civic looks demonstrably better, especially the hatchback.
@@alxbrooks When I first saw the new civic hatchback from behind I thought it was a Kia Stinger
@Sergio A Guerrero i love the new look of the civic, the previous one looks like a teenage car with crab claw tailights
Are you sure that's not a 2023 Kia?
🤣🤣🤣
As ugly as it is…. I’m sure it’s not a Kia
@@adriandoward facts as about to say kia has some of the nicest design in the car industry now. the only thing holding them back is their past reputation. but their still doing better than Honda in terms of design and feature they offer.
Kia dont make ugly cars like that
The 10th generation 2021 look so much better than the 2023. 😏
The 23 vs the 10th gen is like going from Air Jordans to a new balance dad shoe.
Really enjoyed the side by side. The good news if someone wants a 10 gen there are plenty still on car lots.
Honda absolutely ruined the Honda Accord with this lame flat redesign. I guess I’ll keep my 2021 Accord hybrid for long time!
boooooo. great review my brother but I'm still in love with my 2018 accord with the 2.0 turbo 6 SPEED MANUAL
The old one definitely looks better
10th Gen all the way. From an 11th gen Si owner.
21 model is the best model!!!
I like the new Civic, CR-V, and Pilot, but the new Accord looks worse than the old one. What were they thinking!!
2023 looks like honda was on a budget
Honda really went the opposite direction on the 23 Accord. Losing the Sport 2.0 with the 10 speed was a huge mistake IMO. The front and side profile looks like a VW Passat
I was hoping for a 3.0T this generation, instead they took away the 2.0T. I think I’m done with the Accord😭
I would never buy this 11th Generation model. It looks soooo boring and uninspired. Whomever designed this "new" look was trying to sabotage Honda. I own a 2020 Accord Touring, my 3rd Accord, and cannot believe Honda is regressing so much! What happened!?! If I were in the market, I would start looking at Toyota, Kia or Hyundai. Honda has lost a faithful customer.
I have a 2022, hopefully by 2026 they will add more sporty features to it
Even the Toyota Prius looks way better than any Honda models out there right now 😑
Old one looks much better and more expensive.
10th gen style is overall better and its the headlight design that attracts me to it. I own an 11th gen si and im hoping that the aftermarket parts can save the look of these newer cars a little bit.
Edit: I can definitely see a potential "VIP" build in the 11th gen accord though.
The new design is horrible !
Absolutely
@@mauriciowinston5293 it looks way way better in sport or touring trim and not in that boring white. The wheels and boring color bring the looks down substantially.
@@SIIKAP1 yeah, I can see that
Was Honda going for a Kia front end here and body of a Lincoln?
Horrible new design.
Honda should be ashamed of themselves for making this crap of a car. Nice interior though.
The new one looks low rent inside and out , with each generation there is more tech and less features . I love features
The New one looks like a modern day 1994 Nissan Maxima especially by the rear.
I thought I was the only one that noticed that
@@tyreeingram7777 O, wow. You see it too. It is interesting because I saw a Touring trim tonight in white and I must say, it looks nice.
definitely prefer the previous one. no doubt
The 10th gen looks much better in every way.
Always old models look better
21 model looks better all around
In a way, I kind of hope that this car doesn't sell well to give Honda lesson in exterior design. How can it go steps backward compared to last year's generation. Man the 23 looks so boring. My 13 Honda Accord Sport in blue, manual looks way nicer than the 23. And the new one is the size of a large sedan now. This is Toyota's chance to have the Camry take the crown for enthusiasts since they are already dominating in sales.
I love my 2020 Accord better, the 2023 looks too simple, they could've done a better job designing it. I'll stay with my 2020 better.
The new design sucks, guess I'll keep my 2020 Touring 2T
It went from good (2.0t 10AT/6mt model) to shit.
I have 18 don’t like new one like all style been taken out I think look like shit
I own 2020 accord sport and love the body lines better then 2023
I'll gladly keep my 2020 Touring 2.0t!!
Meh. I like 9th gen over both. But there's always a Camry around with a 301hp V6. Cockpit red interior.. oh and something the accord never has offered.. A PANORAMIC SUNROOF .
I like the 11th gen. But it's like Ford and Buick had an affair. And the 10th gen is just unapologetically atrocious from all angles.. we won't go into full detail about that UGLY DUCKLING
Someone waited until the last minute to complete the assignment 🙃 and then misunderstood every direction given regarding the assignment 🤦🏾♂️
My 2020 touring looks much better, in red colo btw
I replaced the taillights and can't believe looks very similar to the 2023, even the line in the trunk, mine has light and looks phenomenal. My touring also is no shift knob wich isn't the grate but makes my car a unique look.
The honey comb line inside could be a nightmare 😂😂😂
what's to like about the "23"? No fog lights, to exhaust tips, no 2.0T, no spare tire, no real transmission, no fun to drive! I wouldn't trade my 2018 EXL, 2.0 for this. I plan on keeping my 10'th. Gen for the rest of my life.
The 2033 seems like a downgrade if you ask me lol
🧔♂️ - Ok, the 10th gen was way too attractive. What can we do to dial that down? I’m talking Volkswagen Passat levels of boring, team.
👨🦰- Let’s start with removing all the body lines. Let’s make this sucker slip through the air like a young Michael Jordan.
🧔♂️- Yes. The bald headed and smooth faced Jordan at that. That’s a good start, but there has to be more that we can do to kill this generation. The Camry is due for a redesign and we need to make sure that it’s a stellar success.
👱🏼♀️- The last one had angles in the head lights, grille, tail lights, and at the rear. It had peoples eyes moving all over the place. Customers would leave our sales floor looking like Marty Feldman. Angles will be so passé in 2023. Going forward, we should ask ourselves what can we do to ensure that this car is the “ecru” of auto design.
👨🦰- Eggshell even.
🧔♂️- I think we’re on to something here. Keep going. I don’t believe we’re there yet.
🧓- For the wheel design I’m thinking we go retro. 1996 accord?
🧔♂️- The LX?
🧓- Please, get out of my head sir.
🧔♂️- Someone… anyone… Bring us home.
🤡- I mean… It seems obvious, but I’m going to throw it out there anyway. We MUST remove the 2.0… They enjoy the hell out of that engine so clearly it’s got to go.
🧔♂️- My God man! I’ve done it! There’s no one that can stop us from cutting our sales in half now! You all know what that means. Pizza party!!!!!
🧓👱🏼♀️👨🦰🤡- YEAAAAHHHHHH!!!
🌎- 🤦♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏿♂️
