I went to lots of festival and club in the last years. Now Im 37 old and suffering tinnitus which destroyed my life: My ears buzzing, humming specially at nights. I can't sleep I tired always, anxious and drive me crazy! I will never feel what is silence until end of my life. This is irrevisible and no doctor all around the world who can help tinnitus generally! So belive me guys: Wear this goddam earplug everytime!

@@Azchk basically yes, but no. You can influence how far and even the sound distributes with clever calculated subwoofer placement and delay settings. I wonder why they didn't set up a cardioid endfire array for such a large stage

More subs means you have eaqully arranged subs with +9dB on the entire lenght, but i think it is actually +12dB in the middle and 2-3 meters side to side. You need to improvise on these festivals. There are actually 3 options what to do 1- you can set up 18 subs with 40Hz LPF with cutout freq. of 80Hz, 4 infrasubs with cutout freq. of 26Hz and 4 subs with 60Hz LPF with cut out freq. of 150Hz. 2- use 4 subs with cut at 150Hz and 18 cut at 80 3- use 21 subs also as infrasubs but for the price of the volume. Why 21? Because if you devide 21 by 3 you get 7 and 7 gives you middle so you have +12dB anywhere. 4- same setup in point 3 but this time with few side subs and vocals for better coverage but those subs are crazy loud even if you are 150m away.... crazy ammount of pressure
Trying out Coda Audio for the first time in a couple of weeks! Really really excited I've heard GREAT things about their line Arrays and sensor Controller subs. Still a big Fan of the KS28 so the bar is high for me 😂
I am not sure you will be as impressed with the coda systems. They sound nice but 3feel" strange when mixing on them, and the one I got to use was a bit underpowered for the application.
@@julesfradet155 Fair point. Had the N-APS and N-Subs in house over the weekend. Mixing is not easy though I do have to say, the N-APS and N-Rays are DANG impressive. If I had to compare them, I'd say the both play in the L'Acoustics Kara (II) range in terms of output and sound quality while being in a Kiva II chassis. N-Sub was surprising as well. In terms of raw output I'd say it was between SB15 and SB18 but more towards SB18. Those things have some serious output for the size! Sure, the low-end didn't blow me away (pun intended) but hey, it's still a tiny 15" sub! However, I have heard as well that their 18" line is not as impressive as other options are. Looks like 15" subs are their game cause I've heard INSANE things about the SC2-F, their double 15" sub that's as small as a single 18" sub. Should I post a short about it just for documentation purposes?

I'm not talking about the PC / Mac Software for setup and control via ethernet! That one's actually pretty good and easy to understand. But damn ... once you've used d&b amps with the touchscreen on the front, everything else seams dumb and old. Including L'Acoustics Amps. 😂😂
For those who say that these subs are sh*t, they can do 143Db spl each, and go down to 25Hz. They are one of the best subs u can find for events like this. Really. The bass is so powerfull it’s amazing, ive experienced them and i can say that Ks28, Sb18, and Rs18 from Nexo are the best ones.
They had to try Lambda Labs. I had the opportunity to compare several manufacturers. So the same location and the same toning engineers who set them. The pressure and the clarity of lambda was most of the time clearly above all others, including L-Acoustics or Funktion-one. You have to hear it for yourself. Especially outdoors.
@@rehtsch you dont get enough spl at the whole venue without a lot of delay lines because you cant cluster that much qx-3 vertically without massive phasing problems. think the only modern horn loaded point source scaleable array is the funktion one evo system. but even there the BIG line arrays have massive benefits. cylindrical wave vs spherical wave. tbh i am also a friend of old school horn loaded systems but at such big venues the big line arrays will be the better and easier decision for dancefloor coverage.

They arrive stacked. They're paired so people don't have to take them apart, and so they can ground stack the front fill speakers on top. They're sideways cause it's easier to get them on and off the wheels.

The Coda stuff is incredible. Never heard such clarity, punch and power from such a small enclosure. For arena level productions its a game changer.
