Today I went to the a Latin Mass for the first time. This is the Catholic Church i was missing all my life and I am looking to get baptised now. I never felt so close to God in a Church before.
Amazing! God bless you! I am a convert as well, it is worth it. And if I can give you a recommendation: in your first year after converting go to Adoration and confession as frequently as you can manage. I was able to go to Adoration for one hour weekly and confession monthly, and the Lord worked beautiful things in my heart during that time. There were a lot of bad memories, past sins, and broken ways of thinking that I was still carrying and this spritiual practice allowed me to bring all of those things before God to be healed. The Lord *wants* to set you free, so please just make the time with Him to do that
I’m 17, the traditional Liturgy brought me to convert from Protestantism. If I was only exposed to your average novus ordo, I probably wouldn’t have considered conversion.
@@cole_07_30 I’m 22, was baptized last year in the NO. I found beauty in the NO that the Protestant churches were not offering. I found structure, the Eucharist, order, and tradition. Ultimately though, I began to ask questions when I found out what the tlm is. I wondered why my NO parish didnt really offer incense, why the music was very similar to Protestant music instead of the Latin chants I’ve seen online, why the vestments seem bland, why most people took the Mass very nonchalantly with little care. I remember attended my first tlm after shortly being baptized and I fell in love. I didn’t know what was going on but it spoke volumes and answered every question I had. Any sort of tradition that may lack in the NO, is fulfilled in the tlm, and it’s those traditional practices that help me build deeper connections with my Lord.
Amen to that! I agree and believe that young people today have been starved of truth for way too long. They are hungry and seeking Truth on their own. I pray they find it in the Traditional Latin Mass. Thank you for the video, Mass of the Ages!
I love the Low Mass. It’s not that I do not appreciate the choir in the High Mass, but my life virtually never has a quiet moment and my mind is always active. But for these thirty minutes or so I can spend time in silence with the Lord. It’s truly a blessing!

I’m not a theologian nor church historian, but I can see that one Mass is more reverent and beautiful than the other, and lends itself to build more beautiful churches.
This is beautiful! As a baby boomer I received Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation in the Old Rite. Things changed in high school. Six years ago I rediscovered the Latin Mass through the grace of God. I finally found what I had been searching for many years. It is like I have come full circle. I feel cheated but so thankful to be back.
Conversion is not in my opinion necessarily a single event. It seems to me to often be an organic process in which the sensitive soul responds to successive discernments of the Divine nature.over a period of time.
I am a younger boomer. I remember when the priest said the Mass partially in English and partially in Latin, the priest faced away from the congregation, and women wore veils. I infinitely prefer Mass in the vernacular, feeling invited to participate fully in the liturgy.
Just spent a week in Rome attending Mass everyday at the FSSP parish - Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini . Mass occurring at the High Altar, at the same time with several Masses being offered at the Side Altars. Highly recommend making this your home base when visiting Rome.
This is good...as a convert of 5 years this is very good. Even for Catholics, who have not yet experienced the Latin mass I'm going to share this with somebody.
The reformations were made explicitly for "modern audiences", and you already know just by seeing today's world entertainment, how when catering to the few; spoils the large faithful congregation. To think, that the greatest institution in the world, has bent the knee to accommodate the lazy, the uninstructed, the "fast-food" type of people that only wants immediate gratification, instead of them; silencing their minds, and awe into the Majesty of our Lord's Grace through the Traditional Latin Mass. Now "modern audiences" sing like parrots in modern mass, with easy to follow choirs, untalented, all over the place. Not so different from the Pentecostal denominational "clubs" that run like sheep in a slaughterhouse, screaming like the possessed but not from the Holy Spirit. These were the warnings that many of the traditionalist tried to heed our predecessors, and still do in our present day. Yet, unintentionally the "progressive leaders" of the Holy Roman Church, wanted to make, the holy services of mass as palatable as a Hollywood movie. Shiny yet irrelevant, pleasant but inferior in meaning. No depth, devoid of contemplation... dull. At least, that's my observation in the type of mass that I used to watch, in my homeland, and I know others deep within their core think the same. The days counted, that the present vicar of our Lord revert these "heretical" reformations made by obfuscated leadership in the past, have long gone by into the gutter. Now, our Lord's and Saints depictions are portraited as kid's cartoons. The music, is cacophonous dissonance, destructive to the very soul of what the Holy Mass used to offer to the faithful congregation. All noise, and I do pray that the leaders of the Holy Roman Church, guide back this institution to its traditional, glorious and faithful ways. So help us God.
"The pope said he was saddened that the celebration of the extraordinary form was now characterized by a rejection of the Second Vatican Council and its liturgical reforms."
Love for God with whole heart n Soul. From India, hungry to the core, sobbing intense ly, to see the Light of Tradition of the ages, where holy Saints laid their life for the Glory of God's Loving Church.

And to his followers and supporters who suffered so much from their Bishops, priests and fellow Catholics for their attachment to tradition and the Latin Mass.
@vaniljLeohow are they schismatic? They are allowed by their rule to appoint their own bishops (, called "titular" bishops) but they recognize Pope Francis
This is how I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. The mass was entirely in Latin. I had a St. Joseph Missile and read in Latin. I am 74 yrs old and I still have it. It was beautiful. No hand shaking non of the nonsense they incorporated into today’s Mass. The Saints were in front of the alter not shut away on the side somewhere. I loved going to church. So sad.
Catholic father of eight here and attendee of sspx tlm in benelux region. Just want to say that the comments from the converts from protestantism to traditional catholicism literally make my heart leap with joy and brings tears to my eyes. Methinks that these are some of the fruits of the daily rosaries we pray in families. I always wish to challenge hardened protestants to attend a TLM and see whether they'll remain the same.
Beautiful. Two good books for people to learn more are: THE HIDDEN TREASURE OF THE MASS by St. Leonard de Port Maurice AND The Incredible Catholic Mass by Father Martin Cochem.
Me too I just come back from the Christ of king Latin Mass at the Inmaculate Hearth of Mary Oratory in San Jose,Ca. By the way High Mass! So Beautiful, so Divine . CHRIST IS KING!!! God Bless everybody!
Pro tip for parents of small children: Feed them, take them to the bathroom, and let them run around *before* Mass, that way they will be comfortable and able to focus on what's happening. provide a soft toy or children's missal or religious board book for the littlest ones. place them in the pew between you and your spouse so if you have to speak to them, your whisper will be heard by only you. Don't hesitate to take them outside if you have to, no one will bat an eye. It's routine in most parishes. Most children, however, will look around at the beautiful church and listen to the music if you've made them comfortable. Save the games and greetings for AFTER Mass.
Thank you for this. Beautiful! The Mass was always in Latin till I was well into my teens. We were twelve siblings, kept in perfect order in our two pews by very vigilant parents. Seems we always had a new baby and another to come soon after. Bigger children would exit with a crying baby and quietly return when calmness returned. My Father was the perfect image of devotion. I would watch as he reverently turned the onion skin pages of his Missal with such gentleness! But he always had a keen glance cast on my more restless Brothers which kept them in check.! The exquisite stained glass windows were a picture book Catechism for me before I could read, or comprehend what was going on. The bells told me Jesus was about to come right onto the altar and I would slide off the bench and kneel, waiting for the stupendous moment. When older I received my own Missal in which I could follow the Latin as well as the English across the page. I learned a lot of Latin words then. Two Brothers always served at the altar, and later three, then four. Saturday night at the dinner table was a vigerous sparring over who would serve "right wing", and who would ring the bells. Worse arguments could have been had! Since the sudden shock of a reversed alter with the embarrassed elderly priest required to face the congregation, the incremental loss of more and more Latin, the jarring music, the lessening of reverence, I have prayed for the return of worship of those times. I know it will happen. God's timing is always perfect. But until it does, we all must guard our hearts and minds, keep in prayer, especially the rosary, frequent the sacraments, sacrifice, and be strong in Christ. This is Gods Church, His Bride. He WILL take CARE of HER!
@donnahalsted7718 Thank you. I am sure my cousins have these same memories. I missed these beautiful times. Although our parish obediently switched to the "English Mass," they kept all the old ways (old hymns, altar rails, boys in cassocks and surplice holding patens) until I was very young...then bit by bit they dismantled all that too....introducing a "folk mass" with guitars and tamborines, ripping out the rail, getting rid of the cassocks and surplices and then the boys themselves, etc until its a bleeding free for all now. Waiting for someone to be throwing a beach ball around like it's a rock concert. God help us. I can't live like this. And neither will they. There's a reason their church gets emptier and emptier and my traditional parish just gets bigger and bigger
I love latin masses . I pray the rosary in latin and it heals my mind and body. Latin hymns are divine. This heritage should be preserved for future generations too. Thanks for this video and love from 🇱🇰
I attended TLM few times already and I am so fascinated with the celebration. Truly, the mass of all ages! We should revive and re-introduce this celebration to the new generation.
Length of the Low Mass depends if there is a homily or not. The Low Mass I attended this morning was about 1 hr and 15 minutes. Followed by Consecration to Christ the King.
The only difference between what is said in this lovely video and my TLM experience at St Joseph Catholic Church in Wichita KS is that there is no silence. This isn’t due to a lack of reverence, but because there are so many families with SO MANY BABIES. Thanks be to God, these families are open to life and cooperating with God. The babies’ cries, responded to swiftly by loving parents, remind me of how we should never be afraid to cry out to our Father in Heaven. I attend TLM because it gives our Lord due reverence. ❤️
"You whose glory above the heavens is chanted by the mouth of babies and infants" (Psalm 8:2). The commentary for this Psalm passage in the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible states "The cooing and babbling of little ones is a form of divine praise." Someone should write an essay on this subject, perhaps you.
@@joelnivekcpcp There's a difference between 'cooing and babbling' and having the little urchins constantly talk and run around where the priest loses his place, attendees lose their place, and the parents think it's cute. Happens every Monday at a church in Troy NY. She has 4 kids. They make constant noise. When the youngest starts crying, she carries the kid throughout the church as if saying, "look at me". There's the 'Divine praise' for you.
Have any opinion you want about the place of the extraordinary form in today's world. You can't dispute that these guys are not mailing in the the liturgy and they are not mailing in their faith. I came home to the church because of it's beauty and the wonder of HIS presence and this is a beautiful home.
Went for my First Sunday High Latin Mass at John Cantius, Chicago. Was a very reverent Liturgy, but I got overwhelmed with the feast day of Christ, the King prayers.
We’re very blessed in Waterford, Ireland to have a daily TLM with FSSP🙏 But so many in Ireland do not have easy access and are not aware of what they have been deprived of😭 Our world and the souls of the faithful need to have this restored🙏 In Gods time all will be restored🙏

@@yashuarazohr Amen, a true traditionalist.
Beautiful work! Blessed Mother and St. Joseph please intercede for the prosperity of the Mass in Extraordinary form💛
"The pope said he was saddened that the celebration of the extraordinary form was now characterized by a rejection of the Second Vatican Council and its liturgical reforms."

Thank you for this short, beautiful and informative video. I'm already sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Praying that Bishop Christensen opens his heart and allows a regular TLM in the Boise, Idaho area.
Pray many Rosaries and novenas for this intention.

And let us be thankful to Abp Marcel Lefebvre for essentially preserving the traditional Latin Mass.
And to his followers and supporters who suffered so much from their Bishops, priests and fellow Catholics for their attachment to tradition and the Latin Mass.
SSPX is schismatic
@vaniljLeohow are they schismatic? They are allowed by their rule to appoint their own bishops (, called "titular" bishops) but they recognize Pope Francis
Thank you for this beautiful video. I attended a song Latin Mass this morning, and I am so grateful that I am able to do that.
Wonderful!
I Love The Latin Mass... Since I Went Here In León México....Was a Not Coming Back....VIVA LA MISA TRADICONAL.
So sad.
I'm so blessed to live near a parish with weekly TLM. May Christ's kingdom come quickly here on earth as it is in Heaven.
Hidden Treasure could be used as a missal! It is truly a beautiful work. Short too, which helps 😂
Could not agree with you more
I keep reading over and over
The Incredible Catholic Mass!
@@edwalter6453 I know I love it!
Me too I just come back from the Christ of king Latin Mass at the Inmaculate Hearth of Mary Oratory in San Jose,Ca. By the way High Mass! So Beautiful, so Divine . CHRIST IS KING!!! God Bless everybody!
San Jose?? With Canon Ueda perhaps?
Thanks for this video and love from 🇱🇰
True worship as our mighty and holy God deserves! Thank you, Lord for these priests!

Love the Latin Mass! The hymns are beautiful!
I LOVE THE TLM,
I love my TLM community in my undisclosed location !!
I'm so happy this will be my funeral Mass. I love our Holy Faith and the Latin Mass.
Beautiful 🥲🙏✝️❤️🔥
This made my day, so beautiful. The Holy Mass is the most sublime part of our faith. Thanks be to GOD.
I attended TLM few times already and I am so fascinated with the celebration. Truly, the mass of all ages! We should revive and re-introduce this celebration to the new generation.
Thanks be to God for the Norbertines here in Orange County, so we have the Latin Mass at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church at Costa Mesa! 🙏
Write on YT.....Post-conciliar Latin Mass......and you will see what such a Mass looks like in Poland
@gregorycurry2173 we have here the novus ordo mass in Latin as well and "ad orientem", Norbertines and diocesan priests offers it.
I go to one once a month! I am so blessed to have so many near me!
Length of the Low Mass depends if there is a homily or not. The Low Mass I attended this morning was about 1 hr and 15 minutes. Followed by Consecration to Christ the King.
Yes, and without a homily, they can be over in 40 minutes.
It absolutely is. I love the Latin Mass and I couldn't imagine it any other way.
How I wish I had found the TLM when my children were small. It is so beautiful and inspiring.
Praise Jesus!
Yes indeed, all are welcome to come and hear and experience the Ancient Mass of the Saints .
The commentary for this Psalm passage in the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible states "The cooing and babbling of little ones is a form of divine praise."
Someone should write an essay on this subject, perhaps you.
Beautifully done! Thank you, Mass of the Ages folks!

Went for my First Sunday High Latin Mass at John Cantius, Chicago. Was a very reverent Liturgy, but I got overwhelmed with the feast day of Christ, the King prayers.
One of the few churches in the Chicago area that stills has it. What a shame.
I would so love to attend Mass there at Christmas just once. I'm out of state.
@@gregoryeidukas8354and yet even that church is not allowed to have it every Sunday anymore because of the cardinal 🙄 what a shame

I go to the low mass and sometimes it lasts over an hour, especially if the homily is really good or if we have more people than usual.
This is the mass that brought me back to the Church, and kept me Catholic.
We’re very blessed in Waterford, Ireland to have a daily TLM with FSSP🙏
