    You guys don’t understand the little detail of just the gear doors making the underside so clean looking. Now I wish all my other Freewing 80 mm birds had this!!! 👍🏼🔥🔥🔥

    • @alphamrc309
      @alphamrc309 5 років тому +1

      Thanks, MRT. The full coverage doors was a feature we really wanted to incorporate into this model from the very start. It really does clean up the underside, and for a trainer jet, every little bit helps in terms of energy efficiency.

    • @mrt10352
      @mrt10352 5 років тому

      Gypsy Salami are refusing to the the energy transfer? Gear doors equals less drag. No gear doors equal more drag, less energy efficiency

    • @ThePaulv12
      @ThePaulv12 4 роки тому

      @@mrt10352 In the prototype, sure.
      How's it going to make any difference on one of these though?
      The tiny amount of extra drag means it'll have to be paid for in extra thrust meaning about 3 seconds less flight time FFS!
      Thing is on the underside of a wing is far less important than this sort of thing on the upper side but yeah they look awesome and it's a fantastic detail.

    I preordered one the day it was announced. Can't wait to get it. Enjoyed watching the video with the multiple touch-n-go's. I usually don't put stabilizers in 80mm EDFs, but this one looked so lightly wing-loaded that I think it'd benefit from a simple 3-axis stabilizer. Luckily, I have a few Admiral 6-channels w/ stabilizer lying around my hobby room. I thought that the gear doors were sequenced, but now know (from this video) that they're spring loaded. Excellent. (Oxotnik, on The Squawk and RCG).

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  5 років тому +1

      Yeah man. The gear is so solid! Thanks for watching

    • @velikijoxotnik
      @velikijoxotnik 5 років тому

      The gear does look solid and not prone to bouncing. Although most of the touch-n-go's were nearly perfect, a couple slapped down a little hard, due to the unpredictable wind, but the T-33 didn't show any signs of bouncing. The gear seems to be VERY forgiving for this aircraft. With the Power Train and Gear, this plane is looking like it'll be an awesome plane to fly. Can't wait to get mine (USAF livery, although the German livery was VERY tempting very) and to get it into the air.

    very nice work, looks like an excellent addition to every jet-fans hangar...im sure these things will sell like hotcakes...the german version looks so nice, first plane in a long time that does not seem to need a ton of mods to look sweet, just a few little leds here and there and a bit weathering maybe and it will look fantastic - saw the real one here in Berlin-Gatow at the Luftwaffenmuseum, good job guys, cheers

      @MotionRC  5 років тому

      It would need more than that though, a shorter fuse, inlet size, pretty much a different mold entirely really. But with the advent of 3d printing and some sweet modeling you have a great basis to let your imagination soar.
