This is a beautiful book. As a native french speaker i never buy french comics in their English version. That would be blasphemy. But i think i am going to make an exception because the book you are showing here is a little taller then the original french version i bought a few years ago. I love that you have an interest in manga and european comics. If you are into this kind of comic may i suggest you read Enki Bilal or Phillipe Druillet comics. They were both part of Metal Hurlant magazine along with Moebius but for some reason are not as famous as Moebius or Jodorowsky in english speaking countries . Some of their books are available in english. I think Salammbo has just been released in english and believe me Druillet's art is gorgeous. You will thank me later. On a separate note, have you watched the documentary Jodorowsky's Dune. A lot of the ideas used on his failed attempt to adapt DUne into a movie were recycled and used on the Incal.
You are the second person to mention Druillet today, so now my dood, I'm looking at Salammbo online. And I did catch the documentary on Netflix and I mention a little of what you mentioned in the video. Greatest movie never made, brother.

I read 'The Incal' in the 80's first as it was published in the new created Heavy Metal comic magazine (eventual you also know Epic) where the makers try to make these kind of comics accessible to an extensive public. In that years many of some of the best european artists and authors comes up. The 'Incal' run is one of the best comic books I ever read until today. The story, the art is so incredible awesome.

Beautiful edition, but there's something about the Humanoids translation of this I don't like. John DiFool seems to be a lot more agressive, vulgar, and corrosive in the spanish version. In this English translation he just comes off more like a goofball or something. Maybe it's just me but if anyone wants to read the Incal, read it in spanish if you understand the language. And if you know french, it's probably even better.
Any good edition in spanish i can easily get now? no one has published it here in Mexico ever, although Panini seems like a possible candidate in the future with their recent european titles.

What are the dimensions of the book? I look on Amazon says that the Oversized Deluxe Incal is 13.31 inches tall but it says New Frontier Absolute Edition is 15 inches tall and in your video they are the same height! I'm so confused!
I own Many of Jodorosky’s books in hardcover editions but not The Incal. I’ve been waiting for an edition like this and it looks like the print run is severely limited... and I’m broke 😩
Great book. Got mine from U.S Amazon and shipped to Asia and as per the norm it arrived with the book just thrown in a week ass box which was way to big with no packing material. The slip case suffered a dinged corner. What would it take to just at least give the books a wrap of bubble wrap as they get boxed. I'd gladly pay a couple $ extra. shame on amazon for lack of customer care. this should be talked about more as we just accept this situation.
I am so sorry this happened to you. I don't put up with that crap here, but it's easy for me to say that as I live in America and things get sent in two days. It really depends on what warehouse sent it out.

They all vary, that's what I have come to find out. So the best thing to do before you purchase is to look at the dimensions of the books under the description.

It's wonderful for the art alone, the story like I said, you have to be used that European comic style of writing, but it's so damn solid.

I've read the first Metabarons and Weapons volume 1. I love that....almost as much as The Incal.

It's a gorgeous book that originally came out in France. I went into it a little bit in the video. The art alone by Moebius is amazing.
