For people who hardly ever visit, like every few years, I think it’s absolutely worth it. Waiting 2 hours in line vs. almost 7 hours? That’s 5 whole hours you could be doing other things. Shopping, eating, doing the magic wand spots in Harry Potter World etc. If you visit a lot then it’s probably not worth it but for me, it’s worth every penny. I would not go without express.
I think so too! Visiting for the first time in over 5 years next month so I’m definitely gonna go for the express pass and try to participate in everything that I can throughout the whole day
@@comoplaysdestiny5106 It’s also been almost 5 years for me and the last time I went I rode everything in both parks (that I wanted to) in one day with time to spare. I was able to have a nice long lunch and leisurely shop and it was thanks to the express pass.
I've never gotten to go (or to WDW) so I'd def buy it.
Emma has really settled in to a wonderful edition to All ears. I know we all were sad to see Molly go, but Emma....you have really come into your own in a very short amount of time. 🙂
One of the things I really love about this channel is that everyone knows how privileged they are to do this all the time and have this as a job/side hustle, and genuinely appear to love doing this. Wear your sunscreen, kids! Keep doing this a long time!
I could watch Disney videos all day long, but I love when you guys switch it up and do things at Universal. Both are amazing and both deserve love
Fun fact: in 2021 I was taken off the Escape from Brigitte ride because I was too big and couldn't faster my seat belt\bar. So I had to do a walk of shame all the way back through the queue... But, the staff members were very polite and simpathetic, they gave me many fast passes to cheer me up. And, as a result of that, I had a Bariatric surgery, lost 90 Lbs and now don't have to worry about any rides! Happy end!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
I'm always frustrated by complaints about cost. I understand for a family of 6 this might be an impossible spend, but for me and my husband, paying for Express or Genie+ saves us at least one day in the park. That's two tickets, one night's hotel, and meals and snacks saved for the price of Genie+ or Express. For me it's a no-brainer.
As someone who doesn’t live in Florida, let alone Orlando, my husband and I always buy the express pass! We get to go to Disney/Universal once a year if we’re lucky. I know the All Ears gang always says the express pass isn’t worth it but if I can afford it, $170 is worth it to me to be able to ride everything I want to ride with no stress AND have plenty of time leftover to eat at a leisurely pace, sight see, shop, and just have a more chill day. If you don’t mind a go go go type of day at the park, maybe the pass isn’t worth it. But if you want to be able to chill and relax a bit more AND still be able to get everything done on your list, it’s definitely worth the money! Just my opinion :) this video was hilarious too btw. The fast and furious bit had me cackling!!
You are absolutely correct! The lowered stress levels make an ExPress Pass worth it. I actually upgraded my AP to allow me to have Express Pass after 4 pm every visit. SO worth it!.
Is it $179+ per person or per reservation? Also is it per day?
@@danielwhite2894 If you buy it at the gate, day of, it is $179 / person / day. HOWEVER few people do that. Buy online and you save at least 20% (sometimes it's as low as $120/person/day), but most peoiple using Express Pass are staying in a premier hotel room. So, pay around $400-500/night for everyone in your room to get unlimited express pass. This means a family of four is paying about $200/ night for a premier hotel room with water taxi service to/from the parks and resort with VERY little security lines AND each person's EP cost is about $25-50/day. Or, just think of a premier hotel room as a $400-500/ night cost and the EP is free for everyone. The Premier resorts are at the level of Deluxe resorts at Disney (or better, since Premier resorts have actual minirerigerators and daily housekeeping) and about $300/night LESS than Disney. For this price, I've actually stayed at the Royal Pacific and driven to/ from Disney each day. Even with gas and parking and rental car fees, it was much cheaper than the Poly, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge OR Grand Floridian.
@@michelle1 thanks that helps a lot with budgeting for the trip. It's my first time in over 20 years so it's all new and my kids absolutely wanna go to Harry Potter and all that jazz .
@@danielwhite2894 Definitely stay in a Premier hotel. The rooms are great (Portofino has larger rooms, but Royal Pacific is my fav since the resort is not spread out so you don't have a long walk to your room after the parks), and have great perks including restaurants, express passes, early park entry and special transportation. Get the park to park ticket so you can ride Hogwart's Express train between the parks. (In Disney it's called a park hopper) It is a different experience going to/from London so ride in both directions. With early morning hours for Haggrid's and Velocicoaster roller coasters that are not part of express pass, you can spend the day being free to do what you want as you want with the Express passes. They are not tied to particular times and you can re-use them on the same ride for your favs.
Thank you for doing this! i've been really struggling on whether or not to do express pass for our first universal trip in January. Now I'm really leaning towards for sure.
I love the express pass, worth it for my hubby and me because we hate waiting in long lines. Also, your editor is AMAZING. I get a giggle every time I watch one of your videos!
Literally, if you’re going for a week, just buy a premier annual pass. Discounts, free parking, early park admission, AND express pass after 4 pm.
You also get a free HHN ticket on select nights.
This is what we did. The discounts on hotel, food, merch and ability to go to both parks is worth it for us. My kids (17 and 13) are not morning people so, we sleep in, swim, have lunch and hit the parks around 3-4 ! We love it
I love your personalities and the editing was great! Looking forward to future videos!! :)
Another great video, Emma is definitely settling in to it.
Great video! Emma definitely has a spark! These are the best videos, strategy + convenience.
+ Quincy is great as always!
My fam of 4 went in March 2022. It was cheaper for us to stay at the HardRock and get free express pass than to stay at a value and pay for express pass. We figured out quickly that the express pass line is easily 1/2 the wait time (or less) as the standby line.
of course witty Hannah is a Ravenclaw! let's see more if her please
I will forever pay for express. Now that universal is so so popular. I can’t wait to go back in November!
Yes! Emma needs to go to HHN (bring Fry Bucket too)
The editor did a particularly great job on this!
Love Emma’s shirt - I was a Phi Mu at North Dakota State University - didn’t know I was supporting a fellow sister but glad to know that I am.
When we went during spring break it cost $325.00 per person for the skip the line pass for both parks. That is on top of almost $200.00 just to get into park. Ridiculous. We didn't do it obviously
The pass is awfully expensive. But free if you stay in one of the high end hotels. Which are a bit cheaper than Disney 's high end hotels
Poor Emma got the short end of the stick, for this one today! 😂😂 You two have to switch roles for the next one. I can't say that pass is worth it, unless maybe spring break, if you are only going there one a lifetime.
Not enough rides for that kind of money. Quincy saved almost 5 hours, but Emma was still able to do all the same rides. Also, a couple of the ones included are skippable.
Go Quincy in Express Pass 👸 Queendom! 😉
Emma's singing is so good :)
If I buy a 2 day -1 park per day ticket and buy the express pass will I be able to use it in the other park on the second day?
I don't live in the US and my child is on the spectrum, he is very impatient. So the fast pass is a need for me.
To me, an extra 4-5 hours of waiting is more than just "waiting;" it is a frustration level that I can't handle...and neither can little kids. I'd much rather stay at Royal Pacific and utilize the highest level Express pass so kids can re-ride Men In Black or Minions and not have to wait a long time to ride Fast and the Furious. (Quincy, you should be sooo ashamed ;). ) Plus Royal Pacific has really nice showers and great restaurants.
What time of year was this video made? Spring/summer?
Quincy = Provoker Of The Gods🌩🌩
Can I ask what cameras you are filming on please?
I do appreciate that my annual pass comes with express pass after 4
The Science chant naturally made me think BILL BILL BILL BILL
I think it should have been mentioned that it doesn’t always cost that much and it depends on so many factors. How much time do you have - can you stay in a deluxe hotel and get it for free. I disagree that it is not worth it- the answer should be it depends. I get it every time and love it- it so worth it to me - I never pay that kind of an up charge.
I think the Simpsons area is supposed to stay until around either 2026 or 2028, which is what I read somewhere. I would love to see a Ready Player One attraction though!🤩
Express Pass is worth every penny. (And it is far, far superior to Genie+) Time is money, and having the Express Pass allowed Quincy to avoid FIVE HOURS of waiting. That's more than half a day in the parks that could be spent eating, drinking, shopping, relaxing, and revisiting favorite rides.
The best thing about express pass is that express unlimited is included with the high end hotels for the price of a Disney moderate
Doesn't it actually depend on the people involved and what they actually want to do?
I appreciate that this review mentioned 1) the size of the lockers, backpack size & riding with a fanny pack info along with lockers cost 2) that there’s a giant terrifying cat in the hat 3) that there two different hogwarts express ride experiences 4) which rides are motion sickness inducers. Thanks!
Bring a pocket sized WHITE umbrella for the non-shaded queues. It makes a world of difference.
First reaction to Diagon Alley? "Smells like fish" 😅
How much extra does it cost to spend a day at Universal with the Allears crew?
Did Emma get to eat or have coffee?
Question: are you allowed to wear masks in the queues (or even on the rides) for those rides you have to put all your stuff in a locker?
You can wear your mask on rides! I've worn it on all of them including The Hulk and Hagrid's.
Quincy my son volunteers to ride cat in the hat with you so you won’t be scared 🥰
Yes cuz seeing the eyes of fear looking at me is very good
this exact video was done by AllEars 10 months ago, except then it was $100. Have things changed that much ?
Always nice to watch a vlog on wait times at Universal. WDW wait times are ridiculous, and their prices too.
Quincy got a promotion since the last time they did this
I find it ironic that you said there aren't that many attractions, since Universal Studios (the smaller of the two Universal Orlando parks) has more rides than any Disney park except Magic Kingdom.
Can I ask when you go online the 2 park unlimited express pass is listed at $120 is actually 170.
Express Pass prices vary by date and are more expensive during busier days and times of year. Make sure to check the day you are going for the specific price.
The cost depends on the date and is cheaper when purchased ahead of time.
@@AllEarsNet I bought mine 7 months ahead for a day in December and it was 120 so I just was worried that I bought the wrong thing to be honest. I double checked and I bought the right thing. It just must be cheaper because I bought so far in advance.
@@amyheeg3552 yea I bought three express passes and they were 120 each I got worried that I bought the wrong thing.
We always stay at hard rock to get express included
Ill be there there in 18 days! How did you like Hard Rock? Weve never stayed there, looking forward to it!
It is incredibly awesome and you can’t beat the location. We come down every year for HHN and it’s so great. Warning though. We did it last year and now we don’t want to stay anywhere else.
@@hardt_life4545 oh I’m totally expecting that side effect! I flew first class two years ago for the first time. Now coach kills my soul. 😂
@@momzillainnova oh I do understand that
We had to fly coach coming back from Barbados in May and I was so disgruntled
WAS EMMA READING AO3 FANFIC IN LINE??
I've only been to Universal twice and have no plans to go back. If I did, however, no I wouldn't pay it. You have to do the math to see if staying in one the more expensive hotels and getting it "free" would be worth it. I'm assuming if you were a family of say 3, the cost of the hotel isn't $525 more per night so it might be.
The cost of the hotel IS more than $525 a night during busy times. All 3 of the hotels are charging over $900 a night at Christmas time.
Good information for sure and I will be getting the pass to save some time. You might check your math on the standy line though, I think it is only 6 hrs 31 min.
Emma has got to go to hhn especially bug house
I got sorted into Hufflepuff. At first I was disappointed. Then I got used to it. Now I call myself a Hufflepuff with pride
Me too 😂
@@shelleysimpson3154 #HufflePride
Poor Emma, you were tricked into feeling the pain we all felt when getting on Fast and Furious but Emma was to do HHN for science.
Rainbow Connection is the only way i ride
Yooh ah whizzher Arrie
Why did Emma not ride Cat in the Hat?
I ain’t spending 170 for fast pass for one day they are snorting coke if they think so
I rarely pay the 15 dollars for genie plus or lightning lane. I get fast pass after 4 with my universal pass
The express pass is not worth it!! Go to a premier hotel and get free express there.
Comment …. Yay!!!!!!
Poseidon’s Fury was the attraction that disappointed me the most. The outside is beautiful, but the experience was awful. I’d rank it below Fast and Furious.
The real kicker of Forbidden Journey is that they don't warn you that giant acromantulas spit and jump at you in massive animatronic form. Hard freaking pass!!!
No I was just there it is not worth the 200
37:55
No
Quincy and Molly were the dynamic duo and their vlogs were 🔥. But Quincy is stepping up and she’s definitely the star of Allears. Emma is a nice edition and they’re slowly becoming the new Captain Marvel/Wonder Woman for Allears.
I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude but didn't this channel do the exact same video with Molly amd quincy like over a year ago?
Yes and they mentioned it in the vlog. But different times of the year can impact the results.
I think that Universal’s express pass is 1000x better than Genie Plus. That being said, I often don’t think it’s a smart move buying it a la carte. If you really want it, I think it makes much more financial sense to spend the extra money on a Premium Hotel.
Ive had the opposite expirence. Disney Genie is a nightmare, and 45+ minute waits for Kong, Hulk, River Adventure, Forbidden Journey, Ripsaw Falls, RRR, MIB, Spiderman and many others were under 10 minutes waits, if not a walk on with Express.
Fast and Furious actually had a wait? When I went to Universal everyone avoided it at all costs
this is kinda pointless if you don't use the single rider lines for the person without express. I guess this video is for people with kids so I get it, but I wish you would do it again using whatever the best non express option is.
Or heck on Men in Black the express person should use single rider too since it's always 5 min or less because it's 3 riders across.
You need a third person to use the single rider line.
One of you needs to change your voice so I'm don't get confused about who is speaking.
And girls don't sweat - horses sweat, boys perspire, girls glow.
paying close to $200 and not have a pass for the two most popular attractions? Whats the point then?
I’m with you Emma, I HATE to be scared. I would never in a million years go to HHN. 🫣
The Science chant naturally made me think BILL BILL BILL BILL
As a former science teacher, absolutely.
