D Snodgrass I watched this show, the last band was Pearl Jam. Everthing was pretty safe and everybody got of the show together at midnight. They're incredible at daylight too.
Given the quality of that mix on Tiny Monsters, I was half expecting Maynard to find the sound engineer and throw that glass of wine in their face haha. I mean, glad he didn't, but a mix bad enough to throw everybody off like that would have me thinking about it were I in his shoes.

What's the point of soundcheck and setup if it's just going to be THAT bad? _Especially_ if it's going to be recorded? I would step in from time-to-time to run the soundboard for a band my father was in, I get that things will always need adjustment from change of ambient noise and sound reflection in a packed area; but this was something bad enough to keep the band from synching for an entire song. That takes some serious carelessness and too easily shits on the entire performance for the musicians. I had just made a dumb joke and here you come with your qUeSTioN and now I'm all grumpy hahaha
What you are listening to here, is a mix of the recording of this performance. That is usually a separate mix from the mix that the audience hears from the soundsystem at the venue. So it isn't so much the fault of the sound engineer (who is part of the bands crew and should not be blamed for this) but a shortcoming of the recording engineer sitting in the studio truck of the this AV production you are seeing and listening to.
this seems so underwhelming, So many other artists use these over-the-top stage effects and special lighting just to make a show more enjoyable but fucking maynard has transcended all of that. he could just show up in pajamas after waking up and absolutely drive every fan nuts.
