I hope you all liked my trashy song.
I took a lot of melody/chord inspiration from different songs like "U Know What's Up" from Turning Red and "I Want it That Way" by the Back Street Boys.
The look of the band was also inspired by real boybands like the Backstreet Boys and fictional ones like 4*Town and Sev'ral Timez.
The software I used is Autodesk Maya for animating, Garageband and Logic Pro for composing music, and Adobe Premiere for editing. I also used The Setup Machine, an auto-rigging tool by Raf Anzovin.
Also special thanks to RecD for some creative suggestions.

I just noticed how the recycling sign on the blue bin is not part of the model and is manually animated, and it disturbes me to my very core.
Its just a png that only moves in xyz axis but never turns thus invisible in top down shots or when the character is leaning forward and visible when it shouldnt be when character turns to his side

I love how even though they all dance in sync, their animations are slightly different so it actually feels like multiple people dancing in sync rather than reused animations on the same skeleton.

My favorite part is how much _organic_ inconsistencies there are.
From them not being perfectly symmetrical, head movements slightly off from one another, the circles they make are off by a little, and how sometimes the white screen doesn't cover the background entirely and you get the other back clipping in.
Even though they are literal living trash bins, little stuff like that make them seem more real and alive than more professional animation.

In case y’all are curious, Junk-Chuck (My favorite member) Is still missing to this day since the Trash Binz broke up in 2016. This song ‘Delete this tweet’ Released in 2008 and was their hit single and breakthrough, That’s how I discovered them. This song and music video brings me joy and takes me back to the simpler times. Unfortunately, in late 2015, A leaked video was released of the member’s abuse. This then caused backlash against Garbage Records so they decided to release the Trash binz’s last song ‘Trash another day.’ It’s a slow yet moving song of their memories and time together. I admit it made me cry at first listen that now I play it on my keyboard every day. The other members have had families and some started an acting career, all except for Junk-Chuck who is still missing to this day. Thank you for diving into a bit of the controversy and why the Trash Binz Disbanded.

Rick-Mykal didnt say much about him only saying " He wanted to close this chapter of his life and start a new one. He may come back if he so chooses, but i hope he's doing well" quoted form the interveiw he took after Junk-Chucks disspearance.

*BEN:* (silver with blond hair): The eldest & charmingly irritating leader of the band who's the most infamous & popular of all, singing the lead roles of most of their songs, and handling all the publicity & junk-mail. In person, he's unbearably wisenheimer about the band's lavishly loathed status, but his inflated ego is weak - let's say he's the type of bin to want factually-correct tweets deleted.
*JESSY:* (silver with white cap): The one nobody remembers, despite being Ben's best friend, being much friendlier & approachable, playing a key role in founding the Trash Binz, and writing most of their songs. In a way, being ignored is worse than being reviled...
*T. ASH:* (grey with black hair): Tall, dark & not handsome, but very edgy & gothic too. He once left to lead a solo career in freeform-jazz before rejoining the band to do both at the same time. The coolest-headed and snarkiest member, not that his puns are any man's treasure.
*JUNK-CHUCK:* (green with blond hair & goatee): The strongest, hunkiest member who always makes sure to show off his rubbish-bin-six-pack in all of the band's music videos, but is also very greedy about his food and makes mukbangs about eating expired leftovers. Gets half of the girls, and drives the other half away with his smell of haddock & maggots.
*RICK-MYKAL:* (blue with ginger hair - the recycling bin): The cute one! The youngest, kindest & clumsiest, he always gets to make the sweetest poses for the photoshoots and was the comic-relief in the binz' short-lived sitcom-spinoff that not even their fanbase liked. Past that, he's a serious advocate for keeping Earth green and making sure trash is recycled. Even some of the band's detractors admit to liking him.
*CLOWN:* (silver with red clown-hair): Not a member of this band, but he won a chance to participate in this music video after one of the replies to his tweet got 1 million likes before he got 12.

Most likely I'm the only one here but everytime I watch this, I wonder what's this band dynamic, from what I get from them is that:
- Blond one is the "kind leader"
- Blue one is "cute idiot"
- Black one is "dark and sexy"
- Green one is "cool and hungry"
- And the last one with the hat is "funny and crazy"

People on Twitter have to be joyless to be hating this video so much, I replayed it like 4 times when I first saw it. They say that cringe culture is people projecting what they hate most in themselves onto other people... Are people so afraid of this being posted in a response to them that they have to respond in such a way? lol
If they just stepped outside they wouldn't be so bitter. Maybe then they could come up with actual criticism and not threaten to game end themselves. All those oxygen deprived brains, they can't think straight.
