Honestly most of the romantic relationship episodes aren't bad, Mordecai is just intentionally written to a flawed and immature person. It's awkward and uncomfortable but that's the point. If the show was glorifying Mordecai's actions or blaming him for things that aren't his fault then yeah it would be bad writing, but this isn't the case here.
I didn’t mind most of the love triangle stuff honestly but this episode in particular did make me mad. Mordecai and Margaret have this wonderful exchange finally somewhat putting their feelings to bed and then they kiss anyway??? Like I get sometimes heat of the moment stuff happens but that?? Nah.
Ive just watched this episode, my frist time wathcing the show, this episode hits different, Adventure Time or Steven Universe episodes normally focus on sentimentality, which they do amazing, but this scene, gosh it messes with the viewer, Insane Episode!
