I like to imagine in the future Rigby is a stay at home dad that also runs a successful podcast where he talks about vintage gaming and other pop culture
This makes no sense but I’m just imagining him bringing like multiple of the dudes him and modercai used to fight on the podcast and them actually having serious debates or honest input about the gaming industry like “oh yea sure I’m demon but satan is Todd Howard for the how he’s milking Besatha IP’s”
The way Rigby and Eileen are so low-key kind of reminds me of two real-life friends of mine, I'll call them Alice and Bob. We would have weekly board game nights with upward of a dozen people. One night, somebody at our gaming table turned to us with a grin and said "Hey, have you guys noticed that Alice and Bob have been leaving at the same time the last few weeks?" And honestly I hadn't noticed. They never drew attention to their relationship or made a big deal about it. About a year later, they moved in together, and about a month ago he proposed. Their wedding is next year.
Rigby's growth in this show is absolutely crazy! He went from one of the most annoying characters in this show to one of the best written characters in the entire series! His relationship with Eileen was especially amazing.
Instead of a 'I can fix him' we got a 'I can fix myself for her' which is honestly pretty heartwarming. You can try to be a builder all you like but it only works if the motivation to change is mutual
Eileen is one of the best written partners I’ve seen in a cartoon. She’s loving and supportive while still having a backbone and is able to call Rigby out whenever he screws up. She’s a great person who inspired another person who was at a questionable period in his life to focus and change his ways for the better. I also love that Rigby actually had to work and improve as a person in order to “get the girl” and it wasn’t treated like some award that he just happened to luckily win. Great couple.
Not just that, they even go do things together, things that both are into, despite their somewhat different perspectives on life. Saving the turtles, and the episodes where they're shown hanging out on Eileen's house, were one of the best examples to me.
I love how for the first 4 seasons you can clearly see that Mordecai is the mature one and Rigby is the immature one. But from season 5 onward, as Mordecai starts to mess up his love life more and more and Rigby starts to actually try to become a better and nicer person, the labels shift.
I still can’t believe Mordecai hijacked Muscle Man’s wedding to talk about his love life issues. That was such a scumbag move. He’s lucky Muscle Man is a cool dude or else he would have ended their friendship on the spot.
@@philly_sports1558 yeah, Mordecai, regarding dating and girls, is surprisingly immature... As opposed to Rigby, who was always very apathetic and chill regarding that whole thing before starting to date Eileen, and when they started hanging out more, he only got upset about it with Mordecai at times because he knew he'd mock him for it, because otherwise, he always did the best he could! I mean, the guy literally did something he tried (through shortcuts, and ultimately still failed and gave up on doing) to do on one of the first episodes, finish High School. All because, to him, Eileen deserved someone better than the current him, someone who at least was capable of finishing High School. The guy deserves mad respect for that alone.
Personally if i had to rank it it would be like this: Muscle man Rigby Benson Pops Skips High five ghosts (but only because he bearly had any focus on him) Mordecai
@@Aarvid_HatiYeah, you're actually right when I went back to the series, I realized that high five actually had some characterization instead of just being another workout at the park. We saw Mordecai's whole story and his only character development was coming to terms that he was fine being single
I never understood Rigby who's always about doing something stupid that gets him and Mordecai into trouble but he ended up with a girl who's able to put up with him unlike Mordecai who the writers made him have the worst luck with the ladies along with him ending up with some random girl in the series finale without us knowing how he didn't screw up with her
Yeah, the contrast is crazy. In hindsight, I think it's because he realized that she was always there to support him, including on the times Mordecai wasn't or couldn't.
Rigby honestly had the BIGGEST and BEST character development. In fact, I think Eileen is the major reason he decided to become a better person. Seriously just props.
Honestly it does make a lot of sense for Rigby to have asked Eileen out in the way you suggested. I can imagine it perfectly just "hey you wanna date" "oh yeah sure" and then they just keep watching tv. Absolutely flawless
Young me watching early Regular Show: “Ugh, I wouldn’t want to date Eileen either.” Adult me rewatching Regular Show: “Rigby and my younger self are awful and don’t deserve her.”
@@ruintheday13Honestly when I was a kid I didn’t like Eileen but my dumb ass was just petty. Eileen was able to see something in Rigby that nobody else saw including himself!
@@allstar4065Not really. They could be prince and princess from different kingdom's/houses. Think of Prince Hamlet and Ophelia. It doesn't really imply incest bruh...
It's amazing that, somehow, even with how different Rigby and Eileen are, they always feel like they are on the same page. They just... GET each other. No drama, no complications, no fussing; they delivered the best by keeping it simple. Like Rigby trying to surprise Eileen by doing random things so she won't be able to guess beforehand what the special event he invited her to is. Or Eileen preparing a breakfast just how he likes it. Or Rigby helping her get over her fear of snow sledding. Rigby helped Eileen becoming more confident, Eileen helped Rigby in wanting to improve himself for his own sake, not just hers. They just brought the best in each other and I love it, they're really cute together!
Eileen hanging out more often with Mordo and Rigby and actually getting a bit of an arc isn't that surprising in hindsight since she's voiced by one of the wrtiers (and The Great North co-creator) Minty Lewis. She obviously surpervised in how she's written way better than Margeret and CJ, thus she's the best female character by DEFAULT.
Maybe but they also did the writing very well, so if you didnt tell this to someone, they wouldn't even know this was the case, the relationships felt very organic, there's no percieved forcefulness on her inclusion on the cast
RigbyxEileen & MusclemanxStarla were the healthiest relationships in the show, while Mordecai pretty much represented those who are usually the problem why their relationships don’t work out. He grew & learned from his past mistakes and eventually found the one he ends up with.
Yeah, the one hurdle M-man and M-woman had was her introduction episode, where she ditched him because he refused to share his vulnerability, which he did at the end by saying his real name. After that, smooth sailing, that one trial of showing he was willing to be real with her was all that was needed.
I feel like the Amazing World of Gumball is one of those few shows, where both the protaganists nail their own relationships through a steady and sweet progression. Gumball was never obnoxious with its couples unlike its counterparts being some of Adventure Time and Regular Show.
I kinda forgot about Gumball a couple years before it ended, but I always had a feeling Darwin and Carrie could be a thing. Glad it’s true, but I also love how she’s also great friends with Gumball too and there’s no weird drama.
The way CJ was more of a character than Margaret whose whole schtick was being the unavailable love interest and having that relationship love triangle bs get her shafted to a background character was a vile choice.
@tarotsushima3332 that made me really hate the ending. He was such a douche for doing that to CJ. And I argue with people that think CJ had problems and was abusive. Mordecai was such a spaz and it u could not defend his actions in the later seasons. He never grew and it is vile he never apologized. They just did CJ DIRTY and she deserved better. They at least did so for Marget but she didn't really deserve it. She was a hoe and had a good life. Her father loved her and was never horrible to her. CJ deserved a better ending then looking at a tv of them going to space and her saying meh and changing the channel.
Okay I absolutely hated how they did that. Cj was such a cool character but then they went down the whole love triangle route with mordecai… ugh that was the worst part of the series.
I'm surprised you never mentioned the episode "It's Time." I felt like that was the foundation of the entire thing as it proved that YES, Rigby CAN start dates if he wanted to, with asking Margaret to watch a movie with him. Granted, it was to spite Mordecai, but yeah he can do something Mordecai couldn't.
What? I feel like you're forgetting that Rigby literally tried to ruin every date Mordecai and Margaret ever had. Mordecai has literally started numerous dates with Margaret and Rigby always came to ruin it.
The whole reason Mordecai's relationships sucked was because of Rigby. Mordecai didn't have any confidence ever since he was supposedly declined from a college. He lost a ton of confidence from it and didn't want to have to go through that again.
@@ivygirl9119Tf? Nothing ever proved that. If Mordecai lost any sense of confidence in his whole being, he would never hit Rigby at punchies. And that time when hang out and studied with a girl st his house then his mom inadvertently embarrassed, should his mom be blamed for that by your logic?
@@memecliparchives2254 That's my guess, it makes sense tho. Plus this is a kid's cartoon, of course they're going to make it look like Rigby was right cuz all cartoon movies have to have good endings
i mean, i don't think he's making any sort of innuendo. She has an actual rock tumbler in the scene. There's even some already polished rocks next to it. Look up rock tumbling videos, it's actually crazy. They're hypnotizing.
before i even watch this, they had one of my favorite relationship developments in animation history. wasn’t forced. neither one tried too hard for the other. it just gradually happened season by season and we LOVED it
is it strange to feel like this ship feels somewhat inspiring? not even from an animation/comic standpoint but IRL? when i used to date i over think alot and if i go back to dating someday i dont want to overthink again yknow?, just shoot the shit.
@emmadilemma4177 You should, my most succesful relationship occured because I stopped trying so hard. I just found something funny and commented on it. Not saying throw yourself under the bus but if its who you are, an expression of your being. Go for it. I met my ex through a friend and in our first meet up, I found a detail about her cute but hilarious and roasted her. She roasted me back and we lasted a good while dating. You can only find your tribe if you flare the signal so to speak
Another note, Rigby becoming a more mature, dependable person, and how his life starts improving as a result, it triggers an ugly side in Mordecai and his friendship with Rigby that was hidden. Mordecai reveals with his behavior that he prefers their dynamic where Rigby is the screwup and Mordecai is the mature, dependable one who bails him out, and when Rigby transitions out of this dynamic, we see Mordecai become very resentful and jealous, especially when he starts making a mess of his own life. It shows that Mordecai is actually kind of a terrible friend and person, the kind that secretly hopes his friends fail so he feels better about himself. I don't think Mordecai even knew this part of himself and thankfully he does become aware of it, feels guilty about it, and puts in the work to change.
I mean Mordecai did punch a random stranger for no other reason than he could do. Mordicai was always a bad person and cringe it just become more noticeable in later seasons.
Rigby and Amethyst are two of the characters that grow SOOO much during their series I love it. Seteven even declares Amethyst "The most mature gem" close to the finale of the original series.
For a guy that summoned a Destroyer of Worlds, Learned Death Kwon Do over a video game, stole Benson's Good Luck, Paid someone to do his job, refused to clean his room, ate so much junk food his body quitted on him, cheated in a video game to make Mordecai blonde, bought juice to make him smarter, grilled hot dogs when he wasn't supposed to, made Mordecai do whatever the 10th Solid was, and forged Mordecai's rejection letter. He has a pretty good love life with Eileen.
To add to the list -did the greatest bank shot in ALL of history -unleashed a keeper of secret demon on them -Won a soul ball from death -looked death in the face and called him out on his bs -Trained Baby ducks -Gets eaten by his own creation -Beat the God of Basketball

I absolutely love Rigby and Eileen's relationship! Not only because it's literally the only stable and sane relationship in the entire Regular Show series but also because Rigby and Eileen are totes adorable together and because it played a huge part in Rigby's character development, I know it's obvious by now but it's also a fact when I say that dating Eileen somewhat changed Rigby for the better because I remember he became a better man and or friend in the later seasons of the show.
I mean Muscle man and starla are right there and is a very stable and healthy relationship personally i would say better if we had more time to see it outside of a few episodes .
The way it was revealed was great (I randomly think about it a lot and fun fact: I actually got my girlfriend to make matching bracelets for us because of that) but I really love how it started out one-sided then became a mutual friendship and then became a thing offscreen in the midst of Mordecai’s love troubles. Then Rigby started turning his life around thanks to Eileen. The things you do for love, man. They can be wild but also very beautiful.
The development that the characters in Regular Show go through is one of my favorite things to see while I'm rewatching. By the time you get halfway through the series, almost all of the main cast have changed in a way for the better. You know them differently compared to the people they were introduced as.
One of my favorite episodes was always the one where he wants to surprise her but shes so smart she keeps guessing the surprises, so he comes up with this insane kidnapping scheme all so that he could take her to see her favorite band. That took so much effort and he did it happily!! For her!! To surprise her!!
Rigby not only had one of the best character development in any show I watched, but Eileen is how people should write female characters. She just was herself, showed she was more than a nerd and was pretty cool, and helped Rigby become a better person. In the end, they ended up being two of the best characters in any modern cartoon
A video about Garnet from "Steven Universe" would be very interesting, since she is literally the physical manifestation of a couple that despite not appearing much in the series is one of my favorites.
Rigby used to be a terrible character when it came to moral ethics and holding responsibilities, but his development through the series really matured him and wisened him up to Insomniac Doc Ock levels of intelligence (I'll be happy if anyone understands why I said that lol). The only time Rigby acted terrible through his character growth was in the episode "Wall Buddy", which is one of the worst episodes of Regular Show tbh. Aside from that, he really did go through it all. Got the girl of his dreams, graduated high school, and got approval of his Father and Principal in earning their respect. W for Rigby honestly. Went from a lying, lazy, and petty friend (Watch the Regular Show Movie to see what I mean), to the opposite of all those things. I srsly can't say anything else, just a perfect redemption arc 😌👌.
I think this relationship was the most boring in the show. It was mostly background nose without much of a story to tell. This couple comes off as too perfect.
@@lesterwilliamsjr649 Nah. But they are a side couple. Most of their early issues are a result of Rigby being his messy self and on his path to becoming a more mature person is when they start becoming closer friends. Their relationship isn't highlighted as much because romantic issues aren't the heart of the storyline here. Rigby becoming mature is the focus, having a healthy relationship is a result, but it's not the main topic.
I guess it’s because rigby and eileens relationship is their true selves, whereas mordecai has to kinda pretend to be someone else to get girls attention since his true self is kinda terrible.
Rigby (and Jake to an extent) unironically helped me resize that this shit doesn’t need to be complicated Shows of that era fucking loved showing these unnecessarily complex love triangle/will they won’t they relationships Basically everyone fin dated and Mordecais whole “thing” But then there Rigby and Jake who had simple relationships where the backbone isn’t some profound event that makes all pieces fall into place It’s just a connection between two people that is magnified by the relationship they have together. It’s simple, reliable, and you know it when you see it
Stella and Eileen were the most consistently there female characters in the series. I'm so glad that Muscle Man and Rigby found those special someones and got married to them
It was so nuts to see my opinions of Mordecai & Rigby shift as the show progressed. And the more I saw of Rigby in the middle and apex of the show, the more I saw parts of myself in him. Self-doubt, abusive father, fear I'll never be as good as my more accomplished sibling, self-conscious about my flaws & worried they'll prevent me from finding love. Even in times when I do keep up with or even surpass my sibling, the doubt remains. Rigby knew he was the biggest jerk in the room for the early half of the show, but he also recognized that Eileen deserved better. So, Rigby grew up from tarring down others to his level to, instead, improve his foundation & build himself up to the level of those around him. Mordecai might have been the lesser of two screwups in the first half, but rather than addressing his own flaws, he felt he didn't have to change as long as Rigby was 'the real screwup' of the duo. And once Rigby actually started catching up, Mordecai, after standing still for so long, was ill-prepared to reach the pace Rigby had been building towards. Rigby helped me realize that in order for someone to be saved, they have to want to be saved. Rigby teaches us you can be more than your past mistakes. The scary thing about life is that there are some mistakes with irreversible consequences. The beautiful thing about life is that every step is a choice; as long as you are alive, you have the power to make the right choice. You can't expect forgiveness, nor can you change the past, but you can always change what you do with your next step.
I think that this is exactly what I want shows to do more of. My girlfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship and, unlike the long-distance relationships I had prior, we took it slow and we only pursued a romantic relationship when we had bonded over our interests. So when I did meet her IRL about one year after originally meeting her, we hit it off smooth!
These two are basically the kind of couple I wanted to see more of growing up while watching cartoons. The plot didn’t have to hit the breaks to make room for the romance, no stalling for really dumb reasons and no one really had to change their dynamic in a way that felt like the script changed. People are just dating and it’s not taking up the entirety of everyone’s time!
i agree we needed more shows to show what a healthy relationship is and what an unhealthy relationship is and we got both in RS. not to say mordicai didnt have a healthy relationship he did with CJ but he fucked that up nothing she did jsut him. we have rigby and eileen, muscle man and starla, hell skips and martha, high five ghost and his GF all have or (had in the case of skips) healthy fuctioning relationships hell even Mordicai if he just overall talked with cj about stuff would have had a very good relationship and him overcoming his doubts hell i thought the whole him getting his ass beat 3 different times episode jsut so she would talk to him again was about. but naw
I finally watched the show in order a while back and I couldn’t stand early Rigby sometimes. Watching him grow and seeing Eileen become such an amazing character on her own was amazing. Their relationship was such a natural addition that, even with it being framed as a shock, it made total sense and only benefited them both.
What I liked about Right and Eileen is that where Modecai gets worse thanks to his absolutely terrible choices regarding his love life, Right gets better as the man cleaned himself up to be the kind of person his girlfriend could introduce to her parents with a smile. She didn't force him to, he just did it because he wanted to improve for her, improve-not changed himself as Modecai would fake knowing french is he thought it would get him laid.
I wish there was more Rigleen fanfiction :') oh well. One of the best ships of all time, well done Regular Show! Meaningful development, and a very satisfying and wholesome relationship journey👏
This was meant to be a joke for a plot point for many episodes and yet they successfully made it lightly into an actual thing, honestly I’m absolutely astonished
I actually only watched Regular Show last year, as a 33 year old going on 34. Rigby literally is the reason I looked back at myself and said "I need to get my GED" and I did earlier this year. I just kept putting it off cause I had no issues with work, was working 3 years steady as a supervisor and felt no need but I did it. I'm glad I did it just feel stupid for waiting so long. I had to drop out of high school for personal family issues, but I'm glad I at least finally did it
I also loved and adored Eileens' down to earth naturey vibe due to her beaver implied traits !! As a dude with glasses and hearing Rigbys biggest secret was 'I THINK EILEEN'S HOT WITHOUT HER GLASSES' despite yknow phtsically needing glasses it was such a cute statement that I know other guys wouldnt ever say which made me cherish their relationship even more. Theyre so wholesome together over helping one another to support and care with many epispdes like Death Bear, Eileens T.V., or where they get trapped in the cave while rigby just stares to eileen the entire time ;;
Rigby and Elieen are so adorable together and I'm happy these two have a family in the future during the finale of Regular Show after the defeat of Anti Pops. I wish Mordecai and Margaret would be together in the future, they would have been if Mordecai didn't have any trouble expressing his true feelings to Margaret.💘💔
At least Mordecai is with Steff at the end of the series. Now I understand that she had very little screen time and only appeared in the finale, But the hate she gets from Mordecai x Margaret and Mordecai x CJ shippers is boarder line unfair.
Oooh, I was hoping we'd get to this one ever since his Mordecai/Margaret video and it did not disappoint 😌 Rigby & Eileen remains one of the best things about Regular Show. It's insane how much I hated Rigby's guts at the start of the show and now he's my favorite character with his development with Eileen playing a big part of that
Okay to play devils advocate for a second, I feel everybody has had a friend like Rigby, and after rewatching the series I found myself laughing out loud at some of his sarcastic remarks
That is often one of the biggest moments in a person’s life. When you stop doing things for the sake of others and finally do things for your own sake. Self improvement is difficult. It can be unforgiving in its trials and length. But at its end, for better or worse, we hope it brings us growth.
I literally rewatched your Regular Show shipping video on Mordicai the other day and I wonder when you were gonna cover Rigby and Eileen, I got my wish!!
When I first watched this show Rigby was the one that I always thought would be the screw up, which was the case in the early seasons, but he had most of the growth where Mordecai had barely any himself. With him turning out to be the one left behind and Rigby finally growing up, and with that I really respect Rigby as a character
I wish shows would show more couples like rigby and Elian cause a lot of people over complicate relationships and I feel like it’s cause of the media. And how relationships are depicted. All in all this relationship was sweet and great.
Why this couple works imo is literally cause they started as friends first and let the relationship grow I mean yeah obviously Eileen had a crush on Rigby first but she's smart, realized he wasn't emotionally mature or maybe honestly not into her and decided friendship was better in the long run. Which we see it is, as Rigby grows to like Eileen as a friend first and then a romantic partner second. Which honestly are the strongest relationships cause unlike Mordcai and Margret, Mordcai was so smitten by her, that while they did great as friends, he wanted it to be more so badly. Its why technically him and CJ worked slightly better as they started out as friends (more or less)
Eileen asking Rigby to come over cause she has a “rock polisher” is the equivalent of saying “Netflix and chill”… she got RIZZ 💀 the most chad thing I’ve heard her say, she’s just built different
I think without context this is pretty brutal. *What really happened* is that they had an altercation on top of a microwave that was flying through a void vortex thing. And once Mordecai got riled up enough, he pushed Rigby without thinking, which basically sent him into the vortex where he got dusted. Later on, he was willing to give up his life to get Rigby back, so just saying it the way you did makes him seem over the top evil. Keep in mind that there were multiple attempts by Rigby to ruin Mordecai's life and to keep him down to his level too. Let's not forget that they're both flawed asf characters, and that they both care for each other above all else throughout the series, regardless of what they did to each other.
I loved watching regular show growing up and listening to you talk about it the way you are is really making imagine, just wtf was going through the writers' minds when making it. Rgbe and ileen being an outwrite couple was a breath of fresh air in comparison to most of the ships in the show and ships in cartoon network shows in general.
I just finished this from beginning to end, and I gotta say, fam: Great mf job! This was a dope analysis, and I love the quips and sarcasm you had throughout the video. 🔥
Yeah I remember watching the more latest launched seasons (at the time) and enjoying Rigby a lot, his character became so decent that he became my favorite by the time the show ended.
I think the greatest thing Eileen ever gave to Rigby, was confidence in himself. Like, she helps him sure, but she always frames it in a way that, he's just as equally important to the solution like, if it were an equation, Eileen would explain literally everything to Rigby, but the answer, and leave Rigby the pieces for him to sort out, and then, ultimately, Rigby is the one who, makes it click and he feels, yes, Eileen helped, but, hey, he gets it, and he's actually capable of GETTING it Rigby was the worst cause he just, coasted through life with no expectations of him, but now Eileen actually, kicks his ass about to do shit, but like, makes it all Rigby's idea in a way. Eileen motivates him in everyway and thats the best part of their relationship, she makes him want to live (Also as a side note, will say, Rigby's "Gut feeling" being presented as, a neutral thing rather than bad, is also nice, since in a way, that's how Mordecai ended up with that bat chick. I think just, being friends with Rigby enough and having two relationships meltdown in front of him, he just, went "Fuck it, Rigby would probably just say go for it" and it actually paid off for him, which I think is very vindicating for Rigby)
This is the only video I've ever seen where someone is saying it's always Mordecai always getting shit but people give Rigby a pass. I've hardly ever actually seen anyone criticize Mordecai for always pinning his problems on others, always being lazy, and constantly encouraging his symbiotic relationship with Rigby
12:37 I feel like this was the main reason I remember this episode so fondly. Rigby doesn't try to change to impress Eileen, he just realizes that his pettiness and insecurities make him blind to all of the cool people in his life
At 9:19 shows that you don’t want a friend like Rigby because we found out oh Rigby threw Mords college acceptance letter in the trash dragging his friend down with him to only come out some what okay. While Mord had to go on a whim and make it through art.
Omfg sarcastic chorus I have been waiting so MF long for you to do this vid one the best couple in regular show staring my favorite characters seriously it's insane how Rigleen started to where they ended up so thank you for this. Easily one of the best ships in cartoons
I liked the progression of there relationship, it is understandable that Rigby didn't like her back, especially with her being very obnoxious when making it clear she liked him. But the moment she tones it back, and the two just getting to hang out casually as friends. Which allowed Rigby to start seeing just how amazing she is and that he does love her. It's so sweet watching the two get closer and seeing there love blossom together. He just needed someone who actually called him out while still supporting him throughout it. It shows a much better relationship where the two don't accidentally screw something up, or possibly if they do. Don't immediately give up and try to actually work through it together
Rigby managed to actually grow as a person where Mordecai kept repeating the same mistakes until the end of the show. It turns out that Rigby was the mature one the whole time.
The most beautiful successful accident was Rigby and Eileen trumping over Margaret and Mordecai and becoming the Endgame of Regular Show. I didn’t expect it, but I’m 100% impressed and I ship the heck out of them🥹♥️
I am saving to watch this at a later time since I am trying to finish the series. But overall I love how sincere their relationship is. It started with Rigby not being interested in her, then he learns about some cool skills and qualities Eileen has, and then eventually getting to a romantic phase. All this is done with a simping blue jay in the background.

Eileen hanging out more often with Mordo and Rigby and actually getting a bit of an arc isn't that surprising in hindsight since she's voiced by one of the wrtiers (and The Great North co-creator) Minty Lewis.

Getting rid of CJ was one of the dumbest mistakes the series made. But I guess they didn’t want to take the title of best girl away from Eileen.

Most of their early issues are a result of Rigby being his messy self and on his path to becoming a more mature person is when they start becoming closer friends.

Eileen was a true unsung hero in the show and she was a certified badass character who had a great arc of her own all the way through
I wish shows would show more couples like rigby and Elian cause a lot of people over complicate relationships and I feel like it’s cause of the media. And how relationships are depicted. All in all this relationship was sweet and great.
I love how Rigby improved his life because of Eileen and himself
Rigbys love life is remarkably good considering he died atleast 5 times during the shows run.
Rugby's character development was inspiring to me as a kid! 🥰
Why this couple works imo is literally cause they started as friends first and let the relationship grow
I mean yeah obviously Eileen had a crush on Rigby first but she's smart, realized he wasn't emotionally mature or maybe honestly not into her and decided friendship was better in the long run.
I doubt that's the secret given the other "friendships" covered on this channel.
Eileen asking Rigby to come over cause she has a “rock polisher” is the equivalent of saying “Netflix and chill”… she got RIZZ 💀 the most chad thing I’ve heard her say, she’s just built different
Just to prove how Mordecai was such a bad friend to Rigby, Mordecai LITERALLY KILLED HIM over a crush.
Rigby had his flaw being a bad friend too so
I think without context this is pretty brutal.

RIGBY LIVING THE DREAM
Yeah I remember watching the more latest launched seasons (at the time) and enjoying Rigby a lot, his character became so decent that he became my favorite by the time the show ended.
Eileen: ...Yeah, I can fix him
*Actually fix him*
Along with Rigby fixing himself too
I think the greatest thing Eileen ever gave to Rigby, was confidence in himself. Like, she helps him sure, but she always frames it in a way that, he's just as equally important to the solution
like, if it were an equation, Eileen would explain literally everything to Rigby, but the answer, and leave Rigby the pieces for him to sort out, and then, ultimately, Rigby is the one who, makes it click and he feels, yes, Eileen helped, but, hey, he gets it, and he's actually capable of GETTING it
Rigby was the worst cause he just, coasted through life with no expectations of him, but now Eileen actually, kicks his ass about to do shit, but like, makes it all Rigby's idea in a way.
Eileen motivates him in everyway and thats the best part of their relationship, she makes him want to live
(Also as a side note, will say, Rigby's "Gut feeling" being presented as, a neutral thing rather than bad, is also nice, since in a way, that's how Mordecai ended up with that bat chick. I think just, being friends with Rigby enough and having two relationships meltdown in front of him, he just, went "Fuck it, Rigby would probably just say go for it" and it actually paid off for him, which I think is very vindicating for Rigby)
The best bit about 1:54 is that having watched the show most of my childhood i thought it was serious
God i need to rewatch this series. Rigby's growth and relation to Eileen is awesome
One of my favorite cartoon couples of all time, glad you ended up doing a video on them!
This is the earliest Sarcastic Chorus video I've been to ANYWAYS RIGLEEN 🔛🔝‼️‼️‼️
Their relationship is better than most real relationships.
Omfg sarcastic chorus I have been waiting so MF long for you to do this vid one the best couple in regular show staring my favorite characters seriously it's insane how Rigleen started to where they ended up so thank you for this. Easily one of the best ships in cartoons
This is the best relationship I’ve ever seen in a cartoon
Thank you for remembering TMNT 2012. Can't wait to finish the video, you clearly have impeccable taste
Rigby on the phone: sorry dude I'm doing something important
Eileen: I found the movie
Mordecai: Are you at Eileen's!?
Rigby: I SAID ITS IMPORTANT
The most beautiful successful accident was Rigby and Eileen trumping over Margaret and Mordecai and becoming the Endgame of Regular Show. I didn’t expect it, but I’m 100% impressed and I ship the heck out of them🥹♥️
The cutaway to Miraculous to call out the overcomplicated romance trope taking over a show 💀
I am saving to watch this at a later time since I am trying to finish the series. But overall I love how sincere their relationship is. It started with Rigby not being interested in her, then he learns about some cool skills and qualities Eileen has, and then eventually getting to a romantic phase. All this is done with a simping blue jay in the background.
