    Speaking of Denver, it was always a gas watching the terror on the newbies' faces when we'd "drop" into old Stapleton and they realized a properly tightened seat belt was needed to prevent you from tumbling out of your seat and smacking your head on the seat back in front of you...

    A little more info on the KC-135 with N-registration N571MA: Meta Strategic Mobility's KC-135R, N571MA (c/n 18232, l/n 547), This former Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Stratotanker .
    18232's History:
    Oct 1962: Delivered to the US Air Force as a KC-135A, registered as 61-0325.
    Dec 1997: Re-engined with CFM56-2Bs, and re-designated as a KC-135R.
    Jan 2001: Delivered to the Republic of Singapore Air Force as 751.
    Sep 2019: Retired by the RSAF.
    Sep 2020: Acquired by the Wilmington Trust Company for Meta Aerospace as N571MA.
    Notice that it also had refueling pods on the wing tips, this is not common for USAF KC-135s.

      My retired USAF KC135 crew chief just told me today about Singapore selling them. He is not familiar with the call sign Swift Air from a few days ago. The must be associated with the Marine training jets also in TPA. Captain, do you know who Swift is and where they’re from?

    The LEAP1B's really are quiet but they take FOREVAH to get started and then have a 3 minute minimum warm up time vs the 2 min NG's. So sometimes if they're close to the 3 mins but not quite there they'll accept a TO clearance while they're waiting the final few seconds. That may have been what was going on with the MAX crew. Plus a lot of times on a crowded ramp, MAX crews will taxi out on 1 engine just to get out of everyone's way on the ramp. So with a relatively short taxi like to 1R, it can be a challenge to get the 3 mins without clogging up the traffic flow.

    It's either an MSM, or OAR bird; probably an MSM aircraft, as they won the federal contract to operate much of the Navy's refueling ops this past summer. They're beginning to integrate the BAC Pegasus Tankers as we speak, likely delayed because of that pi**ing contest with Airbus - many years back.

    Dear Captain: Great video... Just try to every now and then do some close-up shots especially when you have a jet waiting for clearance to take-off at 1R 19h; well, I forget now the take-off/Landing track designation, but you can refer to it at the beginning of the video with the 1st Southwest waiting for clearance. It was the perfect moment to make a close-up shot and you missed it. You have a beautiful chance to do close-up shots that make the video more interesting and exciting. Another example is when you got the military small jet landing you could've made another close shot of the Cockpit area as it was passing you by right in front of you. Otherwise, it is monotonous, repetitive, and eventually boring. Also remember my suggestion of asking permission to interview pilots, flight attendants, and crew mechanics. They will love to share amazing stories and anecdotes that you can insert little by little in your videos and make them more entertaining. For instance, Jebb Brooks who also is into aviation videos sat down with the President of Jet-Blue and chat for a fifteen-minute conversation... It was there that I learned that the President of Jet Blue love dearly the Boeing 777 (the one you call "Rocketship). You are a classy guy and I am sure they all be delighted to meet with you and share interesting stories and anecdotes. Well, this idea is my Christmas gift to you and my way to say thank you for all the videos you have done for us; some of them under tough circumstances like heavy rain or very hot days. Thank you with all my heart and May G_d bless you and your family abundantly and specially during Christmas time. Thank you for everything!!!

    • @Panzer-535
      @Panzer-535 2 роки тому

      they do, there are variants of the Hawk that can carry weapons. the Hawk 50 and Hawk 60 models can be used as light attackers. i believe some air forces use Hawks for COIN operations. the US inventory has better suited airframes for CAS, so T-45s are only used as trainers
