I usually watch your videos on my phone in the evening today I watch them on my TV with UA-cam holy cow I've been missing out great experience thanks Steve
Avelo I've only ever seen West Coast--California. They were supposed to add smaller regional airports in the Southwest (like ours SGU) last October and nothing has come of it yet.
I flew Avelo when I went to CA (flew Delta to SFO in the A330-3M3 right after you left SFO. I flew out of LAX on Delta. I needed to get from San Fran to LA and booked a trip on Avelo out of Santa Rosa. Avelo - great airline!!
@@CaptainStevenMarkovich Hi There Capt! The A330 was awesome. Sat in seat 53A. Taking off from “ATL, The World’s busiest Hartsfield Maynard Jackson INTERnational Airport” made it even better!!! 😆 did I get the name sequence correct!!??
I love the 777 - They are a beautiful aircraft. I live in Ocala and that store system was intense. Thank you for content as always it really is fun to watch.
Was visiting Florida back in March and took my son spotting at TPA. Looked at west side and there were planes parked all over the taxiway. Heard the pilots complaining that they were there for 1 hour and needed to shut down engines to save fuel. ATC only would say FAA shut down airport, arrivals only, but no departures. Went to east side and there was the Vice Presidents 757. Never seen an airport turn into such a large parking lot before.
Great job reporting from the surface of the sun on this one Captain Steve. It’s also a great shot at the end showing just how big a 777-300 is when it makes the 767 Look small!
OMG what a nightmare. Hello Captain: Excellent video. Years ago I worked at MKE and when ORD had WX problems we would get 20 to 30 diversions per eight hour shift. We had 15-20 Greyhound buses ordered to transport everyone back to ORD via bus...It is only 72 miles, usually 90 min ride...But such a nightmare; I got chills watching this video. Bad memories. Great video.
Weather in South Georgia very heavy thunderstorms all the way north to just south of ATL. Reroute to everything headed north. Cargo flights can go because cargo doesn’t complain.
I flew into Tampa in 68, got off the plane & walked down the steps right into the heat.It was mostly outdoors like a train station. The 757 rocket ship is cool but I'm waiting for my favorite the triple 7!
Well, that was exciting!! All the stoppage and the diversions!! So very cool to see the Speedbird BA B777 and the Emirates B777!! Great one Captain -- although I'm sure you didn't really have any idea today was going to turn out like this! Gorgeous as usual! Hope you didn't melt too much! Go get yourself a cold one!! Thanks for the spectacular, unusual day!! 💕✈✈💕
I remember when in the early 90's when in philly during a union drive for the ramp I could walk between the front and back threw a hole for the baggage right to the break rooms for ramp agents. I was a union organizer and could walk onto the ramp no questions asked. Most employees knew me from being at the airport everyday for 6 months. It was USair .
Comforting to know FAA will stop flights if storms are getting dangerous but a headache for airlines and passengers. Never liked thunderstorms or snow when having to fly. Sweet to see Emirates. Try and stay cool living in southeast can be brutal..
Hey Captain, I’m flying into Tampa at around 10Am on the 30Th of June, I’ll be on a JetBlue flight coming south out of Bradley international, any Chance you can catch it coming in?
Awesome video! Question, when diversions occur as they did in this video, are the airlines under any obligation to get passengers to their final destinations, or are they pretty much on their own?
Good answer by viewer they typically wait maybe refuel and on their way again. Sometimes crews timeout etc. When its weather airlines aren't held responsible.
@@CaptainStevenMarkovich yeah man just wanted to emphasize how cool of a day that was, I'm just visiting here so it seems lucky. I took a short video before they took off I'll post it
Typical BA triple with dirty flaps. Especially on a 22 year old plane. Those planes fly so much that maintenance doesn't have time to give those birds a bath. Speedbird is a reference to the logo first used by British Airways' predecessor airline Imperial Airways, in 1932 then when BOAC and BEA merged in the mid 70's to become British Airways.

Thanks for hangin’ around in the heat and get the Emirates plane as a great finale! The Speed bird was pretty cool to see land also.

Love the show, Tampa International the best I ever flew out of😎
Banking out over the causeway is beautiful.

Wow, that’s a bunch of planes at TPA! Love it! Sure would hate to be waiting in one of those planes. Thanks for the great video Capt. Steven!

gotta love ground stops
Great spotting for us but bad for passengers and sir you crack me up 😂
Yes well said it stinks sitting even worse if you know you will miss your connection

Hi Albert. Great story thanks for sharing
Great plane spotting!!, you should to do a cargo plane montage of all cargo flights landing and take off at TPAAAA!
Very good idea Thanks!
Weather in South Georgia very heavy thunderstorms all the way north to just south of ATL. Reroute to everything headed north. Cargo flights can go because cargo doesn’t complain.
I am in Augusta, GA and I just looked at radar for the entire state and I see no band of thundershowers anywhere????
The flights from MCO need gas from circling MCO. They should get gas and join the Q to return to MCO. FBO will be VERY VERY busy.

Awesome video! I monitor TPA 119.500 nearly every day. You have an excellent view of the runway. Where exactly is your vantage point?
Hi. Commonly I use the parking garages. I also have a handful of other spots I’ve learned over the years
@@CaptainStevenMarkovich thanks, I’ll need to explore it!
Fantastic Video Captain. Good job. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Very educational today!! You never know how it goes.
13:15 did you know that grey foxes can retract their claws like cats do
I saw the video with Verstappen's mini tri holer and you sir, are 1000% correct, it is drop dead gorgeous.
Id like to see it in person!
20:20 Amazing bird!
Roger that!
I was dying at the first plane arriving and your jumbled up ATL description 😂😂😂😂
Interesting turn of events at TPA! Nice also to see Avelo 21:38 and Emirates 32:58 🛫

that gulfstream is beautiful
" I think I'm medicated today>>>>" LOLOLOLOL I'd like to be.
What is reason for holding these flights and nit them take off???
What app do you use to get your flight information and to hear the tower? Because you provide us with great details every video…keep them coming!!
Hi Ethan. I use a Bearcat 30 scanner and the Flightradar24 app. Excellent tools
Good afternoon Captain. Do ever see Air Canada Rouge flights going in/out from TPA?
Yes they are regulars there
What is round on the ends and high in the middle ??----O --hi--o !!

Yep but thinking of new ones and ideas who they should be?
Why is Jacksonville speaking for Tampa instead of Tpa speaking for themselves?
Jacksonville ATC controls all the flights I’m ams out of Florida
Heavy’s and a parking lot! 😂
Why is everything stopped?
ATC ground halt

Wow! Nothing worse than being stuck in a cramped economy seat on a plane that’s not moving! I can’t imagine 40 minutes
That would be a nightmare
Or coming back to ATLANTA untimely soon
Hi Nigel. We don’t have ATL on calendar for 2023. Last several trips the hotel there overlooking the runways was a bad experience.
Avelo is Southwest Airlines wannabes lol. They just started flying out of my home airport Spokane WA to Burbank CA.
Thanks I had no clue great info

No way I should have waited
