Another drive home in a bargain vehicle that is in sketchy condition hoping you get to a gas station and the parts store. AAR at it's finest. I think that truck is a great buy no matter where you live and a real bargain in a lot of places.

Yeah he's lucky that back brake did not burst into flames because with the heat and that brake fluid being highly flammable it could of been real bad I know people who had that happen to them the brake fluid got on the hot brakes burst into flames and by the time the fire trucks come the cars were gone up in flames but I'm sure he will learn one day but he's real lucky it did not happen with that truck.

Ran pretty well for a truck that's been sitting for 6+ years with 6 year old gas in it! .....with it being that low on coolant it has to have a leak somewhere usually the ones I buy that's out or extremely low on coolant always has a leak or ends up having bad gaskets/ burns coolant

Ram is notorious for belt squeal, it's pulley alignment, get some Mother's leather conditioner and soak the belt it will stop the squeal. ABS problem could be the module on the passenger side fender, I don't think 99 ram has wheel speed sensors, I believe it's on the rear axle pumpkin.

I would remove and clean the IAC motor on the back of the throttle body, then reset the adaptive memory (Autel should be able to do it) or just go drive it around. Good chance that fixes the stalling.

Great truck you saved. Just fix the minor stuff and of course a set of Flowmasters lol you know you want to do that. Not sure you even need to paint it. As far as the fees, everyone has to get used to the high cost of living now as over the last year things have gone way up. Lumber, gas, groceries, etc, etc. You can't expect the Govt to spend 5.1 trillion dollars in 1 year on one issue (Covid) and still spend on all the normal issues we have a a society and not have some backlash. That backlash will be inflation. The fees, well everyone has to live. Just make sure you own real assets (Real Estate), equities and a few metals.

Those 2nd gen are really nice, got one for $600 around June, all I needed was to replace the crankshaft sensor and it was running like new besides shifting issues.

Careful starting that thing with gas because my 97 ram with 5.9 had the same engine problem as yours and it caught on fire because I hit the gas 😔

Randy,if you'll run them tires at 12 to 15 lbs air pressure for a few miles, you might work the flat spots out. Worst case you'll have less bobble driving it.

Loved the video man. I am looking forward to seeing how this truck turns out and definitely keep it red and replace those nasty rims.

Please clean it before deciding on paint job. I had the same truck but a 1997. It had Flowmasters and sounded great. 151,000 miles, cost 1995.00 in 2006. Had to replace radiator and tires. It was a good truck and pulled riding mowers really well. Lawn business went south had to sell her. Dangit.

I have a 2001, so I know you're going to have to spend about 400 to replace the dashboard.
