What Does IP Rating Mean
Amazing work!
I rode my first scooter in moderate rain. Brake switch stopped working (switch that turns on the brake light and cuts cruise control off). I found out the hard way when I pressed the brake and the motor kept pushing 😂😂. Not sure if that was caused by water. Everything else was working. However, the board started making creaking and cracking noises. So my take on scooters and rain is electric and water don’t mix well.
From my personal experience I would suggest avoiding the P-series Segway scooters until they have the problems worked out. Luckily I was able to return mine.
Hi Nic...small correction: the Vig Yrsa has an IP68 rating on the battery and controller (a self-contained, removable module). The rest is correct: IP67 on display and turn signals, IP55 on brakes and hub motor. Great vid though!
I appreciate the correction!
