I respect Birdy so much. She's by far the most talented singer I've heard and she sings with her heart and not for fame. I love that she's always remained discreet and very humble over the years. We need more artists like her.

I was thinking "It would be a dream for another artist to NOT screw up someone else's song when preforming it," but obviously it's not a dream. I love this.
This is giving me goosebumps and i rarely get goosebumps over songs.
I love it.
It is rare finding someone who can truly sing one of Ed’s songs. Ed’s voice and touch are inimitable and most of the covers I hear are terrible. But Birdy... Birdy truly took it to another level. She reinterpreted the song, singing in a pure and, at the same moment, passionate way that no one but her could have afforded. I love this cover as much as the original.
It honestly seems too theatrical to me. She also keeps on repeating the same 📈📈📉📉📈📉📈📉 circle again and again, which makes it seem even more fake-dramatic.
By no means do I hate this or those who listen to this ❤️
But I just find Ed's version (which btw is one of my favourite songs) to be much better personally :D

No, every song she touched was impeccably chosen, possibly by her, possibly someone else. You will search hard to find many artists capable of such exquisite music, writing or delivery. Both Ed and Birdy are top drawer. You can't beat a ballad in a minor key, they know that and most of us do too ;)

Man, I love this version. She sounds so young but with that special quality. Now she's matured a lot but back then you can still hear that youthfullness. Somehow it makes it more special. such a voice at that age kina thing.

This reminds me of a certain Eva Cassidy singing Stings "Fields of gold" and doing it with a heavenly voice and adding a whole new dimension to it. Birdie does exactly the same here giving the song a whole new life. Eva would always make this man cry and Birdie gets me every time with this rendition.
