Found this channel buried ! Good stuff, subbed. Breath of fresh air demonstrating not everything is e-waste and Xeons are super bang for the buck. Still cracking up at the term " Stutternite"

Yup. Love pairing this CPU in budget builds with 1660 and RX580

It's an even better value on boards that support multi-core enhancement, whether natively or through the BIOS hack. However, these days the 2640v3 is probably an even better proposition.

Cpu can turbo unlock for 3.2 ghz all cores on Chinese motherboard and official x99 not sure about server motherboards

There are apparently BIOS mods for some of the OEM workstations, but they require a USB EEPROM flash tool. And because any level of BIOS flashing is something not everyone is comfortable with, I try to avoid it in these CPU tests -- which I need to get back to -- just so that they serve as like a demonstration of lowest common denominator performance.

    What's better for Fortnite
    E5-1650v3 or e5-2680v3?

@@Ramble1234 Almost definitely 1650 v3, even if you use multicore enhancement on the 2680 v3. The minimum all-core turbo speed on the 1650 v3 is 200MHz higher than the fastest possible all-core turbo on the 2680 v3, and even DX12 Fortnite doesn’t really scale much beyond 6 cores.

      I’ve used the 1650 v3 vs the 2640 v3, 2650 v3 and 2660 v3; the 1650 is the better chip.

With the RX 5700, it becomes the limiting factor in most games.
Unfortunately, I can't use too many GPUs more powerful for some of these older CPUs due to the requirement for UEFI boot. So like X58 doesn't boot most RX 6000 or Nvidia RTX 3000, apart from one specific board from I think Asus...which I don't have.
Frankly, I'm amazed the 5700 booted with two of the three CPUs I've gotten around to so far. And it kinda works with the theme of budget gaming via old hardware, now that the 5700 is a ~$120 GPU.
