Listening to the descriptions it would seem that there is nothing positive to highlight about Ti, and that is not the case.
Ti represents the search for the absolute truth that moves all things.
Even going beyond what the obvious reality shows.
And how can you search for what reality hides, if it is not always evident?
That's where Ti enters the speculative realm.
That is why Ti represents a subjective experience.
But Ti does not evade reality, Ti seeks to go beyond reality.
It's no coincidence that so many great scientists and philosophers have Ti as their dominant function. 😀

Dang...really relatable. To sum it up, Jung is just explaining the rigidity of Ti's subjective principles the "computer program" (which in turn could be objective but subjective as in pointing towards the subject as I'll get into later), how Ti processes like some kind of untranslatable code of 01010110 in the computer program, complexity of its understanding due to its nature to create a program on its own and not follow suite of the objective programs outside, and the consequences of continuously being highly critical of the knowledge it tries to be. And to its detriment, it's highly taken advantage of in society at the mere fact Ti can always easily be disposed as "too unfathomable to understand" and how Ti fails to look outside on some of the most basic premises (hence explaining how Fe users or even Te users can smoke Ti users by gaslighting them).
The problem of Ti is objectivity and subjectivity. Ti is a function that somewhat tries to be objective (probably with the help of Ne or Se) but it fails to naturally understand that its interpreting the object internally so they can make sense of the topic at hand FIRST (hence the "subjective" part). Thats the key, Ti on its own CANNOT UNDERSTAND THINGS unless the info has been verified logically on their own instead of just leaving the ideas as it is!
Think of it as anyone talking to a Ti user, you're talking to them in 0101101 codes. Although you arent actually, in fact, you're the normal one here talking English. The Ti user is the one interpreting the info as such thats its "01010010" of its inherent skepticism (due to the lack of objective understanding) hence they have to verify that code and translate it in the way they understand it (and hopefully others will). However the lack of Fe will be clear when they cant translate that information into a normal language based on the culture, era or the typical individual way of speaking. The lack of Te is clear when they use definitions in contrast to the standard ones to describe things.
Ti's initial foundation of outside info is skepticism since it naturally already has its own principles, its like an offense to accept others principles that easily until they loosen their guards bcuz Fe people value them as well. The Ti user may not like it but they will succumb if no one values their perspective to establish a connection, even if SUPER WEAK! Which in turn is the part of the manipulators exploitation possibility by spewing low-end Te info (and surprisingly, they dont verify that themselves its BS the one time they should) once you gained their Ti-Fe credibility approval run by a "precision test" (trust, most likely using accuracy as the means).
But that can gradually changed if people allow the Ti user to pursue their ideas, after all, it would try to improve their current set of principles by tweaking them. The clearest way to differentiate a Ti and Te user is often by what you understand. It's truly hard to understand a Ti user's principle with no analogies (Ne) or any context (Se) because Ti doesnt make any efforts to simplify the principle itself, it tries to simplify the arguments of the principle so that you can understand the principle (with the help of Ne/Se). A Te user on the other hand is the reverse. The system/application is
so simple since the system was design to simplify the use of the principles. Their complication is something like in the terms and conditions or facts they have rigorously organized to arrive at that point (Si) or arrive at the point of a narrow-down concept to solving a meaning of a complexing puzzle (Ni).
Mind you, I didnt even get into Fi and I may finally with a short summary to interpret Ti's connection with the other judgment functions
Fe - A buggy code (a pun with Fe being the inferior function)
Te - A potential virus (a pun with Te being the "Nemesis" function)
Fi - An error code and always an error code, no puns whatsoever
A whole other code to solve (possible but hard).
Side note: I did want to comment on the Te video, but the excerpt was so Te, I think it was fitting not to do so and understand that info "as it is"! It was kind of weird!

Would you say that Ti lack of understanding of the object is why it returns to the subject? Even when it sees what an objective definition of a system or something is, it can't help but translate it into a way it understands it. It ends up presenting something different from the concensus which makes Ti to look like it is original where as it is actually a twist of what of the object to the understanding of the subject

    • @RlyOverBored
      @RlyOverBored 10 місяців тому

@@darth_santos1137 Yeah basically! Hence, Ti "principles" (not all of them are true and some are reasonable to apply in a specific situation or individual). Particularly for INTPs, Ti-Ne wants to see every angle possible! So even if its objective, u just want to squeeze every bit of info and meaning possible out of it to get a broad scope of a specific thing to note it in Si detail. In that sense, Ne or Se external observations are somewhat the counter to staying objective.

This description fits me all too well. Just as well, really, as the Introverted Intuition one does. I sometimes wonder when reading or listening to things like this that maybe the MBTI model really only fits neurotypical people. It is perhaps possible that there are neurodiverse people who are introverted or extroverted in each of the categories: Intuiting, Sensing, Thinking, Feeling, Judging and Perceiving rather than the MBTI model's rule of alternating extroversion and introversion of them.
Could it be possible to have a neurodiverse person, an autistic for example, to have both Ni and Ti as dominants? Possibly to even be introverted in every way, both dominant and subordinate categories? If so, it would explain why some people are so difficult to type. They don't fit the usual model of human personality.

I don't know why but I can't decode it, I've never been able to understand introverted thinking. The previous video made it easier for me because I share (own) those experiences to a good degree.
Introverted intuition was also difficult for me, but this is closer (my dominant function), I perceive it as a state of abstraction, of being absorbed (an impasse, without even thinking), simulating scenarios and conversations, and finding similar situations: like when someone (or I) imitates another "unconsciously" I realize or think a music with words or meaning to what was said casually. I have seen INTP and ENTP and I like how they think and analyze but I am not able to discern, see the rules and how IT works (intuitively).😕

Everything breaks down to their core and principles for the Ti.
For the Ti, information is to be doubted. Not accepted as it is. And what is the best way to look at doubtful information? Analysis and breakdown of every information to its core and realising why it is the way it is. How it would exist or make sense. Why would it exist or make sense. It depends on the Ti type how deep you go.
For descartes the value of Ti went as far as existential questions. Everything has the potential to be wrong in some way or another if we consider things in certain perspective(Ne). So what can I ascertain? I can ascertain that I am conscious. Now no matter what potential I consider. Am I in a computer generated world? Am I dreaming? Am I existing? Am I not a human? Am I a robot? Am I in ruminating in a spell from a witch? No matter what is happening, at least I can tell I'm conscious, for I am thinking. And if I'm thinking I consciously take on this act under my will. For this will comes from my conscious mind. Is it a spirit? Is it mind? Is it brain? Whatever it is, I know I'm conscious because I'm thinking consciously. If I wasn't conscious I wouldn't be able to think. Hence "I think therefore I am". A principle derived through rigorous analysis and breakdown of information(Ti) looking at every potential points that might break down the principle(Ne).
The Ti breaks things down to their components and parts. Now they're not incompetent of expansion. Ti seems like it only simplifies data. But no, it's secondary function is an explorer function(Ne/Se) that gives them the capability of exploring what there is and what there isn't. And consider those datasets in his analysis.

    • @InternetLiJo
      @InternetLiJo  Рік тому

What do you mean by solution? What are you looking to solve in regards to the function? Functions aren't things to be solved, they are just a directional preference in how our brains compute information. The problem can be, that people will be inflexible in those preferences which over time leads to imbalance vs having a more fluid and accepting position understanding the mind is inherently biased.

Don't mean to talk about myself; I have suffered Psychosis and when reading about introverted thinking it says when they become unhealthy they can develop psychosis, unless I haven't understood this correctly. I have asked a Psychiatrist who claims Psychosis is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, but I think there is more to it as in the Psychological function indicates Introverted Thinkers become detached from the practical(business) world they become high strung and intense. Introverted thinkers become fearful of aggressions and the antagonistic forces that seem to be arrayed against them. Is it because Psychologically speaking the Introverted Thinker is subjectively interpreting the motivations of others? Why does an INTP use introverted thinking in the first place if it's subjective and it's going to cause them psychosis, when instead they should be focused on using deductive(extroverted thinking) logic that has priorities, time management and leads to some practical result? Pychosis is the problem I am trying to solve. I think it can also be balanced out when the INTP uses extraverted feeling, by showing his/her emotions or genuine caring towards others.
If the introverted thinker goes backwards in sequence in the enneagram he/she learns that extroverted sensing and then extroverted thinking come next Ti -> Se -> Te, but in reality the introverted thinker needs to see the world as Te -> Se -> Ti, using extroverted thinking and extroverted sensing in it's most simple form an INTP would need external organization, time management and working memory(Extroverted Thinking) and to focus on finishing most things they start(Extroverted Sensing). The introverted thinker is subjective because he bases his/her logic on inductive reasoning which is about probability rather than certainty(extroverted thinking).
According to lenore thompson Extroverted Thinking and Extroverted Sensing are the 2 halves of the frontal lobes, Extroverted Thinking being frontal left and Extroverted Sensing being frontal right. The INTP is missing those 2 frontal lobe functions. I see the INTJ/ENTJ as the other half of the INTP, both complete one another, maybe I am wrong! @@InternetLiJo

@@warrenlansdown8129 You're thinking about this in an extroverted thinking viewpoint.
Intp doesn't base on probability but certainty. And Te leads you the information for external data not the certainty of them. The only certainty you get from Te is that these datasets exist out there. What for Ti, they need to ascertain the truth, validity, potential, usage so on and so forth of the datasets to their very depth to understand their principles, why these datasets are there, how they got there, if there are better ways etc.
INTPs do it too theoretically. They consider every potential and viewpoint (Ne) to understand datasets. And then use those as tools to ascertain certainties of what is there and what isn't. They look into how things are in their constituents.
Take for example if a child heard about school for the first time, they would question what is it. After they know what it is they will question it's value and importance, why is it there so on and so forth. And they arrive at a conclusion in the end. According to their intents.
