For an intp it is a bit difficult to separate Ti and Ne. Because the immense Ti puzzles we build in our head often rely on possibilities created by Ne. Meaning some parts of the puzzle are purely speculative and are waiting to get enough data to confirm them and them have them checked by ti, over and over.
I feel the way about my Ni-Ti
agree Ti and Ne get very intertwined and actually for me could change function locations, ie Ne Dom Ti secondary or equals.
its how divergent and convergent thinking work in paralell, Ne generates ideas while Ti rectifies a logical representation of it in accordance to the ideas, or rejects it entirely. thats why ENTPs seem to have a much better grasp on things than INTPs after very little time

Ti asks why. This caught my attention straight away. I feel as if I’ve just always learned a bit randomly. If for example there is a subject that has captured my interest I don’t go read all the books on the subject. That would be like looking at a structure from only one perspective or maybe a few different ones that the experts deemed the most important or worthy of sharing. Instead I might do some reading on the subject, get a feel for it, and then let EVERYTHING else… even if seemingly unrelated… bring me a connection, an insight… and in this way I feel I must ask why even if it seems unnecessary. Why’s and how’s ALWAYS lead to connections. The subjects I have an interest in have a way of just living somewhere near the front of my mind and the missing bits, additional info, insight, perspective is all sort of attracted by simply keeping an open mind to everything. There’s associations everywhere I think. I suppose it’s unending which is why we live in our heads 😬

ISFJ here and that makes so much sense now! Growing up I would love to take apart things and understand their inner workings. I love taking something complex and breaking it down to it's minimum value. It's one of my favorite things to do, even as an adult.
2:46 so accurate. Before I learned about MBTI I already had many classifications which helped me make sense of people and be productive in my communication with them. They were of course not as accurate as any existing system so when I learned more about MBTI everything made even more sense which was amazing - ISTP

It's really cool that you explained Ti by using chords as an example. I taught myself how to play the guitar and it was figuring out the scales, how they work, how different notes combine chords, etc. that I always found most interesting and I enjoyed figuring that out on my own. Music tends to be stereotypically connected with Fi doms since people think about it from the pov of expressing your emotions through it. But as a (probable) Ti user and a fan of music, I find the technical aspect of writing music very compelling. I love breaking down a piece, identifying harmonies, seeing how they work together and looking for all the clever ways of how a music piece is made to work - nothing is random, there's a theory and underlying principles to everything.

I enjoy exactly the same thing. I purposely avoided knowing any music theory for long because I was afraid that it would ruin the fun part about it (figuring out the structure of music, the journey). I agree that music is often music is associated with Fi, but I do wonder if the people who are interested in composing music that are not quite often thinkers too, since it's quite a logical subject in the end. The part of writing lyrics might be more Fi or Fe, but the composing part of music might be more Ti or Te about it.

The better word for “rules” would be premisses, the premise is usually “if this is true” and it’s followed by “than that is true or false” and it is only true if it doesn’t contradict the premise stated, for example: if 2x-1= 3, the premise, then x is 2, because if it is not, it contradicts the premisse
i am an infp doing a physics degree and my significant other, an intp, sometimes explains random physics, usually mechanical, occurrences that i have learnt whilst doing a DEGREE. Bare in mind, he hasnt done any physics/maths since he was 16. The Ti is strong with this one.

He sounds like my father(INTP) , they never want to stop learning. Very similar to INTJs. It will be interesting if/when you have kids down the road to see what types they will be.
I'm an ESFJ and after feeling some emotions I like to reconstruct them to understand why and how exactly these emotions and reactions came to a certain external situation. Now I get it, thank you so much for the video!
Very good explanation.. As an intp I indeed have constructed a very individual framework of the outside world which makes most sense to me but doesn't align with most peoples perception of reality.. I do feel lonely and misunderstood a lot haha BUT it's totally worth it because my point is things most people believe in is often times deceptive and inaccurate

@@Mr-xf9me The biggest deception of all is about health and nutrition. I healed my depression, low self esteem and social anxiety by switching my diet to raw meat, organs, milk and eggs exclusively. Things that according to WHO you're supposed to eat cooked and in moderation. Look up sv3rige on youtube if you're interested in that. Very hard to find the right information but if you're open minded and try things out for yourself you will find some truth eventually

As an INFJ I do agree with this vid completely, the little bit of info I'm missing is the interaction between Ni and Ti, as they are both about narrowing down something to its core, and I'm not sure when I do the Ni narrowing down and when is it Ti, what I do know is that wanting to understand something "even if it seemingly doesn't have a benefit" is very true, as the understanding itself is a reward, I suppose Ti is one of the most curiosity-driven functions, aka curious people who have Ti use it to a much greater degree than other people without as much curiosity. I'm a very curious person, and I completely agree that INFJ's Ti is underrated, I almost mistyped as an INTJ at one of the MBTI tests I took, as I kinda got out of the habit of using Fe due to the lockdown, it really seems like "I've become a thinker" over time, but really I was just left in a Ni-Ti loop for a good while, I can tell the unhealthy results of it and I don't recommend it, I've become more of an asshole... but now I even more clearly see the usefulness of Ti when it comes to satisfying curiosity and "making things make sense in a way that lets others understand it too".
For me Fe started to seem like an unhelpful function so I intentionally shut it out. I don't get any benefit in life by having Fe. I can't really imagine myself getting out of this Ni-Ti loop since I have more clarity with this mindset. It's also super depressing for me, but I feel like my brain is stuck here.
@@spring7643 Well, you kinda screwed yourself over a lot if you think Fe is useless, as it's in fact one of the most useful functions especially to an INFJ, it's just different from thinking or intuition in a sense that, well, you "feel it more", both negative and positive, Fe can be annoying as hecc only if someone has no idea how to use it, but if you realize a few things and understand what it's for, it's really invalueable.

What helps INFJ in an Ni-Ti loop is learning new information, what it means and how they could use it to expand their Ni vision (harmony, peace). Fe and absorbing positive energy (and Fi values) helps INFJ in a better mood, Ti and absorbing new information helps INFJ feel more self-assured and confident with their thinking process, and Se reminds INFJ to stay in the moment and experience it because it's super refreshing to be more adventurous than being trapped in the head. And saying you don't like Fe? That's your empathy dawg. How tf are you not going to like Fe if you're not a Ti dom? To hate pretending for someone else and being empathetic for someone else is not the same thing. To hate being empathetic than being logical is also strange, because both are useful (if not for other people sake, than for YOUR sake. Being comfortable for yourself and secondly for anyone else however you choose), AND Ti is your internal function along with Ni which means you are already a rational. Being immature is why Fe is uncomfortable because you're still learning how to correspond the functions to your liking. Se will teach you what experiences feel like, and from that Fe teaches you how to have fun with others from those experiences. They're all very useful functions when you learn how to use them than blame them for what you chose to think or feel or behave. Being hurt or uncomfortable is your experience, and how you learn what the pattern there is and how to combat it to not feel those negative feelings anymore is how you'll experience inner harmony.
I know what you mean! I've also wondered if I was secretly INTJ the whole time because my Ti grew to be a plenty experimental and decisive. It really sharpened the efficiency of my Ni overall when applying these new solutions, always adjusting and helping. we know not all INTJs are assholes, but we know you just mean you confused being in a loop with changing type. Some healthy INFJs are sometimes actually assholes though, like me, but I'm working on it! My tolerance for rude family went down a lot y'know, my harmony radar is down and I live in chaos.
Anyway, I'm unsure if you're asking for the differences between Ni and Ti, but as someone confused with these in the past I'm willing to explain from my experience. so Ni is when you're figuring things out. Narrowing what you see down with speculation. It's hard to explain why something makes sense, it just does. Ti is also figuring things out, but with tools and nameable utilities in your possession. Imagine Ti as a science experiment, where if x does blank, y will occur because z, and z in this example is what has been proven and is understandable. when you can prove it, it's Ti, and you understand a system enough to explain it. When the only reason you have is "it's obvious" and you can simply forecast a metaphysical sequence of events happen in front of you based off of speculation and hunches or small pieces of information about each individual thing, that's Ni. If you're an INFJ, you might feel embarrassment trying to explain something you're seeing when it's mostly speculation and you don't know the answer of something yourself yet. It's very hyper focused, theoretical, and even goal orientated sometimes. Theories fuel Ni, seeing all the endless possibilities and highlighting the most applicable paths. Ti tells you the only possibilities it knows and it's right (sometimes).
In an Ni-Ti loop, Ti is probably telling you something it "knows" is true, but it's probably a made up rule stopping you from understanding the situation as a whole. It represents a lot of inexperience when applying rules it doesn't realize expands further than it is at that moment. Y'know it's Ti child just critiquing what's wrong and right to what it thinks makes sense, and Ni is just figuring out what to do and what things mean and how could it fall together. It plays with all these thoughts because Ti doesn't want to mess up and INFJ has a hard time giving up on being in their head because Ni was supposed to be easy since it's helped them out for all their life. all i gotta say is when something doesn't make sense, you're looking at it the wrong way, like an upside-down map.
@@heffthehecked You mixed things up, Ti is about understanding and making something work, Ni is about gathering and organizing, meaning that Ni comes first as an observing function, then Ti makes sense of it all.
Ti is hardly childish, it's stubborn if anything especially if combined with Ni but it has nothing to do with childishness if anything a person stuck in a Ni-Ti loop can not mature properly because only a very specific part of their brain and skillset gets developed. I noticed that the unhealthy INFJ's immaturity comes from the imbalance between the functions, you need Fe and Se to mature properly, if it is locked out the process just doesn't occur or remains heavily limited, aka it's not the functions that cause the immaturity, it's the imbalance between Ni-Ti and Fe-Se, aka the blame is on the person, not their inborn functions, don't use that as an excuse, "oh it's just my Ti it's not me"
That's just wrong.
So Ti is the tendency to understand things and build frameworks, and "logic" just so happens to be the best way to do that, since the universe follows logic. Therefore Ti might not be synonymous with logic, but it has a very high correlation with it, because logic is the best way to satisfy Ti tendencies.
The way you talked about Ti reminded me of Ni a lot. To boil it down to the smaller amount of ideas and dive deeply into subjects.

I am an ENFJ and what u said abt my type makes sense. I am reeeally intimidated of expressing my unique opinions, but when I am around the right people who are understanding and open minded, I really enjoy it!
As an INFJ with an active Ti (introverted thinking), I'll take a problem or a consideration and first analyze it. I do that by categorization and classification and then producing a list, sometimes a long list of items pertinent to that problem. This is a conscious process. I then proceed to cogitation, researching and looking up things. This way I oftentimes find my answer.
I LOVE to think outside of the box. I love juxtaposition, contrast, and paradox, oftentimes taking an unusual path and sometimes a quite contrary one, which I love.
If the solution was not arrived at, oftentimes what happens is, hours, days, or sometimes even weeks later(!), I'll be reading a book or whatever -- an activity unrelated to the problem or conundrum. Out will pop the answer, with an aha(!) moment. To me that was obviously subconscious Ni (introverted intuition) working in the background, putting trends and patterns together, until out came the answer. Duh!
As an INFJ, this is really really fun!
For me, the difference between INTPs and ISTPs is quite clear. Nonetheless, I do enjoy their unique approaches to Ti

Fi does the same as Ti but with values frameworks instead of logic. Trying to express my emotional landscape as INFP to my INTJ partner often results in much TJ clarification and reduction. Even when I just want ro create a framework of my emotional process and stand in the middle of it and just veeeeennnntt!!
How does the structure of your value framework look like? I do not mean the content, but rather the structure itself?

For instance seeing historical precedents in regards to man's inhumanity and predicting the next form it will take based on the conditions of the last wave of insanity repeating. My value belief that truth is universal is a personal value, though it sounds overarching..
@@PowerRedBullTypology @P O W E R - R E D - B U L L to To clarify, feelings as in Fi vs Ti is about values (not so much emotions by themselves but emotions tied to a value i.e. a 'conviction') versus Ti logic. "Convictions" therefore are very personal and cover more than just humanistic subjects and ethics. Anything can be tied to a conviction. From "modern music is rubbish' to 'vitamins are bait advertising' to 'science and God dont have to be at odds." Without conclusive proof, ultimately everything is a value judgement - even belief in evolutiion- so the applications of a values framewrk are endless. Fi types see this half of the world while Ti doms see the logic half. But both can exist as overlays of another. Chaos theory taught us there is order inside seeming randomness. I say values frameworks overlay logic frameworks in much the same way. Same evidence, different perspective. You wouldnt prove Newtonian physics in a court of law but you could prove a robbery for instance. Different kinds of evidence demand different types of hearings but they are still evidence. Values need their own - thats why philosophy was invented. Sorry for the long, rambling passionate INFP answer. But i also have a doctorate in philosophy so i hope some of this makes sense.
I think Te also is generally open to hearing how things are done in different places, and hearing the logic behind different mindsets/approaches that people have. They'll want to keep these separate, as "this is how x people do this, this is how y people logic out that," and use different "systems" of logic depending on the location/situation/context. Meanwhile, a Ti will try to find a one-size-fits-all method

There’s nothing more satisfying than taking a piece of code and whittling it down to its simplest form.
I love to simplify things, make it make sense in it's basic form. INTJ raised by an INTP.
The unification issue is not about quantum and Newtonian mechanics... it's about unifying quantum mechanics and relativity. Better would be: Newtonian mechanics is still good enough and useful enough for things such as designing buildings, bridges and so on. But it is not accurate or even right enough at smaller scales.
Specifically general relativity, but yeah you’re still right. Newtonian mechanics is a very good approximation for the world we can physically see, but it is not accurate when talking about very large or small systems.

Sort of though from my ti third perspective I want to understand the system from a personal perspective because I find constantly looking things up to be annoying and possibly inefficient in the long run. With an acute understanding and fundamental principles based on the system I can complete work and come up with answers faster then others, with no need to reference an external reference.

As long as they aren't a completely foreign concept. In other words I like my concepts to cover the broadest area possible in the most concise fashion. Though personally I'm not particularly word bound.

ENFJ here, and I totally agree. I feel like I've had an interesting experience growing up with Ti, because my mother being an ISTJ would never stop bugging me until I had my reasons. I also feel like magnet for higher Ti, my closest lifelong friend is an INTP and just hearing him talk about subjects makes me want to look into them more (and we did, all the time, mostly breaking down statistics of various sports). I also notice that I tend to lean on higher Ti users for advice, notably the same INTP but also my close ENTP and ISFJ. Great video and super interesting stuff!
You're right about us 3rd slot Ti users. Everybody just thinks we're nice & helpful (which we are) but watch out for our logic bombs 💣 I personally like to pick things apart to understand how/why they work so that I can make them work better as a betterment for everybody (good 'ol Fe).

Chords can have more than three notes in them. That is how we develop 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th chords. Chords are built by stacking thirds. A Major chord is a Major third stacked with a minor third, and a minor chord is a minor third stacked with a major third. Both these cases give us an interval of a perfect fifth between the Tonic and the Dominant notes of the chord. This pattern of alternating intervals is repeated, so a Major 7th is Major 3rd + minor 3rd + Major 3rd, and a Minor 7th is a minor 3rd + Major 3rd + minor 3rd. A Dominant 7th is Major 3rd + minor 3rd + minor 3rd, which is enharmonic with the diminished chord of the key with the dominant note added to it. If you stack minor 3rd upon minor 3rd you get a diminished chord, and if you stack a Major 3rd upon a Major 3rd you get an Augmented chord. We aren't here for the music theory though are we? I'll shut up now.

Loved this! I would appreciate hearing you speak of the difference between Ni and Ti. I have my own understanding of these but you explain things so well. Things can get muddled for people frequently in Ni-Ti loops who often use the two functions together. (This topic can also help distinguish INTPs and INFJs).
I've always thought of "Ti vs Te" as "considerate vs deliberate", and I'm aware this line of thinking needs more fine-tuning.

Yes..! You explained it so well! The thing about seeing something and thinking about if it fits in your internal system thing is a thing I've done many times. It made me question if I was a Si user once, bc someone explained that in a similar way. But nope. This is one of the things I love about MBTI, it's actually pretty similar to one of my internal systems or observations, _but put into words and practical explanations_ . When reading about the functions it's so cool to see things you never thought could be explained... Explained.
I'm very grateful for how you explained Ti in ENTPs and ESTPs, it's a very elegant explanation and I find that it explains very well why I keep going back to reading as the thrill of finding a new world within the book, one that's foreign but also known to me in a way that's unknown to me as of yet is the best experience ever. I think it was Marcus Aurelius who once said that no matter when, where or how, people keep on waging wars, making friends, buliding homes and families and greiving for the dead- and this is a con stant across development of mankind throughout history and in just different forms. Perhaps, that also explains the appeal of sociology for me as it deals with the patterns that have developed across time in civilisations(Ti) and allows me to engage with the human factor of things (Fe). I can understand this a bit. As an INTJ with Ti as my first shadow function it’s something I use in a way. I like knowing how everything works and condensing it down to a nice simple formula, but I also need to know why it boils down, and how it’s tied to other formula. For me it’s more of a framework for my Ni, as well as a starting point for my Te as you mentioned. I feel like my Ni and Te are connected with Ti. It’s useful to learn how things work so that I can improve my understanding of the world and then use that understanding to make changes to the world. It’s all about using Ti to break things down to their base elements so I can make a mental network of how everything is related, and then reconstruct the network in different ways to predict the future and make a plan to get the best possible outcome from the data at hand. At least as best as I figure that’s how it works.

I'm an INFJ and what you said about us (along with the ISFJ's) is the most eloquent description i've ever heard about myself regarding my judging functions ! People tend to see us as emotional due to Fe but i definetely use my Ti very well and they tend to get surprised when i decide to stop being super nice & bring out the logic haha thank you for this great content !

Yea.. I think the big thing to remember is that the mode of perception is really going to drive the usage of the Ti. Because Ti is 'subjective' and integrative with perception, having singular definitions for the functions gets challenging. The breakdown by type at the end was good.

@@madcat6299 I'm actually in awe when I witness Si users access so easily and accurately their own memories and facts they learned. It's such a foreign thing to me. The lack of memory recall usually never bothers me unless:
1) I _desperately_ want to learn something that requires memorisation (anatomy, chemical elements, plant classification...) and I fail epicly every time despite serious, longterm efforts. I envy Si users for that capacity, do they even realize what a great gift data recall is?
2) When someone asks me to _back up_ my arguments or opinions with "facts", cite my "sources" or give concrete examples. It can be borderline humiliating cause the other person, usually with Si, does NOT comprehend that I don't store any of that information consciously, ie I cannot give them anything but the final product or conclusion.
Even in MBTI people with Si do this, they don't get that Ni users, esp. Ni-doms, don't function like them.
I'm so glad to observe the same mechanism in Ti-user. This is for me the core of Ti, it is what i see, it is the way i vizualized it. Thank u to share it!

1. Ti -> Seeks internal “logical consistency” of deductive reasoning, logical & analytical thought, analysis, principles and argumentation in virtually all aspects of life. Wants to know why things work the way they do.
- Most prominent in the IxTP types who lead with Ti as their Dominant Function
2. Fi -> Seeks internal “consistency of personal values and principles” as they align accordingly with one’s themes of the self, identity, authenticity, feelings, morals and passions. Wants to align wholeheartedly and unabashedly to themselves by virtue of their personal, individualized principle/value-system
which is often substantiated by some type of personal and/or moral conviction[s].
- Most prominent in the IxFP types who lead with Fi as their Dominant Function
3. Si -> Seeks internal “experiential consistency” with how current and/or future situations [do/will] measure up accordingly with past experiences, memories, facts, details, as well as levels of familiarity and comfortability. Wants to be able to “know what to expect” when it comes to future scenarios and/or outcomes. Utilizes the past as a formidable “guide” of sorts to help aid in accomplishing this.
- Most prominent in the ISxJ types who lead with Si as their Dominant Function.
4. Ni -> Seeks internal “conceptual consistency” between various and/or varying different underlying concepts, thoughts, ideas, frameworks, ideologies, and theories. Does this thru contemplating and evaluating the consistency and strength of relationships in-between said connections (of ideas or concepts or ideologies), and then elucidate more comprehensive, holistic, understanding, conceptual frameworks to work within not only in the abstract/hypothetical sense, but as well as within the concrete/realistic sense too.
Ex) Think of the nodes between 5 various ideas on a mind map, and then finding connections between the 5 of them such that you actually take those points/nodes (ie the ideas) and actually be able to mold them into a compact, comprehensive 3-Dimensional “conceptual sphere”.
More Concrete Ex) Imagine taking 5 different colored pieces of clay, each color representing a particular idea, and then being able to “find a high degree of internal conceptual consistency in between all those 5 ideas” such that you can mold each of those individual pieces of clay into a 3-D ball of sorts, of which, represents a new framework for viewing/seeing things since all 5 ideas fit snuggly altogether into this new shape than they had before previously.

I'm learning to appreciate my Te users more through videos like this and in bringing my practical issues to them irl. I like to think that I can solve them on my own but my Te is weeeeeak lol. Looking to improve it though. 💛
Lately I’ve been Ti-ing home remodeling (have to make all the decision within a month time before the work can commence). It has been absolutely hellish, going into all differently directions, exploring possibilities before pulling imagination wild horse back. It wasn’t unlike child birth though. The conclusions that came to me after laborious efforts from many sleepless nights are usually what I can feel at peace to pull the trigger.
In your next video maybe you can explain spin in quantum physics versus spin in regular physics. Thank you.
Thankyou for this thorough explanation! I recently, after questioning for a long time, have mostly concluded that I'm an ENTP (which I think just stating as mostly concluded is probably an ENTP thing tbh). This was helpful in understanding my Ti function, parts of which I related to but much more when it's explained as more thoughtful and wanting to understand than logical and objective (of course, not that it isn't both logical and objective, especially for Dominant Ti-users, but with what I'd like to call a well-developed Tertiary Fe function, I think that keeps my Ti in check).
However I definitely did know that in general, I was more interested in learning and experimenting with information than with maintaining my personal values and regulating my emotions, as Fi was never something I strongly related to (aside from the eccentricity and individuality, I'm definitely a total weirdo but I could probably provide a logical reason for not conforming, thanks Ti).

I think the subjective/objective distinction can be summed up that Te users tend to think of problems in a third person way (probably because they intend to have somebody else actually do whatever action is required). I think Ti thinks of things in more of a first person, hands on sense. This is probably more apparent in ISTPs than in INTPs, but I think it's still there. Solving a problem for TI means either getting one's hands on it, or having a mental model to spin around their heads. Everything is more complicated, and has to consider more details when you actually have to do it in person. By contrast, consider how many implicit instructions are left out of most things when you're just telling someone to go do something. That is the level that Extroverted thinking tends to operate at. The "executive" doesn't need to know or consider all the details, so they don't. Their approach is objective in the sense that it is kind of generic so it can be assumed to be understood with the least explanation necessary. It's objective in that different observers can agree on that much. For Ti, however, all that explanation may be seen as extremely necessary (for the same reason complicated tasks like starting an airplane involve long checklists.) If you're going to do something for real, or imagine it in the most realistic way possible, the details matter.

This a great way to help me know the difference between-- not just Ti and Te, but especially the difference between Ti and Fi. Both of them desire to see things individually and understand them. Does that make sense?
I just watched the movie "Prometheus" (sci-fi prequel to "Alien") & was with the Charlize Theron's character about getting the hell off that rock & head back to Earth while not understanding Nooni's character in wanting to know "why?". For me it's that a large part of my thinking is with the Ni mechanism. I semi conciously use it and this may be particular to me but a majority of my thought is using thinking other than verbal thinking, sometimes this thought can be extremely complex so it's understandable that I have a hard time translating it, particularly in subjects that I may not have communicated much about because there are not many peers interested in the subject.
@@JokerCrowe Yes. It's like asking a shy singer to perform in a full house vs an outgoing one. One has to prepare themselves and while it's second nature for the other. So if I'm asked to explain my introverted thought process in a way that's understandable to others (from Ti to Te) but on the spot (Se), then it will sound very perplexing even to my own ears even though I know what I am trying to say. I'm more adept at switching to Fe for Se so I may also be visibly stumped or confused as I search for the right words. The ISTJ I know is better able to do this without many complications, just don't ask them to express their internal feelings then they behave similarly (in my experience).

Ti is what makes sense, yes... but using Ti like breathing air, it is as much used for figuring out what works or what works best (Utility) as to learning why. I think the difference between a TI and a Te user can be observed if you ask them to troubleshoot a busted printer... One will start isolating the issue to apply appropriate troubleshooting steps while the other will starts Googling what others have done.
As an INFJ searching meaning I studied gregorian chant and other kinds of music and psychology and mystics with the intention of think and understand emotions and feelings and relationship between aesthetics and ethics and therapy (I am an art-therapist, fusioning ni, fe, ti and Se, to help people with the aid of the experience of beauty). Now I have writed more than 400 pages about feelings and interior life structuring all from some principles highly organized in a logical way (I mix junguian insights with the monastic and augustinian tradition of meditation and interior life analisis, with the rational psychology and metaphisics of the scholastic philosophy and with the insights of a spanish personalist and dialogic philosopher named Alfonso Lopez Quintás). Often the Ni helps to visualize a symbolic pattern and then TI shows the consequences of the pattern in a logical way.
How do you consciously know when your using Ti?

I am an entp with extremely high ti, maybe even higher than ne, but I figured I'm an entp because I have ne dom trait though its not as strong and ti aux trait though it is very strong. I also tend to be very high on fe but again, its doing the job of a third function so I know how and when to use it appropriately. Due to high ti, I really don't like to communicate my thoughts but I don't want to use ne to communicate either because I see with fe that people judge me for it pretty much all the time. Back in the day when I didn't know too well about mbti, I thought I was an intp due to my introversion
It's certainly an understandable mistype that occurs. Sometimes it's easier to see some of our lower functions since our dominant function is the lens through which we see the world. As a result it's difficult to view it accurately and in a detached way ~ Nathan

I like to think of Ti as something that dissects things and Te compiles them
I saw how a Te auxiliary stopped studying a thing and going deeper when the knowledge was enough for utility purposes. Meanwhile even being a tertiary Ti user, I tend to branch out and study something not obviously tangible. And yes, a hodgepodge of knowledge built over time from reading books and observing is a thing, and a niche interest too. It's hardly an elegant summary because I don't think I can articulate it to make it universally applicable to any situation, but I can use the knowledge to navigate particular cases.
As a Fi dom (INFP) I'm trying to understand the similarities and differences between Fi and Ti.
You said that a core aspect of Ti is the desire to reduce everything down to the least complicated theory that would still account for everything.
So, if we were to take tendencies of certain functions and apply them to the theories they would be likely to formulate and how they would go about understanding the Meyers Briggs and similar personality classification systems, for example, then would this mean that Ti users would be less interested in all of the nuances that would be possible within different combinations of MB functions, turbulent versus assertive, Enneagram cores, tri-types, subtypes, wings, etc, etc, etc?
One aspect of personality typing systems that I'm fascinated with is the nuance that is possible within all of those many combinations and the intersections of the MB with the Enneagram. And I get frustrated with people who think that any amount of nuance is unnecessary or "too much," such as people who don't believe in tritypes, because I feel like, the more nuance, the better.
Parenthetically, this is the same reason why I'm fascinated with discussions of the split attraction theory and what they call micro-labels (such as being asexual biromantic, heteroromantic bisexual, etc). This is an area of discussion with which a lot of you might not be familiar with, depending on your age and your exposure to social justice spaces.
Is this fascination of mine with nuance a typical aspect of Fi, and something that differentiates it from Ti . . . or is it a typical aspect of another one of my functions?

pure, distilled Ti always triggers me due to its out of touch with reality(or practicality, efficiency, to be more accurate).
oh, as well as Ti's inability to think from multiple perspectives, it always follows a straight line of reasoning, "back and white" attitude, which never occurs in real world observations. that is usually seen in lower Ti(3rd or 4th) users

If I may offer some insight as a fellow INFJ. To know when you use Ni think about about when you plan of simulate Ni is insight it looks at the implications of something regardless if it's logical the question is will it happen and why. Ti is seen as following something to their logical conclusion where do you draw the line in the sand when you use Ti when are telling youself this doesn't make sense if (blank). When you use them together if feels like you're simulation a world were certain rules apply to what and Ti tells you to look over it for me I feel the urge to "leave no stone unturned" while the Ni lets me see how that would apply to the life of myself and everyone around us narrowing them down to objective and likely outcomes making an almost air tight logic

A minor, 1st inversion, base note at A3. I can't play the piano properly, but because of the rules in place, I can tell, even when I don't have perfect pitch to get it in milliseconds. My relative pitch is good enough to be accurate.

Same here, but Love Who had already gave an answer to Ti, it personal framework. to understand why your calculation works, why your formula, your melody, etc in explain it to a person Ti in simplest form.

My problem is that for example I have difficulty deciding IXXP-s spepcifically. I am really good at finding out whether they are identity saviors and whether they are intuitive or Sensor, but I constantly struggle when it comes to differentiating between Fi and Ti.
