I use the KJV and mine also says Testament. But my Bible is a reference Bible and it has a number by certain words and in the column reference it gives you a definition or synonymous meaning to the word with a number by it. It had a number by Testament and the synonymous meaning was covenant.
Then I had an 💡🧠moment about the Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible meaning Old Covenant and New Covenant.

Hebrews 10:10 says that Jesus..."died once for all". When we pay a debt, we only need to pay once. There is no need to keep paying over and over.
Jesus died for us once, paying our debt with that one death. There was no need for Him to die over and over again. The idea of Jesus having to "die over and over" isn't a Biblical idea. We can be joyful that His death for our sins only needed to happen once, and that if we have asked for His forgiveness, then we are forgiven and on our way to Heaven.
      Blessings to you!

If Romans 9:22 ....... without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
If this is correct than who does it line up with these verses
2 Samuel 12:13 Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the LORD has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin.
Question how could God forgive David for the sin of adultery and murder when David did not sacrifice..
Also if the Old Testament demands a sacrifice than what is the sacrifice required for such things.. show me the verse...
How was Nineveh forgiven without sacrifices.
What types of sins is mentioned in Leviticus hint “unintentionally”
If Romans 9:22 is correct than who does it line up with these verses
Lev 5:11-13 But if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two pigeons, then he shall bring as his offering for the sin that he has committed a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it and shall put no frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.
Numbers 16:47 So Aaron took it as Moses said and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the plague had already begun among the people. And he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.
Numbers 31:50 And we have brought the LORD'S offering, what each man found, articles of gold, armlets and bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and beads, to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD.”
Isaiah 6:6-7 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
Ezekiel 18:21-23 ..21 “But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to listen than the fat of rams.
Jer 31: 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Isa 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed by justice,
and those in her who repent, by righteousness.
Also Jesus forgave a man in mat 9:6 , Mark 2:10 without any blood and that there was no mention of repentance.. how can this be..
    And there are many more..

Friend, all sin from Adams sin in the garden till now has all been dealt with by God at one time in redemptive history. Hebrews 9:15 says a death has taken place for the redemption of the trespasses that were committed under the first covenant. That death was the death of Jesus Christ. That one point in history was the moment when all sin was atoned for by the one Sacrifice.
Sacrifices in the OT were required by God for the temporary “covering up” of sins until they could be truly dealt with on the cross. But we must also remember that God is a merciful and patient God. The statement from Romans 9 is true, the sins of Nineveh and David’s sin with Bathsheba and so on.. all of these sins require blood for their forgiveness because the wages of sin is death. Someone had to die for these sins and someone did die for these sins- that person being Jesus Christ. God being rich in mercy, full of grace, and patience beyond measure dealt with these sins at a later time in history, namely when Jesus Christ took the sins of the world and died for them on the cross.
      I hope this somewhat helps!

There are different types of covenants. Not all covenants necessarily mean blood covenants. There are both conditional and unconditional covenants (conditional would be by works, unconditional would be Abraham). The mosaic covenant (includes blood covenant, not explicitly) demonstrated to the Israelites that it's difficult to follow the law and obey it perfectly. Which is why there's the new covenant. We are in need of a saviour, Jesus Christ.
