Love these vlogs Miranda! Countryside, castles, gift shops, cream teas, restaurant meals , Landmark Trust properties, china, fashion and Books! It does’t get better than this!!
Dear Miranda and Donna, I’m only half-way through watching your beautiful vlog, but I had to pause the video to let you know how much I love the way you care for each other and make each other happy. It brought back memories of my mother and I doing the same and being grateful for the time we could spend together. Thank you!🌷❤
Yours and your mums relationship is so lovely, it always makes me emotional. She really knows you so well and you can see the love between you both. So precious ❤️
I love your "solo" videos, but the ones with your Mum are the "cherry on the top", thank you for sharing those delightful moments with us ❤ God bless you
You two are so adorable! I lost my mom many years ago and can see myself traveling and having fun, and enjoying sweet treats like that. You make me happy!
Such a lovely vlog Miranda. You have such a wonderful relationship with your mum. I had a tear in my eye when Donna presented you with the gifts from Chatsworth. I must visit as it looks beautiful especially at this time of year. Thank you for taking us along on your trips❤
I echo all the previous comments…..the pleasure you bring to us all is hard to put into words. We absolutely love returning to a holiday cottage for a second time…..it really does feel like a ‘home from home’. I’m one of those people who put down roots very quickly…..so as soon as supper is in the oven….a candle is lit……and a vase of flowers is on the table, I’m happy! To be able to share that feeling with your mother must be very special. Bless you both xx
I don't know how many times I've watched this video, both in its entirety and in bits and pieces when I need a calm, relaxing moment. It's so absolutely lovely with its scenery, music and genuine friendship. I just loved your mum's delight in giving you those sweet gifts. That handbag is perfection! Thank you for taking us along and sharing such a special getaway ❤
Dear Miranda, this vlog was one of the most beautiful ones I ever watched. You could really work for the British Tourism Board (if there is such a thing) and persuade everyone to come and visit England. Everything you filmed was just so exquisite, I just want to pack my suitcase and be off to Derbyshire. So so beautiful. In addition it is always such a delight to see your and Donna's kind, friendly and beautiful faces, enjoying food and life in general. One always wishes to be there with you, so it is very kind that you take us along with your camera which is probably very hard work even though everything seems to be so light and easy and lovely. Thank you very much for this wonderful treat and have a lovely weekend!❤❤
so lovely to see you spending time with your Mum and having such fun. I miss my mum terribly but it gives me great pleasure watching you and your mum making memories ❤
I remember the scene in Pride and Prejudice when Lizzy came across a dripping wet Mr Darcey. As a dripping wet Miranda you recreated it very well! Thank you for showing us your trip to Derbyshire Miranda, you and your mum are so lovely I could spend a day with you!! 😃😃 I won’t really but you’re a girl after my own heart, I love houses, gardens, gift shops and the Peak District. I’ve been there, including Chatsworth. Who would have thought such a beautiful place is nestled between such big urban areas, Sheffield and Manchester. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. ❤❤
In August 2010, my parents and I visited Haddon Hall. Jane Eyre is one of my favourite comfort novels so Haddon Hall is Thornfield Hall! My favourite adaptation of Jane Eyre is 2006 BBC version which was filmed at Haddon Hall. As I'm unable to walk and I'm a wheelchair user, I was unable to access the upper floors but the staff were really friendly and informative about the Hall and told me lots of Jane Eyre facts. Haddon Hall is a special place to me. My parents went to Bath in May, mum bought me the Jane Austen bag that you own. Mine is a light colour and I love it. My mum also bought me Emma and Mr Knightley decorations and the Marjorie Bastian edition of Emma which I also love. We have quite a few David Austin Roses in our garden. They're gorgeous and have lovely scents. You both look like you had a wonderful time in Derbyshire. I'm also have a lovely time with my mum too. Take care x
Miranda, thank you once again, for your kindness and generosity in taking your followers along on your holidays. You and your Mum have such a wonderful relationship , and your love and respect for each other shines. It is a gift that you share with us . Thank you for allowing us to join you both on a well deserved holiday. I am an Anglophile and truly appreciate and enjoy seeing the stunning countryside and amazing historic buildings. Thank you from the USA. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Wishing God’s abundant blessings to you both.
Thanks, Miranda, for sharing all your book knowledge. You have inspired me to read more in my retirement years. I am so grateful to you (and your Mum) for opening this window of knowledge for me! Janice A. in California
I live in the US and just found your channel! I so enjoyed the trip with your mum! How fun! I also love books and Jane Austen is a favorite. My daughters and I have watched all of the movies several times. I also love those dresses from Seasalt! I’ve been checking their site and would love to order one. Thanks for such an enjoyable time. I’ve never been to the UK so it was nice to follow along and see some of the scenery, beautiful gardens and fun bookshops.
Just reading Bond Street Story by Norman Collins 1959 and thought of you and your mum. He also wrote London Belongs to me which I believe was made into a film. If you have not read it I think it may appeal to you and many of your followers.
Hello from France Miranda ! Thank you so so much for this fantastic video ! Visiting these stunning places and the roses garden and bringing us along with you was so magical and sweet ! I love this video ! Thank you again ! ❤
For more Peak District reading I recommend Ethel by Helen Mort. Ethel's campaigning led to the creation of the Park and the biography also features her poetry.
Just an exquisite video. I’ve said it before and I have to say it again…you both certainly know how to make life beautiful. I love being transported to your delightful world with every video. You both looked gorgeous and thank you for sharing so much with us. It made me feel like I was there with you! 🥰
What a lovely video Thank you so much as I'm somewhat house bound it's wonderful to go travelling with you I used to accompany my grandparents on holiday when I was a teenager as a helper to my grandad who had MS and lived with us We used to stay in Willersley Castle in Matlock Here is a funny tale My parents having been brought up in Derbyshire chose to have their 50th anniversary at Willersley When I stayed there with my grandparents atvthecage of 13 My room was next to theirs It was very small with a ti y wash basin and the wardrobe was just a space in a small corner with a curtain Well when I stayed on my parents anniversary some 37 years later I realised as soon as I stepped into my room that it was the same room my grandparents had and my small room was now an en suite in the room Somehow it made the celebration extra special as it was like having my dear grandparents with me They were very special to me 😊
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful trip with us! I loved seeing the gardens and homes, and your special relationship with your lovely mom. Watching your vlogs brings me a lot of happiness.
I’m only halfway through, but was thinking how incredibly lovely the afternoon tea looked and loved how Donna described it as “blissful” 💕 as usual thank you for letting us tag along - these long vlogs are such a treat!
Oh this lovely vlog! 💕💕My husband is a N Ireland expat & while I have been to Ireland/ NI (3 times….once for 4 months and BTW, he proposed to me on the beach next to Carrickfergus castle 🏰) & been to beautiful London (his K1 ‘interview’) … 20 years ago! …. I have never been to England proper or Scotland. I really really liked your vlog 😊 I’ve been more of a silent member. I guess she could say and I’m gonna sit this month out on the comfort book club because my dog is really sick.😢😭 and right now it’s not looking too good so I’m just listening to light audiobooks right now in any event thank you so much for such a beautiful wonderful Vlog which really helped me right in the moment while we enjoy maybe the last few days with our sweet little senior beagle😢 Thank you!
I really loved this video, Miranda! It was a delight to see that you ate at the Peacock at Rowsley. I am from Australia and remember having a wonderful lunch there in 2013 on my way to Buxton, where I spent a week at The Old Hall Hotel, built by Elizabeth Hardwick, who of course was also mistress of Chatsworth. Yorkshire and Derbyshire are two of my favourite counties in the UK. I so much enjoy your travels around this beautiful countryside.
Thank you for sharing your trip to Derbyshire, what a lovely video and the perfect way to relax on a Sunday afternoon here in York. I'm a bit late viewing it as have just returned from a break in Scotland to a cottage we love so much that it was our 6th stay! The roses, food, scenery and book shops looked lovely and I so enjoyed see all the gifts your Mum got for you 😘
Good evening, I'm here for few months now. It's very nice to follow yours trips with your mum and let me discover your favorites areas. I really happy to reach your channel by chance. I love reading books. Because of you I decided to begin to read in english with "Anne of green gables" and "The secret garden" so even you didn't know you really inspired me. I discovered that there is an english bookshop close to me. I wanted to thank you very much for your sharing. Thougts from south of France. 📗💚📘💙📙🧡📕❤️
I've watched this vlog twice already. It was such a delight. Your vlogs are always amazing, Miranda. As a person who has a difficult relationship with my mum (we hardly have any contact), it's so so nice to see yours with Donna. It's warming my heart and brings me joy. ❤
Love love love this episode of your trip Miranda and Donna. Both of you have a loving and special relationship, please continue to cherish each other ❤. Not easy to maintain such a relationship and spending time 🕰️ going on adventures is one of them.
such a wonderful video - and so glad you took us along to Derbyshire. Like other subscribers the videos you share including your Mum bring such joy to us --- especially those of us that have lost our Mums. Your Mum reminds me so much of my own. Glad you had such a lovely trip. Happy Birthday month to Mum, too!! 🎂💕 🌹📚
Lovely vlog! Thank you for taking us with you and offering such beautiful insights. And thanks for reminding me of my own stay at The Peacock! You videos always spark so much joy!
What a joyful episode! Mum just keeps getting cuter and Miranda you looked like a beautiful Angel in the window having tea! Absolutely love seeing the historic tours of architecture, gardens and towns. THANK YOU! Also saw the Cutter Brooks collaboration elsewhere and then YOU GOT IT! Yay!
Such a lovely vlog... I love this part of Derbyshire and especially Chatsworth. Some of my maternal ancestors came from the villages either side of the Chatsworth Estate. A few years ago my husband and I had a holiday in the area and happened to visit Chatsworth on the day orchestras and musicians were practicing for an outdoor Prom that was to take place that evening. We spent the afternoon sitting on the sunny hill looking down towards the house listening to the rehearsals. It was absolutely magical....
I've been thinking about purchasing a Serious Reader Light so your offer code might be just the push I need to make a decision. It will be very useful for both reading and knitting. I find that when daylight fades I can't knit at all and struggle with reading too because of poor vision. A Coronet for Cathie is a favourite of mine by Gwendoline Courtney though I do enjoy all her books. I love The Country Child too. I think you were probably in Derbyshire at the same time I was in Rutland, judging by your weather. We were lucky in that we didn't too much rain but it was so cold and windy, not what we expected in June! Chatsworth is a wonderful stately home to look round and the gardens are beautiful. Also David Austin's gorgeous roses. Thanks for taking us on your trip, everything was very special. Had to edit this to say how much I like Crooks Tour, one of Jane Shaw's best titles.
What beautiful images! The house and grounds are so gorgeous. Thank you for braving the elements for our being able to have a sampling of the glorious English countryside. Happy birthday month, Donna!🎉
Love how well you and your Mom get on… so much to listen to your repartee with one another… the houses and gardens are beautiful. Your Mim’s gifts for you are so sweet and thoughtful. Your Mom has excellent taste. She’s truly delightful. You’re so lucky to have her. Your hair looks lovely. I think the soft curls are very nice. Enjoyed everything about this blog.
I am so late seeing this and commenting but I have to say, I just love your adventures with your mom. She is so sweet and reminds me of my mother. I think I would print out a photo and frame it of her sitting on the bench with her book in the David Austin gardens, she looks lovely. I really like the Seasalt dress and green cardigan on you also, so pretty. I just wanted you both to know how enjoyable this was to watch, I felt like I went on a vacation too. 💕
This was so delightful! I loved every second of this marvellous vlog, from the beautiful scenery, the stunning gardens, the house where you were staying, and best of all, you and your Mum. It could be a two-hour vlog and I would be watching it happily. So glad that you enjoyed a wonderful time in Derbyshire! Happy weekend ❤
An amazing, most beautiful vlog! Oh the David Austen roses.. breathtaking! Loved your EB roses mug, i must get one! I do collect her pottery! I recently bought the roses large tea cup & saucer , so lovely 😊 ( bought the book The wind boy too, with your recommendation yay! Really enjoyed watching you & your absolutely lovely mum on holiday, hope you got time to relax too! Big thanks, i adore you & your work Miranda! Wishing your mum a very happy birthday 🎂 xx
Thank you so much, Anna, for your lovely message and birthday greetings to my Mum and also for your generous support of my channel! I appreciate your kindness so much! ❤️💐 ❤️🌹
Such a lovely trip, thank you for sharing it. I have always wanted to go to David Austen Roses - now I want to go even more. Brilliant book haul too; I love Anita Brookner's novels.
Haddon Hall is a real little gem. One of my favourite places. Thank you for taking us along to Derbyshire with you and your dear mum. What a special relationship you two have xx
Hello to the both of you from a very wet Charente Maritime. Your videos get me so nostalgic of where I gew up in Staffordshire/Derbyshire and later studying and working in Yorkshire. After more than 20 years now spent in France I do miss all that is to be found in your videos. I actually know the Scarthin Book Shop! Really envie the close relationship that you have with your mum. . . You have so much in common (She also looks like my mum!) Thank you so much Miranda for sharing all your outings, your 'fidel' follower Lena, ps Thom is my hubby!
Gosh, thank you so much for your amazing support, Sophie! It's so very kind of you, and I'm truly grateful. So glad you enjoyed the video & David Austin roses! ❤️ 🌹
Thank you for the lovey video! At the beginning I was thinking "I Miranda shows us around the house again" and you did! I must check out those holiday properties as they look delightful. I enjoyed the whole video with all the lovely garden content and wanted to comment on the lovely purchases - I also couldn't resist the David Austin/Emma Bridgewater mug when I saw it advertised as part of a Chelsea Flower Show event I was watching. I have to ration myself to one or two EB mugs per season as I am running out of space but I do love them so I treated myself to that one for "summer"! I also wanted to say that I thought the ivy placemats etc were beautiful - I wondered if they might also work well at Christmas perhaps with red candles. Such lovely things! x
Miranda, almost just a year ago, a little after, my husband and I came to the UK for the first time and I think one of the many highlights was spending the time in that area… We stated an amazing boutique hotel that was top-notch service and absolutely glorious, and then we went to Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and had dinner at the Prince of Wales, which was amazing… Oh my goodness this is bringing such great memories!❤
Such an exquisite vlog. I was loving the roses, because even though I'm in the warmest garden zone in Canada, only the wisteria & peonies, irises, etc. have bloomed, We are still waiting on the roses, so I fed my soul watching this!
This was such a wonderful video. I truly enjoyed it so much. I dream of visiting David Austin’s rose garden someday but I’m so glad I got to virtually tag along with you two 🌸🌷 Miranda you looked so lovely in your dresses and I have to say everytime I see Donna smile in your videos it warms my heart. She has such a sweet and lovely smile ☺️💕 Thank you for another amazing video. I can’t wait for the next one!
Really loved this video of you and your Mum in Derbyshire. I live in Chesterfield so these are places we do visit but so nice to see them through your eyes and on film. Keira Knightly is believed to have stayed at The Peacock at Rowsley when filming Pride and Prejudice as did Judy Dench when filming Jane Eyre at Haddon Hall. I also really enjoyed your visit to York. Thanks for all your hard work and Donna too 💕🌸
Miranda and Donna, what a wonderful treat is this longer, beautiful video! Thank you for taking us along your lovely trip. It is an immense pleasure to watch your videos. What light (and, may I suggest the scent of roses?) they bring to our days. Best wishes to you both 💐
Oh this was such a treat Miranda, I’ve been to Chatsworth twice now and it’s absolutely stunning. The Chatsworth Farm shop is also well worth a visit ❤
What an interesting holiday ; the British countryside is so charming (as green as here in Cotentin but with beautiful shops we don't have ; I miss the libraries desperately ; it's so sad to have to order on internet every book you want to read). I love the David Austin 's roses and have some of their varieties in my garden ; they are a joy for the eyes and nose at this time of year. I must restrain myseilf from buying some more since I don't know where I would plant them ! Thank you Miranda for sharing those moments of your life with us !
I love Derbyshire. I've visited it twice when I've come over to the UK from Canada, and look forward to going there again. It was lovely revisiting Chatsworth and Scarthin Books with you. If you haven't yet been, Hardwick Hall is a must-see. It's an absolute jewel box, with an impressive collection of 16th & 17th century textiles, some of them wrought by the hand of Mary Queen of Scots. It also has an amazing garden.
Happy Birthday time to Donna! So fortunate gou got to Chatsworth house on a lovely cool, wet day before the late July and August heat and crowds. The Hydrangeavcard is especially lovely. You are fortunate Miranda, to have such a wonderful, thoughtful Mother, as I'm sure you appreciate. Oh! What a super vase!
Thank you so much for another beautiful vlog Miranda! You and your mom Donna always bring me so much cheer! Your trip to Derbyshire looked so wonderful. I’m so happy that you shared this with all of us. ❤
What a gorgeous, gorgeous vlog, Miranda! This type of video is the one I enjoy the most. They take me away, to dream I also visit those places. England is so so beautiful. I love how you two enjoy each other's company. Lovely. I loved it so much am gonna watch it again, after a bit of work, as a treat. Tank you for sharing your trips with us. Love to you and Donna.
Hello Miranda and Donna, this is such a delight. One of my favourite memories of my visit to Chatsworth is the sculpture of the Veiled Lady, which is absolutely breathtaking. I visited in the summer months and enjoyed the beautiful gardens. I would love to visit again, in addition to visiting David Austin to see the rose gardens. I think the idea of a birthday season is great - sending Many Happy Returns, Donna. x
I love these memory making adventures you and your Mum share with us. In Western Oregon, it is also much like you are experiencing in your weather so umbrellas and cardigan must be ready. Have a lovely week.🌹
Your vlogs are so relaxing and enjoyable ... which is so appreciated in the middle of the work week. I also love reading your emailed newsletters. You make me want to visit every place you and Donna visit, and beautiful Chatsworth House is definitely on my bucket list. Thank you so much for giving us this cosy corner of the internet Miranda.❤
Oh, Miranda and Donna, you don’t realize the pleasure and joy you bring to those of us who can only dream and imagine.
Thanks so much, Judith! So kind of you ❤️🌹
It's always a great treat to be taken on a trip with you and your mum! Thanks for this excellent episode!❤
Your mum’s smile lights up the room. Marvellous.

Love love love this episode of your trip Miranda and Donna. Both of you have a loving and special relationship, please continue to cherish each other ❤. Not easy to maintain such a relationship and spending time 🕰️ going on adventures is one of them.
Miranda and Donna you’ve made my day with this lovely video! Thank you!❤
such a wonderful video - and so glad you took us along to Derbyshire. Like other subscribers the videos you share including your Mum bring such joy to us --- especially those of us that have lost our Mums. Your Mum reminds me so much of my own. Glad you had such a lovely trip. Happy Birthday month to Mum, too!! 🎂💕 🌹📚
Many thanks, Jacqueline ❤️🌹❤️
Lovely vlog! Thank you for taking us with you and offering such beautiful insights. And thanks for reminding me of my own stay at The Peacock! You videos always spark so much joy!
So glad to hear that ❤️🌹❤️
What a joyful episode! Yay!
Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️
What a treat to come along with you to Chatsworth House. Love your vlog. You and your mum brighten my day. Adore your mum 💕
Another wonderful travel vlog Miranda and Donna. What a treat to tag along with you on your Derbyshire adventure!
Thank you so much for your fabulous support, Stacey!! So very kind of you, and I truly appreciate it so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
What beautiful images! The house and grounds are so gorgeous. Thank you for braving the elements for our being able to have a sampling of the glorious English countryside. Happy birthday month, Donna!🎉
Thank you very much, Carol! ❤️🌹❤️
I have so enjoyed this weeks vlog. It made me feel so happy. Thank you Miranda and Donna ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️🌹❤️
Thank you very much for taking us along! It was a real treat. I enjoyed it tremendously. I am looking forward to more occasions travelling with you😊

It was a real highlight of the trip!
Used for filming of Ruth Wilson /toby stevens Jane eyre and a scene of the inn where Lizzy is upset over letters from Jane in 2005 p&p xx
Really envie the close relationship that you have with your mum. . . You have so much in common (She also looks like my mum!)
Thank you so much Miranda for sharing all your outings, your 'fidel' follower Lena, ps Thom is my hubby!
You were roses amongst roses, what a wonderful vlog, you are both so lovely
Thank you so much 🌹
This was a wonderful vlog Miranda, thank you so much. Glad to see you both had such a wonderful time and David Austin looked wonderful 😊.
Gosh, thank you so much for your amazing support, Sophie! It's so very kind of you, and I'm truly grateful. So glad you enjoyed the video & David Austin roses! ❤️ 🌹
Miranda, you're the prettiest drowned rat I ever did see! Thank you for yet another terrific video. And Happy Birthday, Donna!!
Haha thank you very much, Bonnie!! And for your wonderful support, which is so appreciated ❤️🌹❤️
What a lovely trip, I plan to make similar with my Mom. Thank you for all ideas and inspiration
I’m watching this as i work late and it’s so lovely ✨
Such lovely things! x
Love Chatsworth and yes, the shop is wonderful, particularly at Christmas
I just love that hairstyle on your mother. So cute!
Thank you for braving the rain on our behalf! So lovely!
Thank you! Enjoy your flowers now and hope your roses bloom soon 🌹❤️
This was such a wonderful video. I truly enjoyed it so much. I dream of visiting David Austin’s rose garden someday but I’m so glad I got to virtually tag along with you two 🌸🌷
Miranda you looked so lovely in your dresses and I have to say everytime I see Donna smile in your videos it warms my heart. She has such a sweet and lovely smile ☺️💕
Thank you for another amazing video. I can’t wait for the next one!
A delightful video of your break, thank you so much. The most beautiful location and scenery, even with the rain. 😊❤
So glad you enjoyed it, Penny! Thank you ❤️🌹❤️
Really loved this video of you and your Mum in Derbyshire. Thanks for all your hard work and Donna too 💕🌸
Glad you enjoyed it, Sue! Thanks so much ❤️🌹❤️
You both look so lovely! The Emma Bridgewater mug is gorgeous, so glad you got one! 🇨🇦🥰
Miranda and Donna, what a wonderful treat is this longer, beautiful video! Thank you for taking us along your lovely trip. It is an immense pleasure to watch your videos. What light (and, may I suggest the scent of roses?) they bring to our days. Best wishes to you both 💐
That's so kind of you! Thank you so much for your fabulous support, which I appreciate very much indeed ❤️🌹❤️
What a wonderful vlog! My mother and I saw it with a lot of pleasure. Thank you from Italy
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️🌹❤️
Oh this was such a treat Miranda, I’ve been to Chatsworth twice now and it’s absolutely stunning. The Chatsworth Farm shop is also well worth a visit ❤
Yes, we went to the farm shop last time! Chatsworth is lovely
Donna, I'll get caught in the rain while you shop for me in the giftshop anytime! So lovely!
Thank you! ❤️📚🌹
I loved every minute of this. What a wonderful trip! Thank you so much for taking us along. A perfect birthday month treat for your lovely mother.
Thank you so much for your lovely words and fantastic support, Johanna! I so appreciate both, and I'm really pleased you enjoyed the video ❤️🌹❤️
Thank goodness for this cultural channel here in the wasteland of US
What a gorgeous, gorgeous vlog, Miranda!
Thank you so much!❤️
37:32 Perfect hair! Perfect colors.
I think the idea of a birthday season is great - sending Many Happy Returns, Donna. x
Thank you, Marie! So glad you enjoyed this!
I love these memory making adventures you and your Mum share with us. In Western Oregon, it is also much like you are experiencing in your weather so umbrellas and cardigan must be ready. Have a lovely week.🌹
Thanks so much, Shelley! ❤️🌹🙏
Oh, I enjoyed this so much!!! Thank you, Donna and Miranda.
I'm so glad! Thank you! ❤️🌹❤️
