The DANA is for sure an example of out the box thinking to find a very good compromise of all the requirements applied to a self propelled artillery system.

It's SPGH by the way, nor SBGH. Stands for self propelled gun howitzer. Not trying to be rude, just felt I should correct it so people know, since our boy's accent can make it hard to understand.

DANA is mainly and simply woman name. The meaning of the acronym DANA is to a large extent invented artificially and on purpose, because in Czech, a native Czech would never use the words "Dělo Automobilní Nabíjené automaticky" in this form and order. He would rather say "Automaticky nabíjené dělo na kolovém podvozku" ("Auto-loading cannon on a wheeled chassis"). But that doesn't make for a very pleasant acronym, does it?

I didn't realize it until I learned about the US Army's Stryker Brigades, but the advantage of wheeled vehicles is that they can transport themselves across long distances. Tanks and other tracked vehicles have to be loaded up onto transports. So wheeled vehicles are less of a strain on logistics and can be much more rapidly deployed over long distances. So Czechia might be onto something with this SPG

You missed one variant, though perhaps that is a bit of an exaggeration. Himalaya evolved into the DIANA tracked system. It uses the original Krab chassis design, which Poland abandoned in favour of S.Korean K9 chassis for the Krab. This chassis replaced the modified t72 chassis of the Himalaya. Currently there are no orders for DIANA, but there has supposedly been some interest shown. It sounds like you might have been about to mention this and this might have been a technical issue in the video itself as the audio seemed to jump

Meanwhile, nice clip, congratulations for the precise historical annotations. 👍
The DANA, including its variants, certainly has a significant role as a forerunner of the modern W-SPH, while also being an example of a constructive architecture that can be improved from many points of view. Personally, I consider the DANA "conceptually" inferior to the contemporary South African G6, in terms of: overall dimensions, mobility and operational flexibility - in this sense it is useless to make distinctions on the caliber of the fire mouth, being a discussion purely related to the specific needs of the 'final user -. In any case, DANA still guarantees good operational performance in its role and also a "relatively low" cost, accessible even in countries with limited military budgets and sufficiently extensive road networks to be able to relocate these vehicles, where useful, with adequate speed. 🙄

Well by that definition, the space age really started in the 80s, functionally speaking. The space race was over at that point, and space was starting to be used to benefit not just science and military activities, but normal people too (starting with communications and GPS type stuff). By that definition, the Dana came onto the scene right as the space age was coming into being. The Abrams looks kinda space age too, and it came into service around the same time.

I doubt it's an easy to replace one type of howitzer for another as elevation pinnons, hydraulic bearings and recoil shock mounts are all different. Ukraine is going through their 152mm ammunition much quicker despite having an ammo factory trying to churn out the Soviet era rounds 24/7.

Artillery is God on any battlefield, the side with the most numerous and accurate artillery will always win every battle period.
Slapping wheels and a big engine on an artillery piece is pretty much guarantee a first strike capability that can easily drive to next coordination quicker then any belt driven machine.
As seen with Ukraine, Russia using drones to do spotting tactics, then using artillery barrages to destroy the enemy position until nothing moves, then they move to next spot and do the same, Ukraine has lost immense amount of resources and soldiers because of this tactic, and you may think Russia has found a revolutionary new method of fighting, but in reality this is how america did it in Vietnam when they were pushed into a stalemate, essentially its just grinding the enemy to pieces with superior firepower.

Doesn't matter. It's on a TATRA chassis, 8x8 with 8 axles. Yes 8, I didn't make a mistake - TATRA utilizes halfaxles, that are offset by few inches - It has remarkable croos country capability for a wheeled truck.
