The area where the machinery is parked is a county park. There used to be volleyball courts and some smaller pavilions there. There is also a narrow piece of land between the park and resort that housed The Salty Crab. Not sure on the status of a rebuild for either of them. The parking is below the entire resort on the bay side of the hotel. So "ground level" is technically the second floor. They even have car lifts in the parking to stack cars 2 per spot.
