@@LeafBranchGames Also thanks for pointing out that I can select the professional license. I didn't realize that was an option for free stuff. Better safe than sorry!
These free assets are currently pretty much the only thing that's ok about fab. I have no idea if I'll ever use any of it, but it's better to have it and not need it than the other way around. Thanks!
new vid, gotta grab me snacks fist - i expected those ancient construction to be at least modular for 50$ price 0_0 well, lets hope next month will be better, this was rather weak and i didnt picked a single asset
Although you may not see any use for the assets now, I would stil lrecommend picking them up for free. You never know what you may find useful a few years down the road. :)
@@LeafBranchGames i already have vault full of stuff i got a feeling ill barely use :D if i had the chance to sort it to my liking that would be something else, but until then ill stay selective hell, most of the things i mess with in my project i either made in blender real fast or used the UE5 built in shapes and welded them together
@@Drakuba I feel the pain of an overflowing vault. But I have heard there are some tools out there for better organization of your assets. Haven't used or seen them myself, so take it with a grain of salt. But maybe something worth looking into.
maybe they will create some sorting system eventually, now that they have fancy new store thats supposed to be used for more than just UE, time will tell
No. Even if you make a million a year later, you retain the right to use the assets you bought. The License you buy is "Standard." The "Personal" and "Professional" are incorrectly called "Licenses." They are not. They are price tiers. That's it. Price tiers only at the time of purchase. If at the time of purchase you make less than 100k, then you pick the Personal price tier. The actual license is the same: Standard. You just pay more if you're richer.
@@LeafBranchGamesThere's no favorite items, like wtf. I used that to store assests that I might buy. Now it's all gone. And you can't even click on the assest pictures so it displays in bigger size.
For some reason it doesn't default to the more expensive license (professional) for all the assets even though they are free too. So be sure to add the Professional license to your library.
No, the licenses are identical, it doesn't matter at all which one you choose (both Standard licenses, both usable as long as you live). Only the price is different, so people earning a lot of money from this have to pay more than us enthusiasts but they still get the EXACT same license as you do. So better to always go with the 'personal' license instead of the professional if you can and are allowed to. This is explained by @BlueSpawn in a sub-comment under here @TheCondorcw further down.
This is perfect for the game I am making. Thanks for pointing it out!
Glad to hear it will be useful to you!

@@Drakuba It should not be a big deal to add a bunch new filters and sorting options, so hopefully yes.

A bit, for sure!

You are very welcome!
Do new free assets from fab remain permanently in the library?
Yes, it is mentioned in the video.
wait should i grab the professional licence as well even if i don't make that much money.
Same question

r they really not gonna do a black friday week long sale ? shouldnt it have started already ?
Unsure. Unfortunately I do not have any inside information on this. I would say it is likely it will still happen, but I don/t know for sure.
Its coming soon
I've been talking to asset creators. They are losing a LOT of money since FAB launched. Much fewer users are buying assets now.
I am not surprised by that. There are clearly some glaring issues with FAB.

@@boomwowsion64 I have heard you can contact the Fab customer support and they will provide you a PDF of your favourites from Epics marketplace.
The entire page is confusing. How could they downgrade this way? What a bad decision.
Most importantly you can’t read the reviews to see if the asset is a waste of money or not
