One note for those who may be curious, our friend from Sweden who spoke of Tommy Steel who was a British rock and roller back in the 50s and was influenced by Elvis as were most everyone in England and Europe. Guys like Tommy Steel gave the people of Europe and England someone to see live and he was pretty good. Tommy also had a movie career and acted alongside Fred MacMurray in “The Happiest Millionaire.”

Hello from England At 4.07 into this video the Swedish lady talks about Elvis and then mentions Tommy Steele. He was the English Rock and Roll star that made it big in the UK. He reached number one in the UK in 1957. The first half of the 50's in Britain was DRAB and rationing was still going on and people like my late parents were living their HUM DRUM LIVES. Everything was black and white but as soon as Tommy came along things changed and by the early 60's it was not BLACK AND WHITE but TECHNICOLOUR. What another great video posted
