Cool project ! I made 23psi/1,55bar with the same turbo, but with EFI and ethanol. You right, it need's no more 30psi oil pressure !!!
Damn bro i have an 85 im sticking a big bore kit on it and a carb and im porting and polishing it but this thing is crazy man
Hello from Miami FL. Great videos!Which turbo would you recommend for a stock bore Grom? I've been running the vz21 (without regulating the oil pressure. I might try your T fitting to return to see if that helps) but I've only seen from 6psi to about 9psi on my setup.
Hey mate, a bloke I know over in the uk is building 1 of these, he went from the rhb to the gt12 and it wouldn’t spool up like the rhb.
If its the rhb31, its bottom end spools quicker, but not much. It has to much exhaust back pressure if it's the 190cc motor. Im using the GT1238sz compressor housing with a GT1241 exhaust housing. Works good imo.
How do you adjust the boost pressure on the vz21? The wastegate actuator doesn’t have any jam nuts so how did you adjust to 10psi

How did you place your boost reference tube, and what size? Doing a similar setup myself.

Do you know any way to do this to a 110cc atc? My dad has one that he kept in good condition from the 80s that I'd like to increase the speed on.

Did you add any oil feed or coolant lines to the turbo ??
Just teed into the existing oil cooling lines. No coolant on gt12's or this motor

Absolutely! I've done a few. a GT2052 or the largest of the 3 GT15s works decent. No smaller.

why dident you just run a draw thru system itd have been alot easier surely?
Stock carb isn't big enough to run draw through. I tried 🤘. Draw through aren't the best for duning either, just wide open throttle stuff.
