At the time when Marvel said that he could only lift 70 tons, he was still a teenager. When he had been resurrected and Xavier saw him for the first time in years, he said that Colossus was much bigger than he remembered. After that, if memory serves me correctly, Magneto then realigned his metal form for maximum efficiency and power. His metal form is basically organic osmium, but also has properties of cold iron, thus making him magically harmful and resistant to old world magical and mythical beings/creatures. A secondary mutation is that even his human form is stronger and faster than a normal human his size, which also translates to quicker and more agile movement when he is metal.

@@IvaNTheUnStoppable I explained twice and UA-cam kept erasing what I put, so I am going to say this again, and try to remember to just hit the "Reply" and not hit enter, or "Backwards" and "Enter." At that time, Colossus could only lift 70 tons. Hulk in calm state could only lift 90 tons. Those numbers were a reasonable benchmark for the fantastic...but DC's powerscale was a little extreme. Their superheroes in their Who's Who of DC Universe were described as lifting thousands and hundreds of thousands of tons. In fact their powerscale was so bad, they had to start nerfing their characters, because they were doing insane stuff, like Superman pulling a chain of 30 or more planets like a man would drag a real chain. To compete, Marvel hired Jim Shooter into "The House of Ideas" to modernise and inject new blood. One of the ways he did this was address the powercreep and raise the ceiling for feats. Wolverine went from healing from fully healing from gunshots in 1-4 weeks (depending on where he was shot) to fully healing in a matter 1-5 minutes. Hulk went from tossing around tanks, to holding up a mountain that was millions of tons (and he wasn't very happy). We all recognise powercreep, now thanks movies and DBZ, and now don't eve flinch when we see Wolverine heal from gunshots in seconds, and see speedsters outrun Time...BUT back then, it was 70 tons. 'Sorry, but it was. Now, you can argue him being able to push the moon out or orbit, or start a limited series comic with Marvel's Hercules pulling Manhattan island back into place (Yes, Marvel did that.), and Marvel has realised that, (DC too) which is why they sort of also try to explain feats with biofields holding buildings together so that superhumans can lift more weight without things crumbling under their own weights, and trying to refer to Class more than refer to ton correlation, BUT no. Colossus could only lift 70 tons back then. 'Make sense?
@@AllCoolThingsStoneMountain bro Wolverine’s old healing factor was something that needed to be changed. It didn’t fundamentally break his character as even with adamantium claws and low level super strength, there are characters he still can’t hurt, whether that be from ftl super speed, invulnerability, magnetic powers, or high level TK and telepathy. (he’s rated at 4/7 and 4 tons range officially by Marvel, and even that may be SLIGHTLY low-balled, but it’s pretty much perfect for Wolverine. That “peak human 800 pounds” bs is regurgitated copypasta nonsense from some nobody circa 2006 or so, who either just hated Wolverine, or was just plain ignorant, and got copy and pasted ad nauseam for some reason until people started to believe it over actual feats and official information from Marvel themselves. If you’ve read even one wolverine comic or watched at least a few episodes of TAS (where he was actually way weaker than he normally is in comics), you would know he is far beyond 800 pounds lol). I’m 36 and I remember his healing factor even being inconsistent in the 1990’s. I swear I had seen his arms grow back in 2 panels before, to the next comic his stomach got sliced open and it took like 8 hours at a campsite to fully heal which really slowed down the mission. Even that should only take like 30 seconds max for him to heal, even with adamantium. To even worse, stomach slightly scratched in TAS and had to be put in a hospital bed and a couple hours of recovery, it never made sense to me. Im happy to see it at least usually way more consistent. It should honestly be one of the best healing factors we’ve ever seen in fiction, like Claire from “Hero’s”. Even she would heal from catastrophic damage in seconds. If she fell off a building and broke every bone in her body she was fine within 30 seconds, or Kimiko from “The Boys”. She’s on Claire’s level. It doesn’t make sense for the OG healer from MARVEL to ever be below B-tier characters like that. Even with adamantium, as long as he’s healthy, he should heal quick and almost instantly. Like literally if a cannonball blew his stomach out, it should grow back within 20 seconds. Anything else is hardly worth mentioning. His old slow healing feels about 2-3x normal human healing at it’s worst showings, that’s hardly even worth mentioning as a literal mutation and power. Even popping his claws would take like 7-14 days to heal if he healed that slow lol. It would take minimum 3-4 weeks for a normal human to heal those huge claws cutting their knuckles open, and probably a lot longer than that. As being a super-healer is his most known mutation and power other than the claws, it really needs to be treated with more dignity and consistency and common sense. I’ve never seen a super healer that only healed a little bit faster than a normal human other than Wolverine at times. Literally even one-off characters in random sci-fi movies and tv series heal and regenerate instantly if they are a healer. Like I said, if he doesn’t heal and regenerate darn near instantly and rapidly, there’s literally no point to him even having the power. It’s just a waste of time even mentioning beyond how he survived an injury that should have unalived somebody, and almost did unalive him, and only every so often, like once every few years or so. To where people even forget it’s an ability of his. But as healing being the first thing associated with Wolverine, it really needs to be top tier healing ability at all times.

Colossus deserves an upgrade. If I was writing him, I'd have him eventually learn how to mimic other metals with this bio metal. For instance, a limited time where he could operate as a vibranium form for like 30 minutes until he gets mentally exhausted from holding the atomic structure. But he should be able to go adamantium at length at this point. He should also be able to demagnetize his own biometal to be immune to magneto.

@IvaN The UnStoppable, Just for information sake. It was made by the old TSR company which over the years became a failed company and sold the rights of it's most popular gaem Dungeons & Dragons to what is now Wizards of the Coast games.
That's not why he's underrated. He's underrated as a result of writers leaning heavily on him as a jobber . We saw it with the WWH example. Want to prove this arcs villain is a massive threat, show Colossus knocked around. There are many story arcs that begin with someone finding Colossus after a fight he's obviously lost. You can only do that so many times before the character becomes a joke. Just look at how Galactus has been used as a perfect example. I love Colossus because he's not just another strong guy with rage issues.
It's absolutely time for Marvel to start using characters like Namor the Submarine, Colossus, Sentry, Blue Marvel, Marvel man, Starbrand, Hyperion, Red Wolf and American Eagle and the original Captain Marvel and Captain Britain. Marvel comic universe is huge, and a lot of characters are not used enough. A lot of characters that they had, like Ultra man, and since DC used Space Ghost, Doc Savage, The Phantom.
I wonder if he can lift Thors hammer? That’s the true test… everything else is minimal! 😂 and I love how great he looks in some of these clips makes me wish I had some of these comics.
The Crimson Gem of Cyttorakk is actually a permanent boost. Cain Marko is a regular human; the gem granted him his super strength. He didn't have it and "wasn't" an avatar when he was with X-caliber. . . but he was STILL SUPER STRONG WITH MATCHING DURABILITY. Even with the significant decline in strength, he was able to slightly compare to Captain Britain. Colosuss would keep the same type of boon without the gem and status as well. Jean's powers where left augmented after the Phoenix force left her; the same should be for Pete. Even though he's no longer "a host/avatar", I see it in DBZ terms = he has had his potential unlocked twice. Therefore as "regular" Colossus, he should be "STRONGER THAN EVER"😅😅
I agree with the assessment of Colossus being not on the top of the top of powerhouses but just below. He is not quite Thor/Hulk/Sentry/hyperion level but rather around the level of Thing, Hercules and their like.
Isn’t Hercules the physically strongest character in Marvel though? Hulk might have better feats now but I thought it was an established thing that Hercules in Marvel basically has unlimited physical strength.
@@dakotatrue12This is what happens when people use their own flawed notions rather than reading Marvel's strength scales, lore and hierarchy. Yes Hercules, Thor, The Sentry, Juggernaut etc are the physically strongest heroes. Then you have Colossus, Hulk, Hyperion, Gladiator, Beta Ray Bill, Silver Surfer, Wonder Man, Sasquatch etc. Then you have The Thing, Namor, She-Hulk, Luke Cage, Doc Samson, War Machine, Captain Britain etc.
@@IvaNTheUnStoppable How about a Mr.Sinister clone with the powers Quicksilver and Human Torch?Better yet,a male child by Thor and SheHulk?(I believe Thor was smashing that at one point)
In his base base State he's large planet level to galaxy level to bare minimum low multiverse level at full power whens he's not scared to hold back, when he had half of the phoneix force he was at least low complex multiverse level and when he was try-on juggernaut he was at least high multiverse level plus to low complex
This might be a bit of a highball. But then again Colossus did fist fight Gladiator and gave him a good run. But that's mostly what he's known for, Colossus doesnt always finish fights but he do be scrapping.
@@angel444A And I've never once seen The U-Foes take on The Fantastic Four. They were inspired to absorb cosmic rays like the FF and gain their own powers.
Marvel in their hierarchy classed The Thing as level 5, Colossus as level 6, Hulk as level 7, and Thor as level 8. Or are you perhaps talking about physical strength? In that case The Thing has monstrous strength(7/9), Colossus and Hulk has unearthly strength(8/9) and Thor has universal strength(9/9).
@TheMasterofDisaster48 Marvel has had a number of different scaling metrics over the years. I am unfamiliar with the one you reference. Some say Colossus limit is 75 tons and the Things is 85 tons, while some have said that both of their limits can exceed 100 tons. Ultimately, Thing and Colossus have extremely comparable feats to one another across the board. Hulk, Thor, and Hurcules have always consistently been equals or near equals in strength across the decades. All three of whom are stronger then both of them. If Thor is to be considered a higher tier then the Hulk, it is because of his other abilities and Allfather status and not physical strength alone. It has more to do with consistency then any individual scaling metric.
@@johnnybrown2893 Its not as black and whyte you might think. Thor, Hercules, Juggernaut, Worldbreaker Hulk and The Sentry are in the universal strength tier(9/9), however Marvel in their hierarchy(which means overall character and has nothing to do with strength) had classed Thor, The Sentry and Worldbreaker Hulk as level 8, and Hercules and Juggernaut as level 7 hence they're overall inferior. Colossus, Wonder Man, Abomination and Sasquatch are in the same strength tier as Hulk, Gladiator, Hyperion, Count Nefaria and Beta Ray Bill. But in Marvel's hierarchy Colossus, Wonder Man, Abomination and Sasquatch were classed as level 6, while Hulk, Gladiator, Hyperion, Count Nefaria and Beta Ray Bill were classed as level 7 hence overall superior. See Taskmaster only has peak strength but in their hierarchy he's classed level 5 equal to guys that can lift a lot like Iron Man, Carol Danvers, The Thing, Rhino, She-Hulk, Titania, Frenzy, Valkyrie, Thundra, Mr. Hyde, Tiger Shark, Venom, Carnage and Wrecker.
@@johnnybrown2893 I like the old class system from the OHOTMU from the 80's. Thing was listed as 85 tons and Colossus as class 70 or 75. Colossus was still young then so he hadn't reached his peak yet. I can see the mature Colossus easily being in the Class 100 level and Thing being slightly below. I wish the writers would use the stats, heights etc from those handbooks for consistency sake. Colossus is taller than Hulk and Juggernaut but of course in the movies and some comics Juggs is like 10 feet tall (he should be 6'9").
Maybe it's because he's related to his sister and the fact that she's pretty much demonic which can also mean that maybe his armored form has some connection to magic which explains why he was able to shatter that ice.
Depends on the writer. But according to Marvel's character hierarchy they had classed Thanos as level 8 and Colossus as level 6. So Thanos is far superior. The only heroes that were classed as level 8 equal to him are Thor, Silver Surfer, Black Bolt, The Sentry, Phoenix, Phoenix II, X-Man, Blue Marvel, Legion, Danger and Doop. Franklin Richards, Odin, Uatu and Mysterium(Phantom Stranger) were the only heroes classed as level 9 above Thanos.

I beg to differ without the power of the Juggernaut Colossus is still one of the very few men or mutant or whatever who actually KO the hulk and he was green so yeah he's stronger than Gray
Hey you ain't got to convince me. I'm just not trying to overhype him. If the thing can do it I believe Colossus can do it. I wonder if he can lift Thors hammer? That’s the true test… everything else is minimal! 😂 and I love how great he looks in some of these clips makes me wish I had some of these comics.
Damn hopefully this means more x men vids also love the channel
Definitely!!
Can you do a video on the most powerful psychic psyonic beings are my favorite telekinesis and telepathy are my favorite power's
I've been seeing people requesting Cassandra Nova lately because of the new movie lol
I really wish their capabilities in comics were more stable. The constant debates are ridiculous.
Colossus is strong, no doubt!
When he got juggernaut powers!
Magneto laughs!!!
Leave Colossus alone!!!
@@IvaNTheUnStoppable Could Magneto's power set enhance Colossus at all? Since a kid I have wondered. Like supe him up or something? 2 of my favorites.
@IvaN The UnStoppable. Colossus is getting his own movie. Isn't that Cool.
Confirmed?
@@IvaNTheUnStoppable nope
@@eskanda3434 figures! Because it seemed like that would have been all over UA-cam but that was confirmed!
You gotta do how strong is Myaterio and Mr. Mind.
Juggernaut collossus is just soon bad ass
13:06 Anybody know who these two the x men are fighting?
I always wanted Apocalypse to obtain the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, the Phoenix force,or the unipower
Gosh that's terrifying
Folks be sleep on him!
0:56 not this panel Bro
Hulk broke both of his arms 😔
Too bad Colossus hasn't battled Ironclad of The U-Foes. Of course in the old Marvel Handbooks only had Ironclad's strength at 60 tons.
BROOOO I WAS JUST THINK ABOUT THIS ON WEDNESDAY 😂😂 I found it odd that the 2 shiny muscle men at marvel haven't fought yet lol
Y'all funny!
@@angel444A And I've never once seen The U-Foes take on The Fantastic Four. They were inspired to absorb cosmic rays like the FF and gain their own powers.

@@michaelwilson2340 I wonder why marvel writers haven't ever done that team match up seems pretty odd honestly
Hi
I consider Colossus to be equal in power to the Thing. Just one teir lower then the Hulk and Thor level of strength.
We need a how strong is Unstoppable Colossus.🔥🔥
That’s basically this video
Maybe it's because he's related to his sister and the fact that she's pretty much demonic which can also mean that maybe his armored form has some connection to magic which explains why he was able to shatter that ice.
I'm thinking they was trying to imply his punches are just that strong!
@@IvaNTheUnStoppable Comics.
Colossus is such a 🔥 name.
Against Thanos [no gauntlet], would Colossus stand a chance at holding his own in hand to hand combat?
Thanos a lil too much bahahhaah
Depends on the writer. But according to Marvel's character hierarchy they had classed Thanos as level 8 and Colossus as level 6. So Thanos is far superior. The only heroes that were classed as level 8 equal to him are Thor, Silver Surfer, Black Bolt, The Sentry, Phoenix, Phoenix II, X-Man, Blue Marvel, Legion, Danger and Doop.
Franklin Richards, Odin, Uatu and Mysterium(Phantom Stranger) were the only heroes classed as level 9 above Thanos.
That explains why Deadpool hurt himself trying to punch colossus. That was a bad idea spoiler alert.
When the comics made him a rainbow man? I stopped caring.
I believe wolverine is more in the 300lbs range.if can colossus can do the fastball special at 200 mph.that put wolverine at 5,198,917,674,539.0488 ft-lbs of force in bullet science
Yeah I know he's 300 lb I was being lenient! Hahahaha
He is a tinman but more Durable.
In ome universe his powers are omega level
He’s ok but fucked with a magnet👍
I think that mag should nt be able to mess with him. It's organic steel
In his organic steel mode, can a vampire bite him and turn him into a vampire or is he immune?
I would say no. They would have to catch him when he's not in the steel mode
Colossus Is Stupid Strong
I beg to differ without the power of the Juggernaut Colossus is still one of the very few men or mutant or whatever who actually KO the hulk and he was green so yeah he's stronger than Gray
Hey you ain't got to convince me. I'm just not trying to overhype him.
If the thing can do it I believe Colossus can do it.
The only difference between these two is that we've actually seen The thing do it.
But like I said in this video and I showed proof of it. Colossus stalemating the thing in an arm wrestle pretty much proves he's in that ballpark of power as well!
People better stop sleeping on base Colossus
@@IvaNTheUnStoppable I get cha and I agree with 90% of your video but I just know he a stronger then a grey hulk that all also in his metal form he is immune to about 75 to 80% of magic
