Honestly I hate ties, they serve no practical purpose. Why do they exist? Just wearing a dress shirt is fine. I have to wear one for work though so I guess I'll just deal with it.
MyNiceTie Then don't wear a shirt that's too small. Plus that reason alone is not enough to justify the existence of a tie in my mind. I think it's all about aesthetics, they don't serve a practical purpose, it is purely for decoration.
I'm super short and when I tie a regular knot, the tie is way too long. With the double windsor it is the perfect length :D haha. Maybe you should try a regular knot!
