This is beautiful, the way the diagonal buildings make the city more dynamic is impressive given how difficult diagonal builds are in minecraft. I also love the way this city is colourful, too much is classical greek architecture depicted as white and sterile, these vibrant colours add complexity and life to this amazing build. Well done.
@@connorsullivan2745 sure, totally could be. Or maybe its an easter island situation and the people will soon now starve and the island economy will collapse when they cut down the last tree to build too many temples
It is brutally spectacular, it is something from another world, it is art made cubes, it is magnificent, it is something that really has a lot of effort and affection and not everyone knows how to appreciate it. I don't understand why it doesn't have more than 1 million likes. I'm really telling you it's incredible, I also love it because I love Greece but it's impressive the work you put into it.😉😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🙏🏼❤️
The most impressive part was your ability to build at angles like you were simply building straight. It was a brilliant way to add organic design to the world
Oh my gosh!!! I❤this build. The fact that all of it was on diagonals and still looked as good as if it was not is just🤯🤯🤯🤯. Jin tube is such a great builder. Keep on posting I can’t wait to see what he does next!!!!
This is amazing! Wonderful work mate👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 0:37 I would love even more to see this cave here turned into a secret sacred place because according to our mythology Delos was the sacred island of Apollo! Zeus had some affairs with a Goddess named Litò. Lito was pregnant and when Hera founded out that Zeus cheated on her once again she wanted to take revenge from Litò. Hera forbade the goddess of birth go to Litò and by that when Litò’s delivery started she couldn’t give birth because Hera forbade it! Litò was in pain for nine days and nights not be able to give birth to her children. Every place on Earth denied to help of hide Litò so she can give birth in secret. Every place was afraid of Hera’s wrath! For nine days Litò was travelling around Hellas🇬🇷 to find a place to hide from Hera. Then, a this barren and dry island called Delos or Ortygía in more ancient times, went against Hera’s orders and let Litò come to its lands. Zeus tricked Hera and the Goddess of birth found Litò and helped her to give birth. Litò gave birth to twins, Apollo the God of Sun and Artemis the Goddess of the Moon. From ancient times Delos was a sacred place for the Hellenic people🇬🇷 and they visited the sacred island of Apollo only from religious reasons and festivities! Also, the ceremony of receiving the Godly Fire for the Olympics were always coming from Delos! This cave could be the perfect connection with the ancient Hellenic myth! Always mix amazing work👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇷💙
More info on the myth and Delos as a while for those who are interested, Delos was originally a floating island, that travelled around the Mediterranean by its own accord. When Lito fell pregnant with the twins Apollo and Artemis, Hera was so outraged that she forbade any land with roots in the earth to let her give birth. She wandered Greece (Hellas) for 7 months and 7 days before coming across Delos, which, because it’s floating, didn’t count as part of Hera’s curse. Lito gave birth to the twins, and it became their sacred island, as well as 7 becoming their holy number. As punishment for Delos letting Lito give birth, she cursed it to be rooted to the Earth and never wander again, which is why it’s stationary now.
@@xenos3116 i love greek mythology, but its always crazy to me that instead of cursing/punishing their boyfriend/husband who cheated, the punish the woman who he cheated with. medusa deserved better.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe Medusa got turned into a gorgan because she was kissing Poseidon in a temple of Athena, so, since I don’t believe the olympians could curse other olympians, Athena took her wrath out on Medusa, turning her and her two sisters from beautiful young woman into hideous beasts, and Medusa was the only one of the three who gained the power to turn people to stone if they looked at her because she was the one in the temple disrespecting Athena by kissing another god. I could be completely wrong about this, this is just what I remember from something I read a while ago
Ok so I just looked it up and Medusa definitely didn’t deserve to be turned into a gorgon, but Medusa had said that she was more beautiful than the gods, then while she was in Athena’s temple, Poseidon took her purity(this was fairly common back then for men of higher standing to take the purity of a young maiden). So since Medusa did “it”in Athena’s temple (albeit involuntarily) and Medusa had been bragging about her beauty. Athena decided to curse Medusa by turning her into a hideous gorgon with venomous snake for hair and the power to turn anyone into stone if they looked her in the eye.
Im,so impressed, i recently started on building the Athena Partenos statue that is over 100 blockstall, but i think this is like 10 times better. Im a literal fan of ancient Greece and this.. this is amazing, i love it, i think i will use your buildings as a refrence to my future builds, cus im planning kn making a Greek inspired town/city in my friends multiplayer world. So amazing, btw i love your god and hero statues! Perfect!

Exactly my thought lol
It reminds you AC Odyssey because this town is exact copy fom that game, even those docked ships have the same positions as it is in this video.

The colorful architecture is more historically accurate. The reason why ruins of greek cities appear white is because the paint has all washed away
Looks like there are more temples than there are houses. You’d go bankrupt on that island just from making a single day’s offerings!
Maybe it’s a religious site that people make regular journeys to? The majority of people in the city at any given time might be from other cities
@@connorsullivan2745 sure, totally could be. Or maybe its an easter island situation and the people will soon now starve and the island economy will collapse when they cut down the last tree to build too many temples
nah rish people had houses that looked similar to temples, like the one he was building 2:48 .
Temples? Please search up Acropolis and I'm sure u will realise a lot more about ancient Greece. No they didn't have too many temples.
also google delos while you're at it
I love the little detail of offerings placed at the feet of the statues, its a really nice historical touch
