      Your hand looks so sore! I'm sensitive also. It all started with gel nail products and a sloppy manicurist. I had brown goo oozing out from under my nails along with the millions of tiny blisters and peeling. The sensitivity has increased to the point that just the fumes from any UV product causes the skin on my face to burn.

    THIS!!! I love this technique… you come up with the most unique ideas. I’m creative and crafty… but not to this extent. I’ve made suncatchers for a few years and they have always had a long seashell in the middle. Well, even though I live in NC, I can’t just get in the car and drive to pick up shells at the beach. I live in the mountains and it’s a several hour drive. Anyway, I’ve almost depleted my stash of shells and I’ve been trying to think of some way to incorporate my clay addiction in the place of a shell and this technique would be beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity 💗.

    Gorgeous. Very creative and they come out so pretty.
    Because I work like you do - by feel - my hands get red and sometimes sore - I found that taking a fresh aloe leaf, (I bought a plant and grew it in my backyard- it’s a plant you can neglect and once planted will grow anywhere) squeezing the inner goodness into a slimy liquid, rubbing my hands with a good coverage and then putting gloves on - then relaxing for a good fifteen minutes or longer - then washing it off, my hands have turned healthy and soft again. I think mine comes from the alcohol which has a tendency to dry your skin out. Just a share. ❤your work. Awesome Deb!

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the tip!
      My hands are like that because of contact dermatitis from the resin, not so much because I work without gloves, unless I’m using resin. Still, even with gloves, I manage to get it on me 😔

    • @DebbiMarie
      @DebbiMarie 5 місяців тому

      @@clayboutique try the aloe tip anyway. You can usually buy just a leaf in the grocery store. I found mine in Walmart. Tried it and was surprised. I then bought the plant.

      Thank you!
      I just realized that I didn’t actually show the tile I bake on in this video 🤦‍♀️ The only time I don’t lol!
      Anyway, yes, I just bake on a tile, or paper, on top of a baking sheet.
      Baking on a tile can leave the backsides shiny, though, and sometimes divots in the clay. That’s ok if you’re going to glitter and resin the backs. Baking on paper avoids that, so you’ll just need to figure out which you prefer. I tend to switch between the two.
