Watching the manure being spread takes me back to when I was that age and spreading manure with my 1952 Minneapolis Moline. When I was in highschool my Ag Shop and I overhauled it with my class as a semester project. Now that I am 55 I still use it almost every day. I could never get rid of it. It is like that very first girlfriend to me. I'm getting ever closer to getting a round baler.... You're starting to convince me Alan....
So awesome to see Justin coming on up to more teenage chores I've been been watching since he was pretty little lol . He does a good job and listens to dad real well proud moment for sure God Bless
Watching Justin spread manure, took me back to 1952 when I ws taught to spread manure with a 1951 Ford 8N and a 4 wheel ground drive Sears & Roebuck spreader, I was 7 years old. Nice to see you teaching the kids how to do things around the farm and how to do them safely. Keep the videos coming Alan.
I remember being Justin's age and getting to do things on our 620 John Deere. Hauling manure and raking hay. Then when l was a little older, plowing and mowing hay. Good memories. 👍
I'm almost 65 years old, and remember starting off riding my dad's and grandpa's knee, learning to drive on a Red Belly Ford, thought I was something when daddy let me drive it myself. Your son's are going to be a big help one of these days
I love that you have your kids around you farming. I really get a kid outta the younger boy that always seems to follow you around and pops up in the videos😂
Way to go kiddo! Farming is one of the most admirable professions you could aspire to. Way to go dad for making sure your kiddos learn to work and being patient with them! We enjoy the channel.
All I got to say is your a good man with values and honor giving thrust and responsibilities to the kids like that !!! Wow I admirer friend for life even though I never meated you !!! We need more people like you folks .u got a fan .Mario from Ontario !!!
That's awesome seeing Justin out on Franklin spreading his first manure load😁😁 Glad y'all were able to get some more hay cut and rolled!! Sounds like that chopping the second cut last year did help!! Really cool footage and camera angles there while tying!! Really enjoyed that!! Little JD earns it's keep for sure!! Thank you Alan for bringing us along!! Look fwd to more!! 😁😁
Justin looks like he is enjoying poop duty.. he giving 100 percent at everything he does.. he a Ole chip off the Family block... huh... Show your really proud of him👍👍
Wow great video and your young lad on the tractor doing his thing, You made his day. I can remember back when I was his age aprox when I was put on the little 4 cylinder Case with a rake. I was about your lads age. You were scared, but so happy to be given the big task of doing what the men do. You never forget that, I know I have not after 70 years LOL.
Really enjoy your videos. Looks like your going to be having some huge help with your son learning to run the. Diffrent kinds of machines love seeing it. God bless
Great video! Really happy to see Justin working so hard and enjoying it! The video angle of the pick up was really cool! I know taking these videos slows you down, but they’re such a treat for all of us to enjoy, thank you and God Bless Trinity Dairy!
I think that's great that the kids can do the simple chores, like spreading manure, that's how you learn. Non-farming people don't understand that this is something that the kids have been around their whole life,( and believe it or not they do pay attention) , so
Looks like the hay we make here in the hills of NY. We call that hill hay, it varies from year to year, on good years it has more clover in it. My angus cows would love that hay you are making. Good to see your son learning to run his tractor. I started on my older brothers John Deere B when I was 9 years old, driving the dump cart while others picked stones. Later I got promoted to picker. LOL.
my first tractor job was taking the milk in churns to the end of the lane twice a day and bring back the empty's , its great to kids getting stuck in down on the farm
I was that age when I run equipment for my Dad! Cows won't eat where you spread manure! That's how we kept them away from the fence, spread a load of manure along the fence line! What's the chance of rain-40 percent, that mean 60 percent it won't rain, mow hay!! (doesn't always work that way!)
Nice video. Great to see kids learning to farm. I was about his size when I started raking hay and hauling wagons with a John Deere B. We had a Ford just like that one too and I recall standing on the brakes.
Start em young my sons 7 so hopefully in next couple years he'll be cutting his tractor teeth haha God knows I could use the help! He knows the process now I just don't think dad's ready to cut him loose
Hey Alan guy here in Western PA. Been talking to you off and on for the last year year and a half about that BN that we restored. I have a young man that works for me a little bit that has a channel on UA-cam called Ford farming if you can find him, you will see some shots of him cultivating with our bn and also we have some shots of the c and it's cultivators. He's also got some of us in there combining with our old gleaner, and some guys from our local farm show cutting boats with a binder for the threshing demonstrations that will take place next week during our county farm show. Hope you're able to find those.
Those were some really good shots of the round baler doing this thing I understand the principle but I don't understand how they roll it I would need to have someone explain that to me I'd be really neat to see how that works in person. Nice to see Justin's getting out there and helping you out thanks for the video.
If I get a chance, I'll try to explain how they work. The small round baler that I have makes a soft core bale, and that one works different than the chain baler.
So they are probably more capable than what some may think, Andy from fixing farming and fabricating had a vid pulled down from 7 years ago for child endangerment, total bs as far as I'm concerned
If he was on the John Deere, yes, it would be a safety hazard. On the 9N, they can always just stand up to push the pedals down. That's why a lot of farms had 8N and 9N tractors for their kids to use.
@@trinitydairy Probably want you to put those kids in bubble wrap too. My dad had me on an A John Deere raking hay when I was 9. Sorry can't help myself some of these comments here are really uncalled for. Do they really think you would jeopardize the safety of your children??
It must be a proud moment for you as parents to see the success you're having raising the next generation of American Farmers - God bless you all!

Great to see Justin involved in driving the tractors. I was his age when I started driving tractors. All he needs is confidence.

Boy do I wish I had a farm for my boys to grow up on. God has really blessed you!!

Recently came across your channel and I'm really enjoying the wholesomeness of the farm and your family. Keep up the great videos!

Really like a young farmer
Thanks for sharing. God Bless you and your family.
I learned how to drive an Oliver super 77 as my first tractor. He is driving very well, glad to see videos like these.

🧙♂️☕♥️🇺🇲🐄🚜👍 laying in the feed for winter and I hope it's not a rough winter
I'd like to see the State Fair or a farming entity there bring in farming, FFA, or 4H UA-camrs for a talk and Q & A sessions.
That was my first tractor job two at about eight years old then I went on from there
Reminds me of my younger days. Great video
I enjoyed working with and training my boys over the years.
Who.is more proud dzd or the kid. Alan you are going to have so much time on your hand in the future. 😆 you fill find something else to.work.on.

Awesome video.
I watch alot of farming channels..That is the first time I have seen that shot of the baler from the front..very interesting ..nice job man
Start em young my sons 7 so hopefully in next couple years he'll be cutting his tractor teeth haha God knows I could use the help! He knows the process now I just don't think dad's ready to cut him loose
Another very good video
Wonder how many times that little Ford has paid for itself in the 70 odd years since Henry made it. Pretty hardy little machines.
Very good job and God bless
Very nice! I have the same problem here with my john deere and the two stage clutch. It's not for a beginner.
Love the videos !!!
he is doing well spreading
i worked for a farmer in Vermont,he had 2 Hesston`s, a 1070 and 1071
we got a good dumping of rain here in Vt the last couple of days
We're dry here, we could really use some rain.

I'll definitely check it out!
Nice videos Al. Are you all going to be at the Fair this year?
Yeah, we'll be at the Carlton County fair this year.
awesome.

Don't bother I'd really need to be there in person to fully understand it.
can the little ford run the tedder? you are very brave alan following that manure spreader like that suprized ya dont get a shower
The drawbraw on the tractor is too far back from the PTO, so it over extends the tedder PTO. I actually bent the PTO last year using it on the Ford.
Congrats on 20k subs.!
Thanks!
👌
Hey that Justin is a tractor operaten man
Was this the cutting hay when you was baling your last video or is this a new bailing video?
This is a new one
4:00: that pto shaft looks knackered / badly out-of-balance to me. imma saying that's dangerous...
The shaft isn't out of balance, the guard is loose and that wobbles some.
👍👌❤🇨🇦
No bother to that tractor, but what about a pto guard.
We make sure to be very careful, around any pto's weather they have a guard on them or not.
Is that a 8n ?
9n
@@trinitydairy That's great I use an 8n for everything. I would of never though It could pull that spreader so easy.
So they are probably more capable than what some may think, Andy from fixing farming and fabricating had a vid pulled down from 7 years ago for child endangerment, total bs as far as I'm concerned
Chip of theole block.
If he can t reach the pedals and controls from the seat than he is a safety hazard and you know it.
If he was on the John Deere, yes, it would be a safety hazard. On the 9N, they can always just stand up to push the pedals down. That's why a lot of farms had 8N and 9N tractors for their kids to use.
