  • Today we're looking at dermal fillers for men one more time. This time, how they can replace lost volume in the jaw line.
    📖 More information: 📖
    Dermal fillers have become popular during recent years for their use in famous lip transformations (we're looking at you, Kylie!)
    More and more people are turning to the injectable for a bit of help looking lovelier, but still remain unaware that they can be utilised all over the face for a subtle, refreshed look.
    Today, I'm going to be putting a bit of filler in our models jaw.

      Sergio Vargott depends how you want to maintain it! The first time you do it you’ll probably need to use a fair amount to get a full result, after that you end up using less and less because you get collagen stimulation.

But this is nice too, maybe I will do this too but is it possible to safely do it when the implant was already placed? And fillers are not permanent right?

      Turbo handsome - I like the sound of that Daniel 😆thank you. Fillers are not permanent and after you’ve had any surgery I would give it a lot of time to settle down before adding additional filler to the same area.

    Thanks and keep up the great work,
    Tom x

    I don't love this one. I do think the after looks like he goes to the gym but I do think he looks older and I think his face looks fatter like he's gained weight and he looks militant. The before photo he just looks a little more vibrant and youuthful. The after on his chin bothers me it kind of looks like there is a bump underneath the cleft that wasn't there before. I do like that the jawline is more crisp but I don't think most guys want their face to be any wider unless they have a really narrow face. It's funny that you say straight eyebrows on guys are very masculine which I will not deny but I have a natural arch in my eyebrow that I don't really have to do anything with and it's probably the one feature of mine that gets complimented more than anything else. His nostril on one side seems higher than the other I wonder if some kind of filler could have been done underneath of it to try to level them out..

  • @mohammedplaystore
    @mohammedplaystore 6 років тому +4

    Can you make a video on buccal fat pad removal? I’m thinking of getting it done for a more chiselled face, I’m only 19 and don’t want to increase my ageing though

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  6 років тому +1

      Abdul Rashid I would but I don’t do buccal fat removal myself... at some point in the future when I start getting more people to come on the channel, then I will. I would say though that it seems pretty drastic? You’re really young and that fat isn’t going to come back! You could try something reversible first maybe with hyaluronic acid to enhance your bone structure because then at least you can dissolve it if you don’t like it.

    • @mohammedplaystore
      @mohammedplaystore 6 років тому

      Dr Sarah Tonks thanks for your reply, I love your channel by the way! I'm thinking of getting dermal filler for my tear troughs as my sister is going to get married soon and I don't want to look tired all the time, Thanks for the advice on buccal fat

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  6 років тому

      That's incredibly sexist.
      "Women aren't meant to look fat, they're meant to be curvy" is an example of what you said, but geared towards women. See how what you said is sexist?
      Men can look youthful AND masculine. The two are not mutually exclusive, and neither makes you less of a man than the other.

    Amazing, stunning results! How much product in ml was used on chin and jaw? Does radiesse holds longer than voluma? Keep up the good work and thanks for great content! ❤️

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  6 років тому +2

      larnacaLCA I can’t exactly remember but it was a lot 😂. It must have been about 10ml but probably more. I would say yes Radiesse does last a little longer and can give you a stronger result because it’s not hyaluronic acid like Voluma is. There are a lot of benefits to Radiesse like it lasting longer, and you tend to get more bang for your buck because it can come in a 1.5ml syringe so it’s more cost effective. However there is more immediate post procedure swelling and it cannot be removed with hyaluronidase so because of this I wouldn’t use it in high risk areas. I find Radiesse great for laying ground work and then any touch ups I tend to do with hyaluronic acid!

      WaterspoutsOfTheDeep good shout, on the nose although I generally prefer to refer for a rhinoplasty than use filler here. The lips- yeah maybe, but I think it would look better doing it now there is more volume in the lower part of that face. Maybe that’s phase 2!

  • @joshuataylor6087
    @joshuataylor6087 6 років тому +4

    Men are just embarrassed about it. They care just as much as women but they have some weird social conditioning hang-up that if they are too honest or do something about it they will be seen as vain which is feminine but then they will spend hours looking at themselves at mirrors in the gym so go figure. I've had heaps of conversations with males who are really curious about it and you can tell they want to try but are too scared. I always tell my cosmetician lady this, there is an enormous market for men but they just need to be put at ease about it. In saying that men's faces can be feminized drastically if someone doesn't know what they are doing so they need to be aware of this too.

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  6 років тому +2

      Joshua Taylor yes totally agree with you. I find male patients are a little different to treat on a personal level too- they like to know the exact reason for doing certain procedures, and the science behind it. Female patients usually are a little less interested in the process of it. Sweeping generalisation, but just my experience.

    • @joshuataylor6087
      @joshuataylor6087 6 років тому +1

      LOL. That's so very true, Sarah. I freak out when any medical practitioner can't explain the science behind what they are doing and if they 'just won't' then I have a lot of trouble trusting them. We live in the age of information, I don't know how any doctor can think they are above informed dialogue in the 21st Century.

    Very sorry. The man without fillers is more attractive than the treated one. You must be American to wish that results. He looks perfectly fine simply the way he was. Natural. Not later on. I do not like fillers. They migrate. Always do. Or, simply get reabsorbed. Letting traces and minimal trauma that can change into permanent skin retraction. A true risk on the face. Use real tailored prothesis that will not collapse instead. Simply do it yourself. It has been used for decades and it is safe in only bony areas.

      i do not agree about implants... Now imagine he did this ogre jawline with an implant?? Imagine losing 20+k dollars, then to cut it open again to take this out... And these fillers of his will go away on their own in a few years.

    What exactly is Penlargerem System? How does this thing really work? I notice lots of people keep on talking about this popular natural male enhancement.

      Regina George depends really, anything from £450 to 5000. There are loads of variables

      £450 to £5000? That's such a big gap. How much would it cost to get the exact same thing done as the guy in the video?

      Lord Vader yeah I know it’s because it all depends where you’re coming from and where you want to get. This product comes in 1.5ml syringes and they are pretty expensive so you can imagine if you’re close to your ideal it won’t take too much to make a difference, but if you’re pretty far from it then you’re going to need more if you see what I mean. I think we used about 6 syringes for this so it would be towards the higher end of the spectrum. HOWEVER for maintenance you wouldn’t use as many as that.
