When I was much younger, myself & friends would fill an automoble and go to San Francisco. We would see Dead Shows (mainly on New Years Eve). Winterland & The Fillmore West Dead Shows. It shure is NICE to be Young. These Furthur Shows Being back Fond Memories of those 1970-1973 Shows. ENJOY Everyone.
This is incredible, what a tight group, Kadlicek plays better than anyone with them since Jerry and He seems to just be taking off, Jerry would be smiling!!
these shows from Mill Valley do sound great... I m enjoying the uploaded videos and the live streams... FURTHER have gotten real tight .... hope they will keep the G Dead spirit alive... for more years.. more tours....
Dark Star (v1)> Morning Dew> Dark Star (v2)> Lady with a Fan> Terrapin Station> Days Between> Sugar Magnolia> Sunshine Daydream E: Donor Rap, Box of Rain very jazzy jams in Dark Star, esp the 2nd part. Days Between was perfect. first notes of Sugar Mag and you hear "Noooo!" perhaps b/c they want to hear an extended jam of Days or because it marks the ending of the set.
I agree with you about the setlists. Furthur shows have been really amazing when it comes to song selection. All the best tunes are in steady rotation, and gems like The Eleven, Alligator, Pride of Cucamonga, Unbroken Chain, St. Stephen and Dark Star are showing up consistently. Even later songs I didn't really care for (like Liberty, Foolish Heart, Corrina, Days Between) have been given better arrangements and now sound much better than their old '80s/'90s-pop arrangements did.
Stupendous utput from these artists How do you top a A.M. dew like that one ? Dark star pt . 2 What powerful music project this is . Thanks for keeping on playin' Phil and Bob at their age deserve to be thanked much for this ... POSTSCRIPT: I wish the GD in their day picked these setlists a bit more like these days . Est. > Cumberland . D Star > Dew > Star reprise > Terrapin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers
43:55 'lady with a fan' in the crowd...cool. she got her wish song. the band may not be trippin any more but the fans shown after 43:00...? Terrapin is a masterpiece, wonder why they did not play the awesome epilogue jam? seems incomplete, like a symphony lacking the 4th movement.
Iv'e never left a comment on any video before but this one really deserves every applause it gets. Best post Garcia show I've seen.

I can't help but miss great tone - without cranked gain. Hard to do. Do they even know when they're phoning it in their own selves?
🎼🎶
God dam i miss Jerry.
Terrapin is at 38:13
They have come along away........further to go...
Step fusion...coltrane....new sound.....so much further to go
windy in his sails....
The background singers always look oddly out of place, but sound good.
WMITM was getting old 20 years ago.........
