i think the normal ringtone length is 30 seconds until it automatically misses it. so your file goes on for 30 seconds. there is no way around it although it will still play. it won't matter either as you cannot hear the rest of your song

Guys for those of you who don’t have music options or a source of music , you can use voice memos for iPhone. Just record the music you want as a ringtone and save it to garage band and do the same process this guy did. It works!!

You’re welcome! 😊 Yes, the ringtone will be still there even if you delete the GarageBand. However you won’t be able to delete this ringtone in future. So better option is OFFLOAD the GarageBand. Offloading will keep only few MBs on iPhone and delete the rest of the app (say 1.5 GBs) Offloading is Apple’s new feature for iOS 11 and higher. 😄

Very Useful For creating a Ringtone. Apple said I would have to load it to iCloud and them bring it back to the iPhone to make it a ringtone USING GARAGEBAND! Now that I knopw how to get the sounds I want into the iPhone AS A RINGTONE it's easy to restore them to what I had before ! Thanks very much: 1) The screen in the youtube video cut off the top and bottom of the screen. Your descriptions were necessary to know what button to press! 2) In Catalina and iOS 13.3, the menu in Settings is not Sounds. It's now Sounds and Haptics, but thet is where you DO set your ringtone (Or for a specific person, the ringtone will show up there and in Contacts as it did before)

This method worked fine for me a few weeks ago (03.04.2020) , Tried it today, but when i share the file, i dont get the option to choose the ringtone format( 2:38 ) just the "default" share panel from Apple... Anyone got a fix? EDIT: Nevermind, i just diddn't follow the tutorial well enough make sureyou do 100% as he said. It still works.

No. The ringtone will stay there. But you won’t be able to delete that ringtone from your iPhone. Rather deleting, I’d suggest to OFFLOAD this app to save the storage space 😄
Hey friend, please go into Settings > Sounds & Haptics and select Ringtone option. Now make sure your new ringtone is selected. Now try and let me know if you can here this ringtone or not? 🤔

IT WORKED, IT WORKED, IT WORKED!!! This senior gal was able to make The Chosen-Trouble as my main ringtone on my SE!!! So many thanks to you Friendly Vikas!!!
Because it is Apple Music. Apple doesn’t allow making ringtones out of Apple Music. You’ll need to add (DRM free) songs from your computer to your iPhone. Else, use third party apps for making ringtones. If you wish, you can visit my channel, playlist number 5 for other ringtone making videos using third party apps. 😊
Now add your song to FILES app using DOCUMENTS 5 app. Then using Apple Loops, import that song into GarageBand. And follow the video procedure 😄 - You can add song to your iCloud from your PC also.

In that case you need a good mp3 editor. You can use apps like RINGTONE MAKER from AppStore and edit your song as per your preference. Bring that song into GarageBand and set it as your ringtone.

No, you don’t need to. Just download any song from internet, or if you have any song on your PC, you can add it to iTunes and make a ringtone. If you don’t want to do that, visit my channel, playlist number 5 and checkout tutorial “set any song as a ringtone” That’ll help you to make a ringtone completely on iPhone without downloading any song. 😄
Not from the Settings. You can share the edited ringtone (my song) from GarageBand. Then the other person need to set it as a ringtone from GarageBand app the way you have done it. 😅

No. The ringtone will stay there. But you won’t be able to delete that ringtone from your iPhone.
Rather deleting, I’d suggest to OFFLOAD this app to save the storage space 😄

Hey friend, please go into Settings > Sounds & Haptics and select Ringtone option. Now make sure your new ringtone is selected.

Friend, Apple doesn’t allow making ringtones from purchased songs. Only songs added by you, will work. 🤕
Try MusicToRingtone app. You still need GarageBand but makes it soooo much easier.

Because it is Apple Music.
Apple doesn’t allow making ringtones out of Apple Music.
You’ll need to add (DRM free) songs from your computer to your iPhone.
Else, use third party apps for making ringtones.

In that case you need a good mp3 editor.
You can use apps like RINGTONE MAKER from AppStore and edit your song as per your preference. Bring that song into GarageBand and set it as your ringtone.

You can share the song you edited in GarageBand using share button and your friend need to set it up as a. ringtone using GarageBand again 😊

No, you don’t need to. Just download any song from internet, or if you have any song on your PC, you can add it to iTunes and make a ringtone.

Can the ringtone share to other Apple user via Airdrop?
Not from the Settings. You can share the edited ringtone (my song) from GarageBand.
Then the other person need to set it as a ringtone from GarageBand app the way you have done it. 😅
