Kiser has really been knockin' it outta the park, lately. Everything about this knife just works so well. Beautiful. Black mirror blade, with the subdued shine black titanium scales. And the fat carbon accentuates, rather than upstages, the 2 different black finishes.
Thanks MC. I ended up getting one of these after you announced it. It's the first knife that my wife actually likes the sound of me opening it multiple times. Plus, I always wanted a mirror finish, and it's as close as I will get without spending a ridiculous amount of money.
I have never been a fan of coated blades because of the reasons you stated: lack of durability, the chalky texture, the added friction, etc. But this style of DLC is exception-worthy. I look forward to new offerings that should be coming out. Thanks for sharing this information!

This was my second Kizer knife.. I'm very impressed with this and my MoMo.. I usually stick with a larger knife, but saw this and took a shot. It's amazing! The action is spot on and it just feels nice in my hands. I would definitely pick one up if you can.

I have one of the older cold steel od green American lawmans with the xhp dlc blade. I carried and used that knife for about 4 years and there's almost no wear on the blade. They were way ahead of their time with that coating because it seems only now that companies are starting to catch on to it.
If WE made this they’d want $350 for it

After missing the first "pre-order" discount drop. I was determined to not miss the next drop, so i set my alarms for the next drop and managed to snag two! One for me and one for a friend's birthday gift. It shipped and I'm just waiting for it to come in now

I was amazed at how much more durable PVD is than Ceracote so if DLC is more durable than PVD it must be near indestructible.
Well in testing it showed it is as good as it can get. More durable that what Spyderco is putting on their knives. Stazza tested it few weeks ago ago

I own so many Kizers and the best action belongs to the Kizer Clutch. Carlos Elstner design. Don't believe me, fine. This thing is phenomenal. If you have the opportunity to get your hands on one, do it. I know it's a bit boring looking and didnt make any waves, but I greatly prefer it to my Militaw or Veritas.
i took my first civivi black blade elementum, poked a soda can, and it was all scratched up
That coating was probably PVD or paint. DLC SHOULD hold up better. I had a civivi vision fg with a black coating that got scratched up from cutting a cardboard box so I feel your pain.
The look isn't for me, but very excited for our polished DLC era.
Super good price. I love the different deployment options. If it had a tanto blade and a thin to large handle profile I would be all over it.
DLC is used in the gun industry quite a bit. Have several bolts that are polished DLC coated. A knife with this coating would be super nice.
I’m gonna buy the base version of the Militaw as this overall design has been on my radar since Kizer released it! I love this version andthe price, but I’m not gonna bend over backwards trying to get this specific one knowing the number that are released will be lower!

Lets get a torture test on that DLC. I always avoid coated blades because they look like crap after a month.

Not grumbled I missed this one, the purple CF is a big no for me. Can't wait to see what other knives they bring out in polished dlc though!

I'm working on 2 builds for frag zirconium scales I recently picked up. One Manix 2, and one Para 3. I'd probably pay 100 bucks/blade to get two Cruwear blades DLC coated like that. I'm pretty sure Sergio wouldn't do it for me.

What coating is on the kizer fiest? Seems tough as hell. I'm thinking not paint.busted into 4 or 5 coconuts with it testing that 3v

Militaw vs Bench Narrows?. I know its difirent league but... How much close this stuff are?. don't mind price only tech and feeling.(?).
Anybody know if anyone makes custom inlays for the Militaw? I missed the drop on this one, but I managed to snag the original Militaw instead. I tend to prefer the dark titanium look of the original, but the plain Micarta inlay is a little lackluster for me. I think it would look absolutely fantastic with a weave CF or Fat Carbon inlay, or anything besides plain Micarta. I did a google search ultie times with no luck. I still LOVE the aesthetics of it just the way it is, but a custom inlay would take it to the next level!
I want one! But nobody has it in stock!
I'm absolutely in love with the look and feel of the original Militaw. But they've screwed me and every other left-handed person by not offering a lefty version or reversible clip! Hey Kizer...don't you want my $$$?!

I've seen this one knife that look like it had black Damascus on it but I'm not sure if I should have bought it😅
A lot of damascus looks black due to the etch. It's pretty common. Most likely not a coating

@@mj1653 you wouldn’t even have gotten this polished dlc if it weren’t for UA-camrs like MC and others, asking for them. You should be more thankful and less salty.
Love the knife design and dlc coating, but the fat carbon I can't stand unfortunately
My experience with Kizer hasn't been great. I just bought last year's sheepdog and was sent a 2nd quality knife. It was covered in greasy fingerprints, with a very squeaky and gritty action, inconsistent grind lines, and an over-tumbled and rusted blade. It looked like an old beater with new scales and came in an old beat-up knife box. They've been slow-rolling any action taken. At this point, I want my money back and to walk away because they don't seem to care unless you're an influencer. If you're gonna buy a Kizer don't buy direct.

I was so disappointed back when I first saw this was a front flipper.
It has an opening hole. The front flipper can be completely ignored
@@metal_complex Yeah, I know. I just would have preferred a regular flipper I would actually use if there was gonna be one. But I understand it may have changed the aesthetics in a way they didn't want.

Lots of people got them. But yes. Sometimes they send samples to people like me. That's the very reason this video (and the original) exists for you to watch. Hope it helps you prepare for the next opportunity
