I live in a country that enforces strict knife laws(any folder over 2.36 inches, or fixed over 5.9 inches requires a permit from the police…), and kinds of knives available are limited, so I get vicarious satisfaction from watching these knife videos; and I must say that yours is the best!!!
Sorry to hear you live in a country where your freedoms are restricted. Teach your children that elections have consequences and to not be complacent when tyrants are in power.
I wish more companies would polish DLC. Or do that T.i.C.N like spyderco Taiwanese made models.
I have the Artisan cutlery satyr in s90v and the semi- reflective polished finish resembles some of the spyderco thai Chun models. It was a great deal for $200. But I honestly think kizers stonewash is better looking. I have yet to come across anything better then kizers stonewash as far as mass produced knives.
Stassa’s test of the drop bear in s45 was extremely surprising. It appears that kizer absolutely NAILED the heat treat. Even he was surprised

Nothing I've gotten so far in the price range of the militaw has the best out of the box action that it has. Pure guillotine out of the box.
Me either. The Miguron Moral and Land 812 were much less expensive with stellar action.

You hit the nail on the head, Kizer has the best Cross Bar style lock. Civivi and We have the best button locks. Both companies have great detents in their respective locks. I have had an issue with my WE Qubit bouncing out of the lock when I open it. But every other button lock I have from them are fantastic.
So many other companies seem to have problems getting the detent dialed in on Cross bar and button lock knives, you can't build up pressure on the deployment before breaking the detent. It's like pushing into a Guitar string, you can't get any power behind the blade.
I just got a Kiser Towser K, with copper scales. Smoothest action I've ever had in a knife. This is my 5th Kizer. They keep knocking it out of the park, along with Kansept.
I've got a lot of knives and there is none I carry more than my Militaw. It's a great design and it has great ergonomics. Smooth as silk. It has stayed sharp and performed well. I love it and I will own that DLC version. Thanks, brother for the videos. They've helped me through a lot of hard nights. God bless!

Prove that they nailed s45vn. They dont nail any of their steels. They are all average or below average.

Kizer makes awesome knives whether they are $50 or $250.
I have an older toxic storm drop bear which is amazing but got my wife an artic storm one last drop and they've refined even more since. Its unreal then i got a sheepdog clutch its even better. They own the crossbar lock as far as in concerned.
yeah buddy thanks for shring also im using a very cheap AMAZON WHETSTONE KIT that only cost 18 dollars for 2 whetstones a strop and a stone holder with a couple other things and man ive sharpened over like 30 knives so far and man for 18 dollars is not bad but i could only guess to what it would be like to have a good whetstone or dimond stone to sharpen with lol

Anybody know if anyone makes custom inlays for the Militaw? I missed the drop on this one, but I managed to snag the original Militaw instead. I tend to prefer the dark titanium look of the original, but the plain Micarta inlay is a little lackluster for me. I think it would look absolutely fantastic with a weave CF or Fat Carbon inlay, or anything besides plain Micarta. I did a google search ultie times with no luck. I still LOVE the aesthetics of it just the way it is, but a custom inlay would take it to the next level!
I think the hogue mysto aims more toward competing with the Osborne. The Deka competes with the bugout

Dear lord it was about damn time seeing an OEM use a real DLC on their knives, unlike so many others that are guilty being extremely lazy and just putting "DLC" in the knifes description online, when in actuality most are just PVD/ceramic coating.
**Pro-tip** for anyone who struggles figuring out what coating is actually being used on a knifes blade, always remember that PVD/Black-wash will always be matte/subdued in appearance, while true DLC (diamond like carbon-coating) will be shiny while also being reflective; depending on how polished the blade is underneath, the final finish could appear mirror-like and extremely reflective (complete mirror polish prior to DLC, will be more reflective after DLC is applied compared to the higher the satin finish is, the less reflective the DLC will appear).
The dlc coating can vary according to the different manufacturers. how much you use, the application and how your stock material is treated. so yes it is DLC, (IMO it is a lot cheaper for kizer to apply real DLC instead of getting a verry big fine and a verybad reputation).. so Vhere doyou have your insider knowledge from? do they also lie about the blade material?

And I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that I’m claiming kizer is using a fake DLC here with this knife. Read my first comment and you’ll see it praising the fact that a real DLC is being used here. Not sure what bit of info from my other comment that I wrote is factually untrye. Several OEMS have been guilty of putting DLC on their item descriptions but when receiving the knife it’s actually a PVD.

I am praising Kizer here for it actually containing a DLC coating when I said that 99% of other manufacturers are guilty of putting DLC in descriptions of certain knives, only for myself and others to receive the said knife and it contains a PVD/cerakote finish.
Do I have insider information? No, I'm just an intelligent knife enthusiast who can decipher between a DLC and a PVD coating, and in reality, a lot of knives listed as DLC are actually PVD/cerakote. I didn't mention WHICH companies have put DLC on knife descriptions when they were in fact PVD; I just simply stated that there are companies that do it still and have done it in the past.

It's because they cost far less to apply. There are only so many companies that have the ability to do a true DLC coating. The process is variably different than PVD is. That's just objectively true.

Calling out to all American companies! Seriously where is the competition to all these bangers? I'm as American/Maga as they come but as a knife lover and collector where can I find this quality these materials and the amount of options that is American made? Don't tell me I'm the problem, American greed is the problem. I'm all for paying a little more but it's either double triple more or either you can't even buy it because it's so limited.

Militaw for the win!! Love the Hogue too but you are 100 percent right calling out American companies; Kizer has been owning the cross bar lock for the last year and only a few companies are following their example. It’s time to step it up!

I got both. Militaw all day long. It's smoother, and easier on your fingers and pockets. If you fidget you're going to want the Militaw. The Varatas is a beautiful knife but the Militaw is just an all-around better knife to me.
