I can't recall how every bass note was played in this song, but I can tell you that most were played using hybrid picking. pick down the lowest string with your pick at the same time you play other notes will be ok. keep practicing and you will make it！

oh, it's not a one take recording. I usually record and listen then retake where I don't like it. this helps me fix little mistakes and doing some extra mixes. and I think an audio interface will help for recording cleaner sound than mics

Ibanez has better tones but I prefer the thin neck of Charvel when playing. Also, if you want to choose between dk24 and az, dk24 doesn't have stainless frets and I think this is pretty important.
I have a compressor outside my audio interface, then Tim's neural DSP's compressor. but I then what makes it clean is to change the gate to mute noises

Try Neural DSP like Tim Henson or Cory Wong's version then pick a clean amp with compressor and reverb.
