Yeah, but if you have the use of a donor board it means you are repairing other consoles. In that case why get rid of it after taking only a few components ? And why not keep the power supply ?

The fact so many components are missing, most likely this was used as a donor board so I doubt it was a fixable issue in the first place. But you never know. I would also check under the foam. Liquid metal could have gotten around the caps.
If someone had already been using it as a donor board, no reason to get rid of it at that point. There's still plenty of good components and a good power supply.

Using liquid metal was truly a mistake. I really don't know what Sony was thinking. A more airflow focused design and a high quality thermal paste would have been more than sufficient to cool the APU. Just look at the Xbox Series X. Sony always goes for weird (and IMO ugly) design over functionality, and then we get stupid bandaids like liquid metal to make up for the poor airflow.
This may be a bit esoteric but: The next non-fixable PS5 you get with the components missing from this one should be the donor PS5 to give those components to. The thing isn't running because the system is detecting missing components that are vital to the operation of the console. That PS5 is fixable. You just need to thoroughly scour the internals to get rid of ALL the liquid metal (which is undoubtedly messing something up) and find the components that are nonextistent on this PS5 on another PS5 that is also irreprable.
