Nothing like a food plot video! Great work Brad. And good to see someone else using an old ATV. (Even though your fancy 4 wheeler is way newer!). Mine is n 03’. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. Take care!!! 😁👍🏼👊🏼
Lots more coming up, Joe! I've only planted one acre so far....still dry. That's a 2006 Suzuki....not trying to buy a new one at today's prices! Thanks for dropping by.
Have you tryed suger beats? We been told there deer ice cream. We have found conflict info. Some say plant them in the fall some say spring. I know eating beats are planted in the fall. Any idea? We have planted wheat, rey, oats, peas and crimson clover
@@PineyGroveHomestead i am suprise you had to plant turnips. This side of the county we have the wild turnips all over the place. I have heard that the suger beats are to deer what chufa is to turkey. I don't know. We are trying to get just a few lbs. To try planting this fall and a some in the spring to see. But the best we found 8.99 a pound + shipping.

That ATV sprayer is nice! Sure a lot less work than my backpack sprayer! Lol
They come in handy around the farm for sure!

We tried turnips and radishes, but felt it wasn't worth the effort. Rye, wheat, clover, chicory and clover is a great combo for us.

@@tbjtbj4786 we tried chufa...didn't see the turkeys use it. But turkeys love clover! and corn from a deer feeder!
@@PineyGroveHomestead yea I know they love clover. And the corn. But you can hunt on a clover or chuffa patch. Not so much around a feeder lol.
@@PineyGroveHomestead i had good luck with the chufa and turkey until we started getting a few hogs. The took the patch out quickly.
