Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, I am hardhearted and lustful and judgmental and terribly selfish. I have worked so hard my entire life to get it right, to "earn" your love and your mercy. If you can explain Matthew 2:15, and Matthew 2:23 based on what the scriptures quoted say. Don't tell me the meaning didn't change from the original writing to what Matthew interpreted it to mean.

It's not about what you give. All we have is a blessing from God and He only asks for 10% of it back to the church to help promote the teachings of Jesus in [that] community. It's more about your heart posture than it is about the amount you give. Check out the story in Luke 21 for clarification. Giving, or tithing, to a church is a way to show God you can be trusted with what He's entrusted to you. Again, it's all about heart posture. Blessings.
